Zombies

As I watch again now the 1996 film "Star Trek: The First Contact" on DVD this scene reminds me of thoughts I was having recently. What this makes me think of is a time when I worked at Microsoft, during a time probably in the year 2001, or maybe the year 2000, but definitely during the summer. I was on a business trip on behalf of Microsoft because I had been invited to Las Vegas for that business trip.

A few days days, or maybe two days ago, I was thinking about how I had left a gathering of IBM consulting group employees from something we had been doing in one of the casinos there in downtown Las Vegas. I was there at the invitation of IBM global consulting services because, that was it, their group meeting was there, and they invited me to join them, and as a Microsoft employee, I was the account manager for a technical services contract that IBM global services had for software development technical support with Microsoft. I was manager of that contract and they invited me down there to their group meeting so I could meet the people I normally communicated with on the phone or on email.

So anyway, I left that casino with those IBM employees and we went outside and I remember how oppressive the heat was and that the heat was up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit and we walked outside the casino and there was the crowd that was packed in shoulder to shoulder outside and I was looking for a way to go around them but one of the IBM employees wanted to walk into the crowd. I did not want to walk into that crowd, which was packed in like sardines, but at her insistence I decided to be diplomatic and follow them into the crowd. We got in the crowd a ways by shouldering our way in and then we stopped. I had already had a few beers so I guess I did not raise any questions about why the people I was following had stopped. But being the leader I was, I took charge and I told them to follow me and then I started shouldering my way in the lead as I made my way out of that sardine can they led me into. One guy said to me as I was saying "Excuse me" and "Coming through" that there was no one out but I responded about how I had made it that far already.

And so I did make it through the crowd and to the other side. What I was wondering about again the other day is about how all those people at the other side were not moving. They were all just standing there at the edge of that big crowd of people and the edges of the crowd was not dissipating as I imagined would be happening. I just could not understand why all those people on the edge of the crowd were just standing there. Those people on the edge of the massive crowd were causing people that could not see them to think that since the crowd was not moving then there must be some reason the the crowd to form, not unlike a traffic jam.

I was thinking about that again just very recently watching again now this DVD reminds me of those thoughts and more. What I was thinking very recently about that time being in that crowd, as I have thought before, is that some kind of evil was allowed access to this physical world as a result of my presence in that world. I had that line of thought last time when I watched on the internet, Imdb.com I think, one of the "The Outer Limits" episodes from that last series that was on television and there was that episode about a plague that had formed on the planet Earth and there was a group among the last survivors who were traveling back into time to find the three people who had come together at some point and where those three people had made contact with each other, in some kind of simple contact such as walking through a crowd, it was the contact that produced a plague that killed out most of humanity. One of the actors who portrayed the soldier going back in time and trying to kill those first three people is the actor I would later see one of the survivors in that AMC television series "The Living Dead" and I forget his name but he is the one who had to cut off his hand with a hacksaw to escape after being handcuffed and left on the roof by the deputy sheriff who is the starring character.

As I was thinking recently, that evil entity wants from me simply my acknowledge of its existence. We are at odds, that person and I, on a spiritual level and I will have no conservations with that entity other than to acknowledge his or her existence in this world. I am immune now to that evil it can inflict on humanity. A few days ago, I was having a line of thought about that person, who is male or female, I don't know, and it was that person, in the form of a person, who initiates the transition of humans to zombies. As that entity told me, zombies can regenerate body parts that humans damage. A zombie can be shot in the head and it doesn't matter. The injuries by a zombie to a human do not heal after the human becomes a zombie but the injuries a human inflicts to a zombie will heal on that zombie so if a human cuts off the arm of a zombie then that zombie will regenerate a new arm.

How much did this thing cost?

The economics of the future
are somewhat different.

Money doesn't exist
in the 24th century.

:48:14
No money?
You mean you don't get paid?

The acquisition of wealth is no
longer the driving force in our lives.

We work to better ourselves...

and the rest of humanity.

Actually, we're rather like
yourself and Dr Cochrane.

All right!

- Come on.
- Is there another way around?

I know what I'm doing.
