Popular in science-fiction is the concept of multiple-universes
Popular because those so-called fans of science fiction are typically people with pointless, pathetic, meaningless lives that just want to escape without having to put any effort into anything.

From popular science-fiction, one might conjure up the notion that - at this very moment - there are (possibly) infinite versions of each of us running about doing slightly different to vastly different stuff in multiple-universes
Maybe that is true.
Maybe it is just big multiple-crock of bullshit
If I had to choose in what to believe (belief = lack of knowledge, which means 'ignorance') then I would believe none of that exists.
Until a human mind thinks it up
If any point in the space of reality has (possibly) infinite variations then I would believe it does not work that way.
Somehow, it becomes extant only because the human-mind creates those variations
I think about this because of my work, described in this blog.

SARAJEVO, Bosnia-Herzegovina — The Bosnian Serbs and the Muslim-led Bosnian government have agreed to begin a cease-fire on Friday as a small first step toward ending the 32-month civil war, former President Jimmy Carter announced Tuesday.
"There will be a complete cease-fire in all of Bosnia-Herzegovina, including Bihac, to go into effect at noon on Dec. 23," Carter said. "This cease-fire is to be completely monitored, without interference, by UNPROFOR (U.N. Protection Force) troops, interposing themselves between the opposing military units wherever necessary."
