Accepted the impulse in my conscious mind tonight to watch again the 1994 "Body Snatchers"
Have not checked if there is any sort of special relevance about it and today in my original-work code-pattern
Has been many years since I last watched it
Several details became obvious to me only tonight, pausing the video at the first bar scene to make this note
First, the kid makes me think he resembles that kid in "From"
Secondly, Marti has suddenly reminded me of Bobbilynn from the early 1990s, so the timeframe is right. She worked for the bank that my employer had a technical maintenance contract with in South Carolina. She stocked the ATMs with cash and called me out to repair the computer and electromechanical hardware when it failed.
I wrote about her before. I clearly remember our first date outside work was that I drove her in my red 1990 Mazda RX-7 to the movie theatre - around December 1990 - and we saw "Kindergarten Cop". So that seems relevant to this 1994 movie, when Marti meets Tim
Marti doesn't really resemble her that I can recall. I never met her parents. Not sure what happened to them. She lived with her grandparents and I remember meeting them. She didn't have siblings. She went to high school in Central before I met her at the bank. I lived in Central, next to Clemson, before I got that mortgage on that house I loved in Greer, South Carolina, in 1992.
The other detail is about that scary soldier that shows up in the bar. What's that guy's name on KREM 2 tv-news? Cannot recall now off-hand. But I was struck by thinking they closely resemble each other, so that's weird.
He has not been working very long at channel 2 KREM as a tv-news field reporter. Maybe a couple years now or so. Certainly was not working there when I last made references to watching this video.
I paused the video just now at the appearance of the scary soldier, to make this note. I am resuming the video after posting this note.
I have speculated before that the memory existing physically in my human brain - at this time - represent actual experiences of Thomas Reagan in the 1990s when he was pretending to be Kerry Burgess.
There was a real, serious, scientific reason for him doing that

I can’t find a lot about the Burroughs terminal and ATM’s There is plenty of the B-series computers, but not a lot on what I remember working on.
The ATM was the RT-750 model. It featured the same Logic Control Unit for data processing and communication as the bank tellers used in the bank offices. As part of the RT-750, the LCU was referred to as the “BMT.” Bobbilynn Michelle Townsend, an employee of the bank was impressed that I knew that acronym stood for “Burroughs Modular Terminal.” She asked me about it one day at the bank because she noticed it was the same as her initials.

As the last marines go through, Young hurries into the room and clears a couple of boxes from on top of a large crate. He picks up a backpack and quickly empties its contents out onto the floor, then reaches into the crate and takes a case out of it. On the walkway, Greer is helping an injured colleague to the Gate. He turns and look at Young.)
GREER: Sir!
YOUNG: Go!
(Stuffing the case into the bag and zipping it closed, he hauls it up and over his shoulder, then races up onto the walkway. As he runs for the Gate, the base begins to explode behind him. The shockwave reaches him while he's still running and it lifts him off his feet and pushes him at high speed into the event horizon.)
