Viewed again episode 8 of season 1 of Plur1bus
This is the episode before the season 1 final episode, now listed on IMDb for debut on Wednesday 12/24/2025, so that means it will probably be available during the evening of Tuesday here on the west-coast USA.
First time I viewed episode 8, found humorous the element of Wycaro. Just as humorous second time through. I have drawn here before apt references to Stargate SG-1.
I am wondering if we finally understand Manousos
Noticeably absent to me is explanation for his intense hostility towards The Joined and their ranks of more than 7 billion former-individuals, of which he is one of only 13 humans known to be immune
Carol Sturka is also one of the known immune and she is hostile, also, presumably those are the only two of the 13 immune that are antagonists to the now global peace initiative achieved.
Presumably, she is hostile because she lost someone she cares about when the event occurs. After a few days, tries to enjoy her newfound freedom. Presumably her rejection of freedom is due to love and loss. 60 days have elapsed by the ending of episode 8
Sixty days from the point Carol Sturka sees the large scale effect of what seems to be conspiracy among the affected. They forced their Joining on all unaffected.
My understanding is the process was gradual and then escalated by those initially affected.
So whether Day 0 is their Victory Day over the individual human's or is just the day Carol and the surrounding population were unexposed is not really clear to me.
It seems to be about a 30 day period from the very first infection until Day 0 and we are introduced to Carol Sturka.
I would have to go back and verify that Day 0 detail. Might have it wrong, in that Carol Sturka is Day 30. Doesn't matter. My point:
It is obvious to her the condition is wide-spread in the nation.
Many could have been pretending so that the unaffected did not know who was or who was not
This all seems a lot more profound to me in this present day than the 2007 "The Invasion" did back then, even as I was seeing coordinated - it seemed - behavior among strangers as I walked along the city sidewalk in downtown Seattle for a cup of coffee.
I look at this all from a standpoint of the very real.

The photos of the F-14 Tomcat serve as a good illustration for the opposite of that notion. The Tomcat is about the past. It's possible that I could see one of those again in a museum or I could probably even fly one again if I wanted. But that part of my life, those days of the F-14 Tomcat, are gone. Phoebe, though, is going to be a part of my life everyday forever and I want to see her today.
