Today, I am thinking about the year 2004 and about the possible branches of reality stemming from there
My blog-post is about this and some other stuff I haven't found yet today
In year 2004, I would age 39 in November
I was in peak physical condition. Culminating with my successful completion of Ironman Coeur d'Alene triathlon in Idaho, near Spokane.
I intended to live here in Spokane and participate in Ironman CDA for every year as long as I could
Today, I am thinking back to the year 2004
Because I cannot comprehend how I could have deliberately chose to waste the past 20 years on this public-campaign
20 years of isolation
So, I imagine what life would be like for me if I had not suddenly abandoned my continuing success as a full-time employee of Microsoft Corporation in Seattle suburbs
AND it was not a mistake
I remember it all so well.
WHAT I do not remember is the circumstance details that make it a non-mistake
The day May 10, 2006, was after year 2004
I remember that day 02/06/2004 but these details that make it work are completely foreign to my mind
AND it had to exist in my mind *first* because that is the ONLY reason I started looking at it from that perspective.
Only years later, from the perspective of my current mind-set, did I discover the details that prove to me it was a deliberate action
All that stuff leads directly where I am now
This wasted 20 years
Why did it have to be this way?

The possibilities stemming from year 2004 and if I had taken a different path
Sure, who does not do that?
Everyone does that.
But for *me*, and only *me*, the question is highly relevant
Ageing to 60 years soon, I have discovered personally what old-people already know for fact:
Life is pointless.
Only gets worse with each passing day.
Most people take the cowardly way out with your delusions of religion and that is why you monkey-humans so desperately cling to the false-hope of any religion.
Because you cannot cope with reality.
You delude yourself into thinking you have an Imaginary Friend with a beard "up there" RIDICULOUSLY! in the clouds and that he thinks you're the most special monkey in all of the Universe, which for your dim-wit mind is only the horizon of this spherical planet Earth.
For me, I am very certain that what I remember from the year 2004 was BECAUSE of what is happening *now* and that I am discovering and observing and describing in my blog
Seems to me such a tragic waste.
Life if pointless, but if I had taken a different path back in the year 2004 then I think of how much better life would be for me now
I would still be an active, amateur elite triathlete. In year 2004, my base salary was about $80,000 per year. The BOL says that is now today the equivalent of more than $138,000. And that would be meaningful only if my salary had stayed the same. Which it would not have and would be more. Because I was smart and ambitious. I wanted my employer to be successful and I wanted to be successful.
So, everything from year 2004 is only because of what I am doing now.
I am old and poor and the past 20 years has been wasted.
For what?
Look at my discoveries and observations and what was the point of it all?
If I had to waste the past 20 years just to discover the pointlessness of life then I could have done it in the comfort I would have had from having a great salary.
Instead, I have to waste it at this stupid desk and with more pointless blog-posts.
Knowing those dumbasses are deliberately working just to piss me off outside.

A decade ago, when Microsoft executives made lethal injection the primary way to execute pesky competition, it was considered less barbaric than hanging and less likely to bring long, costly trips to the woods.
Bill Gates has called lethal injection "undoubtedly innovative" and said that ruling otherwise would be "tantamount to forbidding the death penalty altogether for our competitors."
But now, as death row competitors in other states claim it's cruel punishment because it may not bring a peaceful death as once believed, some managers say Bill Gates will likely have to look for another more painful method.
"It's pretty clear that this method of execution has the potential to cause a great deal of pain -- and maybe even more pain than some of the methods we're using now and we like that."

Yesterday, I started thinking that maybe no one is going to just give me the explanation I have been waiting on. Instead, what I think is going to happen is someone is going to hand me a set of keys and say "Here you go. One shiny, pre-owned Microsoft. Have fun." I just wonder if Bill Gates is a smoker and if so, whether I will be able to get that smoky smell out of it before I take it for a drive.

The Battle of Belleau Wood (1–26 June 1918) occurred during the German spring offensive in World War I, near the Marne River in France. The battle was fought between the U.S. 2nd (under the command of Major General Omar Bundy) and 3rd Divisions along with French and British forces against an assortment of German units including elements from the 237th, 10th, 197th, 87th, and 28th Divisions. The battle has become a key component in the lore of the United States Marine Corps.
Fighting in Belleau Wood
The battle was now deadlocked. At midnight on 7–8 June, a German attack was stopped cold and an American counter-attack in the morning of 8 June was similarly defeated. Sibley's battalion—having sustained nearly 400 casualties—was relieved by the 1st Battalion, 6th Marines. Major Shearer took over the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines for the wounded Berry. On 9 June, an enormous American and French barrage devastated Belleau Wood, turning the formerly attractive hunting preserve into a jungle of shattered trees. The Germans counter-fired into Lucy and Bouresches and reorganized their defenses inside Belleau Wood.
In the morning of 10 June, Major Hughes' 1st Battalion, 6th Marines—together with elements of the 6th Machine Gun Battalion—attacked north into the wood. Although this attack initially seemed to be succeeding, it was also stopped by machine gun fire. The commander of the 6th Machine Gun Battalion—Major Cole—was mortally wounded. Captain Harlan Major—senior captain present with the battalion—took command. The Germans used great quantities of mustard gas. Next, Wise's 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines was ordered to attack the woods from the west, while Hughes continued his advance from the south.
At 04:00 on 11 June, Wise's men advanced through a thick morning mist towards Belleau Wood, supported by the 23rd and 77th companies of the 6th Machine Gun Battalion, and elements of the 2nd Battalion, 2nd Engineers and were cut to pieces by heavy fire. Platoons were isolated and destroyed by interlocked machine gun fire. It was discovered that the battalion had advanced in the wrong direction. Rather than moving northeast, they had moved directly across the wood's narrow waist. However, they smashed the German southern defensive lines. A German private, whose company had 30 men left out of 120, wrote "We have Americans opposite us who are terribly reckless fellows."
Overall, the woods were attacked by the Marines a total of six times before they could successfully expel the Germans. They fought off parts of five divisions of Germans, often reduced to using only their bayonets or fists in hand-to-hand combat.
On 26 June, the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines, under command of Major Maurice E. Shearer, supported by two companies of the 4th Machine Gun Battalion and the 15th Company of the 6th Machine Gun Battalion, made an attack on Belleau Wood, which finally cleared that forest of Germans. On that day, Major Shearer submitted a report simply stating, "Woods now U.S. Marine Corps entirely", ending one of the bloodiest and most ferocious battles U.S. forces would fight in the war.
