Because of visions in my sleeping-mind early this morning, the content of this note begins
Every time, in those opening scenes, when Connor MacLeod goes from the stadium to encounter the guy in the parking-garage, I think to myself that his opponent always reminds me in appearance of the CO from Taylor, from 1984 until I left in February 1986 for basic electronics school in Orlando, Florida, as the first course of three in the curriculum for my Advanced Electronics Field occupation, leading over a year later to specialist in Missile Plot, the guided-missiles fire-control computers complex, where I specialized in Univac digital-computers and peripherals as technician and operator.
Additional content formed for this note as I decided to chose *today* - this calendar-day 11/05/2023 - to watch for the first time ever for me the episode 7 of the first season of "See". Even as I write this sentence, I have absolutely no sense for the specific content of that episode I will watch later today. Content that was most certainly established more than 4 years ago before today

I have in the past made a few forgettable references to the 1960 "Inherit the Wind" but I have never before watched it
Thinking about it tonight because it's in the tv-listings for the PBS station in nearby Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
Then I discovered it on Pluto TV On Demand
So I think I will watch it later tonight
Seems sort of funny they cast the actor Dick York
His face resembles a monkey so much that it's spooky.

I was about 12 years old
I went camping with Randy Cole and his dad sometimes
One time, on the river, in a canoe, at night, his dad and I were out checking the fishing-lines spanning the river
He was drunk, and I saw him do it deliberately, he overturned us into the river
He told me later I smelled bad
Next day he wanted me to go to the place in the river to dive below and find the lantern, other gear that ended on the river bottom
but I was frightened of dark places in the river, from alligators, snakes, etc, anything lurking there

A few minutes ago I started thinking that maybe I started at Princeton University in 1972. I would have been 13 at the time as Thomas Ray. I remember that Kerry Burgess started first grade in 1972. But then I decided that I probably started Princeton earlier than 1972 and maybe 1972 was the year I completed my first major degree. Or 1972 doesn’t really mean anything in particular to Thomas Ray; rather it is there for continuity sake for the life of Kerry Burgess.

Also, "Salesman." I saw that in a dream while sleeping recently. I saw myself going through an induction process in the United States Marine Corps and I woke up understanding that I was dreaming of my actual experience in 1990. I saw a document that indicated I was being inducted to the United States Marine Corps with the officer grade of Chief Warrant Officer 2. I saw in the dream another document associated with my induction and that document indicated I had been assigned the informal name "Salesman."
