MOVIE CHLOE
It's so beautiful.

[She approaches Movie Scott and they look over an expansive landscape, the ground covered with white plant-like organisms.]

INT—CLOVA THEATER

SCOTT
(agitated)
Whoa, listen.

CHLOE
What?

MOVIE CHLOE
It's like an ocean of flowers.

INT—CLOVA THEATER

SCOTT
This doesn't look familiar to you?

[Someone sshh's him.]

INT—ON SCREEN, MOVIE PLANET, DAY

MOVIE SCOTT
(smiling)
It just goes on forever, doesn't it?

[She goes to her knees and waves her hand over the top of the white flowers. Waves of different colors wash over them out to the distance.]

MOVIE CHLOE
Do you see that?

MOVIE SCOTT
Yeah. Watch this.

[He kneels beside her. He moves his hand, and ripples of light blue, purple, and green spread out in waves over the flowers. Movie Chloe laughs.]

SCOTT
(to the screen characters)
Get out of there.

After I left Redmond Washington in February 2004 and moved to Spokane Valley, look at your maps if you want to know how to get there, I was living at a long-term hotel where I planned to stay until I found other employment and then I was going to rent an apartment. Just about every day I saw a chief petty officer in a khaki United States Navy uniform pass by my window. I guess they had him in the unit next door to mine. I saw him often enough that I identified the chief petty officer insignia on the shirt collar of his uniform.

They certainly went to great lengths to discredit me. I mean, am I not discredited even to this very day?

But hey, let's give the Devil some credit where credit is due. I was never a chief petty officer of the United States Navy.

Between 1990 and 1993 contiguously I was a chief warrant officer of the United States Marine Corps.

The Coeur d'Alene are a Native American people who lived in villages along the Coeur d'Alene, St. Joe, Clark Fork and Spokane Rivers; as well as sites on the shores of Lake Coeur d'Alene, Lake Pend Oreille and Hayden Lake, in what is now northern Idaho, eastern Washington and western Montana.

In their language, members call themselves Schitsu'umsh (or Skitswish), meaning The Discovered People or Those Who Are Found Here. French Canadian fur traders in the late 18th or early 19th century gave them their non-native name. The name Cœur d'Alène means Heart of an Awl, referring to the perceived shrewdness of the trading skills exhibited by the tribe.

Damnit, I know I wrote several times about that woman in Coeur d'Alene Idaho. On 27 June 2004 when I crossed the finish line of that 2.4 mile swim course and 112 mile bicycle course and 26.2 mile running course she was one of two women who were apparently volunteers who were assigned to escort the course finishers away from the finish line and towards the exit area for the course finishers. On the website for the Ironman Coeur d'Alene 2004 triathlon I later watched the video that company, a racketeering organization famously associated with the State of Hawaii, and I could clearly see the video of where she put her hand on my chest. After they escorted me out of the finish line area and directed me to a tent where she told me I could find pizza, which I did but that wasn't as appetizing as it sounded, she made the comment about how she knew I did not want to be there and I responded about how I did want to be there. I was standing there about 11:20 PM in my Nike Pegasus running shoes, after walking much of the marathon course, and the day was 27 June 2004.

[Young, Eli and Brody are there. Rush enters.]

RUSH
What's happening?

ELI
We're surrounded by alien ships. They want us to hand over Chloe.

RUSH
I suggest shutting down all non-essential systems, devote every scrap of power to the shields.

YOUNG
Well, that's not going to work. More ships are coming.

RUSH
Well, how could you possibly know that?

YOUNG
If we power the weapons or the shields, or provoke them in any way, they will open fire and destroy all of us.

ELI
So, what do we do?

INT—CHLOE'S QUARTERS

[The door opens to reveal Chloe sitting on the bed. Young is standing at the door.]

CHLOE
I guess it's time.

[Young nods. Chloe gets up and goes with him.]

INT—CORRIDOR

[Young and Chloe are walking along the corridor.]

BRODY
(over radio)
Colonel, this is Brody. You were right. Another half-dozen ships just dropped out of hyperspace.

YOUNG
(into radio)
Are they sending over a shuttle?

BRODY
(over radio)
It's on its way.

YOUNG
(into radio)
Dial back the shield strength over the hull breach.

EXT—SPACE

[An alien shuttle approaches Destiny and lands over the hole in the hull.]

INT—CORRIDOR

[Young opens the door to the section with the hole, and Chloe walks through. She turns and looks at Young before he closes the door. A bright light shines through the hole and Chloe walks into it, looking up.]

Young showed up, started giving orders, and the ship just went.

[She pours alcohol on the bone saw.]

TJ
I need you to hold him still.

CHLOE
Oh, God. I can't watch.

GREER
You don't have to.

[She walks away.]

GREER
(to Eli)
Take his feet. Hold tight.

TJ
(to Rush)
Hold his arm?

[Rush picks up a cloth to use to shield himself from Scott's arm.]

RUSH
Have you done this before?

TJ
No.

[Rush wraps the cloth around Scott's arm and takes hold of it. Eli and Greer hold down the rest of him.]

TJ
Ready?

[TJ makes an incision across Scott's bicep. His blood streams out blue.]

VOLKER
Wait-wait! Stop, stop.

ELI
(looking away)
What?

TJ
(sighing)
Look at the color.

VOLKER
It's in his bloodstream.

RUSH
(jumping away)
No point in dismembering him.

VOLKER
Not if it's spreading internally.

GREER

SCOTT
(leaning forward, over the seat)
You guys ever wonder what's real? Because ever since I got home, I keep thinking that I'm someone else, that I'm not myself.

TELFORD
Alcohol can have that effect.

SCOTT
No, I don't really drink.

TELFORD
(laughing)
I can see that!

SCOTT
Oh, Chloe's gonna kill me!

YOUNG
She'll get over it. Go to sleep, all right?

[Scott relaxes back into his seat, but stays awake.]

TELFORD
Go ahead, close your eyes. But, I'm sorry to tell you that when you wake up, you're going to feel guilty for things you've done or said. Some of it you won't even remember. It'll just be a blur. And you're going to wonder if you're ever going to feel like the person you used to be again…
