This Is What I Think.

Today is 03/18/2026

by me, Kerry Burgess, 03/18/2026 09:25 AM

I see it now.

I mean, it's the same thing I have written here before many times before today

Today, it seems especially profound and clear in my mind.

Today is my fifth day without internet service. On my phone, I searched for news about internet outage in Spokane. Found an article from Saturday the 14th on KHQ news reporting thousands without internet in Spokane. The service website reports no outages so apparently that was resolved for them but not for me. Because my internet dropped out about 3 AM on Saturday and has not come back. I anticipate resumption of internet service to my desktop computers later today.

The point of this note.

This should be no surprise to anyone: disconnecting from the internet can be a very good thing for your mind.

The point of my comments is how it has affected me personally and how I think there is something no one else can or will understand.

On my internet connected personal computer, I have the constant feeling that everything I create is being stolen and that SOMEHOW my mind has become aware of those people out there in the real world as they read my content and activity.

Sure, the psychiatrists have names for that sort of condition of the mind. Jabberers in the Aether demonstrates what is capable with human physiology

What is interesting about all this is how the condition has remained with me during the past five days without internet. The wireless is off but it is a software switch, for one thing. So none of this really means anything.

What does mean anything is that more that 8 billion of you monkey-humans infesting this once beautiful planet Earth will never read here this observation by me.

What has become so clear to me today, you might ask

Well, I have maintained - and put a lot of rational thought into it - that A.I. is a ridiculous marketing gimmick for you gullible and naive masses.

Makes perfect sense to me that none of those more than 8 billion monkeys with their stupid iPhones are ever going to question the thoughts in their minds.

So many of them out there and each individual is a tiny piece of a massive jigsaw puzzle representing activity scheduled

As with that ridiculous "The Matrix" nonsense, I suspect something out there is creating mind-traps

The following activity was created and assembled by me before I entered here my personal comments above this line.

Then I was compelled to check for "Plur1bus" and so this note closes with a direct reference to that as it associates with today, 03/18/2026. Then it caused me to think of other stuff, which follows in this note

And now another random observation by me, examining the past for my original-work pattern, attempting to understand why the hell things are this way in the present

Dr. Gaius Baltar: I'm phoning my attorney.

Six: That won't be necessary.

Baltar: Yeah, he'll know what to do, he'll sort this out. He's the best in the business.

Six: It won't be necessary

Quotes

Cris Johnson: It's ironic, but people like you who try to help have been torturing me, in the full sense of the word, since I was three years old. What did they call it? Oh, yeah. Observed play therapy. Featuring, the marathon 36-hour, can-you-guess-the-next-flash-card game. So, please, leave me alone and let me live some semblance of a normal life.

Callie Ferris: I'd love to indulge your feelings, but I am dealing with a slightly larger picture right now. Now you can exercise your responsibility to help your fellow man or I will exercise that responsibility for you.

(from internet transcript)

(Cut to a tv screen, where a reporter, whose name is given as Kellan Brody, is talking to a man, Dr. Gaius Baltar.)

Brody: For those of you just joining us from the pyramid game on Geminon, welcome to The Spotlight, our weekly interview program devoted to people making news on Caprica.

(Gaius is looking out the window and then looking at his watch.)

Brody: Today, we're talking to Dr. Gaius Baltar, winner of three Magnet Awards over the course of his career, a media cult figure and a personal friend of President Adar's. He is currently working as a top consultant for the ministry of defense on computer issues, but he's perhaps best known for his controversial views on advancing computer technology.

Brody: Could you summarize your views for our audience?

Baltar: Yes, I'd be happy to. My position is very simple. (Off to the side, we see Number Six walk into the house and put a metal box down on a table.) The ban on research and development into artificial intelligence is, as we all know, a holdover from the Cylon Wars. Quite frankly, I find this to be an outmoded concept. It serves no useful purpose except to impede our efforts.

Viktor Frankl

Viktor Emil Frankl M.D., Ph.D. (March 27, 1905 – September 2, 1997) was an Austrian neurologist and psychiatrist as well as a Holocaust survivor. Frankl was the founder of logotherapy, which is a form of Existential Analysis, the "Third Viennese School of Psychotherapy". His best-selling book, Man's Search for Meaning (published under a different title in 1959: From Death-Camp to Existentialism, and originally published in 1946 as trotzdem Ja zum Leben sagen: Ein Psychologe erlebt das Konzentrationslager), chronicles his experiences as a concentration camp inmate and describes his psychotherapeutic method of finding meaning in all forms of existence, even the most sordid ones, and thus a reason to continue living. Frankl was one of the key figures in existential therapy.

Lately, I've been thinking again about my theory of when I first met (as a hypothesis) that mysterious, historical figure Thomas Reagan

*You* would have never known about him if not for *me* and my posts on the internet

Recently, that sense of profound forms again in my conscious mind about him in 1989, 1990

My theory being that he entered the USA in 1990 while posing as me, Kerry Burgess

He had taken over the life of the original Kerry Burgess following the events of July 1989 I theorize

The sense forms in my mind that he knew of the potential trouble if he had been caught

Surely, he had some sort of life already established for himself. I can't believe that he went around using an identity known as Thomas Reagan

SCOTT: Nothing wrong with the communicator, sir.

GUARDIAN: Your vessel, your beginning, all that you knew is gone.

KIRK: McCoy has somehow changed history.

Quotes

Bartholomew: [in a video conference with other corporate executives] In my opinion, we are confronted here with something of a situation. Otherwise, I would not have presumed to take up your time. Once again, it concerns the case of Jonathan E. We know we don't want anything extraordinary to happen to Jonathan. We've already agreed on that. No accidents, nothing unnatural. The game was created to demonstrate the futility of individual effort.

Rollerball (1975)

(internet transcript)

Librarian: The famous Jonathan E. Hard to believe! Sorry things are in a mess. The rollerball champion. Wonderful! Not many people come to see us, you know. We're not easy to talk to, Zero and I. We're a little confused again here today. This is embarrassing. It's embarrassing to misplace things.

Jonathan E: You've misplaced some data?

Librarian: Mm, the whole of the 13th century. Misplaced the computers - several conventional computers. We can't find them. We're always moving things around, getting organised, my assistants and I. But this is Zero's fault. Zero, he's the world's file cabinet. Pity. Poor old 13th century. Well, come along now. You want to get started, don't you?

Jonathan E: Yes, sir.

Librarian: This way. Now... We've lost those computers with all of the 13th century in them. Not much in the century - just Dante and a few corrupt popes. But it's so distracting and annoying. You've unlimited restrictions here, of course, but you'll have to come so, so many times. It all takes such effort.

Jonathan E: Do the executives still come here?

Librarian: Oh, they used to, some of them.

Jonathan E: What about the books?

Librarian: Books, books? They're all changed. All transcribed. All information is here. We've Zero, of course. He's the central brain, the world's brain. Fluid mechanics, fluidics. He's liquid, you see. His waters touch all knowledge. Everything we ask has become so complicated now. Each thing we ask... This morning we wanted to know about the 13th century. He flows out into all our storage systems. He considers everything. He's become so ambiguous now, as if he knows nothing at all.
