This key detail occurs during a time that would have been after Thedia's husband #2, active-duty US Marine Corps, and before Thedia's husband number #3. Thedia's husband #5 arrived when I was 14 years old and she was still married to him when I left Arkansas in 1984. Whatever it was Thedia did to ruin it with her husband #2 got us back from a brief departure of De Queen where I grew up and that same lousy, infested trailer-house. He had been a fairly decent guy. He was certainly a better father than her first husband, listed as my father on my birth-certificate. One time, after the turmoil started with her husband #2 and they got back together again, I commented to them that she should just marry Evel Knievel. The year 1976 is probably when she married husband #3 and I remember them fairly well, his family. His last name was adopted from his step-father's last name. His mother was some sort of nurse at the local hospital. He was early-20s, younger than Thedia, and some sort of menial worker, janitor or bed-pan scrubber or something, where his mother worked and they probably were not doing so well financially and we lived for a while at his parent's house. Also, I recently discovered evidence his step-father was a Hospital Corpsman Petty Officer First Class with the US Navy during World War II. All I remember about him is yelling at me to stay out of the neighbors yard and of that day I walked outside their house to discover him performing CPR on Thedia's husband #2. The dim-wit had electrocuted himself with a power drill installing a boat-trailer hitch on Thedia's car, preparing for some sort of family reunion at the lake. I enjoyed swimming by myself in the murky waters of Lake Greeson.
