As I watch this now on television, there are two details that remind me of thoughts I had several weeks ago as I was one day trying to fall asleep. The two details are specifically about a portal that appeared in my room which is one detail and the other detail was that there was some kind of voice alert from the portal informing me that the portal would disappear after a few seconds. I wonder now as I write this whether that line of thought happened more than once over a span of more than one day but I am not certain and it might have been just that one time as I was trying to fall asleep. The notion of the portal comes to mind a lot but this particular time seems the most relevant to this scene from the 1988 film "They Live" and that seems important in itself. The reason I wonder if it happened on more than that one time is because I remember a variation occurring as I pondered over it. So anyway, the last time I remember thinking about it was with that variation and the variation was simply that I had maybe 2 seconds to jump up out of bed and I only had to touch the portal instead of the original line of thought of where I had to have my body physically within the boundaries of the portal.

the medic tells "Colonel Young" that he would need an MRI and a qualified doctor to read it in the dialog about his head wound and the paralysis in his legs and that reminds me of the doctor at the VA talking to me about the results from the catscan when I was inpatient at the VA. I later mentioned what I thought was something wrong with the top of my skull to the psychiatrist or psychologist or whatever he was and he seemed to look it over but he never gave me any useful information about it.

Weeks ago, my line of thought shifted to the line of thought that I would only need to reach out and touch the portal in the last seconds before it disappeared because I began thinking that if I jumped up and stepped into the range or whatever of the portal at the last second and I was only partially within range of the portal then part of my body would be cut off. So I started thinking that I would only need to touch the portal before the final second elapsed. The ending of this episode reminds me a lot of that train of thought.

This next clue was something I puzzled over a few years ago. I remember it because I puzzled over why I was puzzling over it. The article was dated 5/10/2004 and it indicates that her comments were made "last night" which meant the comments were made on 5/9/2004. Other articles indicate her comments were made on the previous Saturday night. Either way, it is certainly close to 5/9 and I had a profound sense of puzzlement about it. These comments were made not longer after I had moved out to Spokane after giving up that Microsoft was an honest company. What it means is there were people out there that remembered me and were concerned about my well-being because I guess it looked like I was being betrayed by the people accountable for my well-being. A week later was when I sent that email about “mark this day” or whatever it was I wrote. I assume I scared them because they were worried I was going to reveal that George W. Bush had been recruited by foreign powers long ago.

Rush manages to activate the ship's navigational log. It reveals that the ship left Earth and passed beyond the Pegasus galaxy millennia ago. They are now several billion light years from Earth.
The Past
Young and Greer try to open the corridor and rescue Senator Armstrong and the others. Young orders Scott to get as many supplies as possible because they're not evacuating to Earth. Chloe refuses to leave her father.
In the Gate chamber, Scott goes through first and orders everyone to proceed every three seconds afterward. The evacuation begins as the base starts to collapse.
Young and Greer plant explosive charges and move back with Chloe. Once they blast through, they find an injured Armstrong and bring him out with the others. Young sends everyone on ahead and tries to make contact with Carter aboard the Hammond. He then heads for the Gate Chamber and grabs what supplies he can. He enters the Gate last as the planet explodes behind him, the shock wave destroying the enemy ships.
On Earth, Carter contacts General O'Neill and tells him what happened. She reports the 80 people in the bunker are MIA and O'Neill confirms that none of them beamed back to Earth. They're left to wonder where the remaining personnel went.

Scott continues to hallucinate that he's in a cathedral with the priest. He tells the hallucination that his girlfriend isn't going to have their baby, and that he can't continue training as a priest. The priest dissolves into sand as the hallucination fades away, and Scott finds himself back in the desert confronting the sand column. It hovers next to him and creates a pile of sand and then fades away. Water sprouts from the sand pile and Scott realizes that he's found the lake bed. He takes a sample and confirms it has the lime they need. He's unable to raise Greer on the radio so loads his backpack with lime.

Rush addresses his class about the code that he's trying to work, and encourages them to help. They have nothing to say and he starts ranting, insisting that they're all him and they should be able to help. When they have no idea what he's talking about, Rush orders them all out. Daniel appears in the room and says that it's not their fault, and Rush admits it's his fault that he can't solve it. Daniel asks him again if he wants to work with the ninth chevron, and Rush tells him that he left his wife to die while he ends up in deep space. Worse, he's angry that Eli managed to solve it despite his lack of ambition.

Rush presents an Ancient cipher to his class, looking for a pattern. However, they can see nothing, having never seen the symbols before. Rush angrily claims that they should recognize them, being a facet of his subconscious, but they remain dumbfounded. Rush angrily orders them to get out of class. When they leave, Jackson comes in, telling him not to blame them. Rush expresses envy of Eli's genius, noting that despite having no ambitious education, and always playing computer games, Eli solved a problem he never could, and would be better suited to solving this problem, too.

In his dream world, Rush is lying down in his office, flashing back to the more fond memories between he and Gloria. He is interrupted by Jackson, who apparently let himself into the house when Rush failed to answer the door. Jackson notes that his nose is bleeding again. He has come to explain that Stargate Command has found a suitable planet thanks to a source from within the Lucian Alliance. Rush diverts Jackson's attention to the whiteboard, asking if he understands anything on it; he doesn't, and neither does Rush. Since all this information he gathered yields no answers, he decides to leave through the door to exit the experiment. Before he can, Jackson tells him he should be with his wife again, since she is in her final hours. This gives Rush a thought; he asks for today's date. It's April 6th; however, Gloria did not die on that date. After writing the date on the whiteboard, then replaces "April" with "4", showing the number 46.

Aboard Destiny, Young makes contact with the team via radio. Scott briefs him and Young sends a team to get them out. However, they have less than two hours before the ship jumps to FTL. As Scott blames himself for agreeing to enter the tunnels, Eli and Chloe explore briefly but find no exit and can't locate the kino. James arrives with the rescue team and she tells Scott that it doesn't look good.
Rush wakes up from a dream of Gloria and finds Daniel there. Daniel points out that his nose is bleeding again, and then informs him that they have the location of a planet suitable for the Icarus Project. Rush asks him if he understands any of his code work and Daniel admits that he doesn't. The scientist explains that all of the code is data stored in the ship's memory banks. He now believes that staying won't make it any clearer. As he goes to the door to leave, Daniel asks him how Gloria is doing. Rush admits that Gloria is dying today, and Daniel asks why he isn't with her. When Rush wonders why he keeps asking that, he realizes that the day is April 6. The telephone rings with the doctor informing him that Gloria is dying, but he hangs up and goes back to his work. Gloria didn't die on April 6, and Rush realizes that the address of his house has changed to 46.
