Daniels
Daniels is an operative in the cross-history conflict called the Temporal Cold War. Daniels is from the 31st century, c. 3064 AD. He is first seen in "Cold Front" as a member of Archer's crew. Soon after, he was apparently killed during a Suliban incursion aboard Enterprise. His quarters, which contained several time travel-related devices, was locked down and banned to all crew members, except in cases of emergency involving the Temporal Cold War.
Daniels explained little of the nature of his organization, preferring to keep the group's nature, organization and abilities mostly unknown, in order to keep Captain Archer from learning too much about the future. His method of transporting others through time was unusually subtle, lacking any obvious visual effects or disorientation. Typically, Archer would walk through a door on the Enterprise and suddenly find himself in an unfamiliar location and time period; Daniels would then appear to talk to him. Daniels pulled off a similar feat on a much larger scale in the episode "Storm Front": When the Enterprise returned to Earth after the battle with the Xindi, the crew discovered that they had arrived during World War II.
How Daniels survived being vaporized in "Cold Front" was never explained. However, Daniels continued to make occasional appearances in the series. In the first season finale, "Shockwave", Daniels transported Archer to an altered version of the 31st century in which the United Federation of Planets had never existed. Daniels, apparently the only other person besides Archer left on Earth who knew about the main timeline, helped the captain restore the original timeline. In the third season episode "Carpenter Street", he sent Archer and T'Pol back to the year 2004 to investigate why some Xindi Reptilians were on Earth in that time period.

Shockwave (episode)
First aired: 22 May 2002
After apparently causing the destruction of an alien colony, the Enterprise is called back to Earth. Archer learns via Daniels that the Suliban are trying to sabotage Enterprise's mission. (Season Finale)
With the information (and a tip from Daniels saying where to find the ship), they plan an operation to steal data discs containing ship logs that will prove the Enterprise innocent.
With the information from Daniels, the assault team has a clear advantage over the Sulibans and they are able to steal the data discs very easily.
Back on Enterprise, things looks much brighter, as they are able to prove that the explosion wasn't their fault, effectively exonerating Enterprise. T'Pol is, however, still skeptical about the time travel explanation for all this as Vulcan scientists have proved it is impossible.

Couch gag The living room is in an ocean. Homer is on water skis, with the others on him, as he ski-jumps over sharks; everybody lands on the couch, but Homer's legs are in the mouth of the shark
"'Scuse Me While I Miss the Sky" is the sixteenth episode of the fourteenth season of The Simpsons that aired March 30, 2003.
The episode begins with Bart being introduced to Declan Desmond (voiced by Eric Idle), a no-nonsense British filmmaker, whose documentaries are hard-hitting and, sometimes, a bit distorted. He shows Bart’s fellow students a clip from one of his documentaries about Krusty Burger, Do You Want Lies With That?, which parodies Super Size Me.[citation needed] After the clips are finished, Declan informs the kids that he is now shooting a documentary in Springfield Elementary and wants them all to act as they normally do.
To this end, Lisa eventually decides to take up astronomy. She convinces Homer to buy her a telescope, but discovers that light pollution from the city is blocking her view of Venus and Jupiter. After a discussion with Professor Frink, Lisa starts a petition to reduce the city’s light pollution. After gaining enough signatures, Mayor Quimby agrees to turn off the streetlights, leading to a clear view of the stars at which many people from Springfield marvel.
Meanwhile Bart is looking for a way to regain his popularity after being humiliated and after seeing Nelson parading around with stolen car hood ornaments decides to go one better and steal Fat Tony’s hood ornament. On their first attempt Milhouse and Bart are foiled because Quimby has bowed to public pressure to switch the lights back on permanently because of the rising crime.
Lisa (still wanting to see the light pollution reduced) and Bart (still wanting to steal Fat Tony’s Hood ornament) take a now sleep-deprived Homer (due to the constant bright street lights) to the Power plant and overload the generators causing a power outage. They are then confronted by the townfolk about the power outage until Lisa points out a meteor shower that she knew would happen and wanted to see but could not because of the previous light pollution. The town look on in wonderment while Bart sneaks off and successfully steals Fat Tony’s hood ornament.

Back To The Future
So how far ahead are you going?
About 30 years. It's a nice round number.
Look me up when you get there, all right?
Guess I'll be about 47.
I will.
Take care.
You, too.
Right. Bye-bye, Einie.
And watch that re-entry. It's a little bumpy.
You bet.
What a nightmare.

This was a pleasant surprise. I was disappointed though when I first saw them that they were preparing to leave. I think this is the one at the link below. I love these ships. Who needs a parade when you can watch a U.S. Navy warship getting underway? If I could choose any ship I wanted for a personal yacht, it would be a Burke-class destroyer.

My memory, which I am growing increasingly certain is false beyond a certain date, reminds me of something my step-brother said to me back in 1985. I had bought a used pickup while home on leave and was driving it back to Charleston to return to my ship. He told me that while I was driving for so long, I would be making anagrams from the word on the hood ornament. The Ford pickup was, I believe, a 1978 model and the hood ornament had the word Explorer on it.

Looking at an image of the USS Cole, it's hard to believe I could have been in command of that ship. What a beautiful construction. I find myself admiring the Flight IIA, but it seems as though the Flight I's had some advantage over those later versions, but I can't remember what it was. I guess the Cole will be my last ship command. Unless we start building spaceship-carriers, maybe.

This would have been the red 1967 Ford pickup I "remember" having as my first vehicle. I probably selected it because of a symbolic connection with F-100.

Fifth generation (1967–1972)
Another refresh came in 1967 along with a familiar name: the upscale Ranger trim line in addition to the base and Custom Cab trim levels. In 1968, the trucks received larger versions of Ford's FE engine family with the introduction of the 360 and 390 cubic inch engines. The 302 became an option in late '69. The top trim for 1970 was now named Ranger XLT with Ranger, Sport Custom and Custom rounding off the rest of the line. The fifth generation bodies were noted for durability and simplicity of design making them a favorite for restoration.
Some trucks came with an outer flush mounted bed side compartment/tool box on the passenger side only. It could not have one on the driver's side due to the fuel tank taking up the space behind the bed side panel.
The Explorer Special (a trim package), Camper Special (built heavier for a slide in camper), Contractor's Special, Farm and Ranch Special, and Heavy-Duty Special were offered.
The fifth-generation F-series was introduced in Brazil in 1971, which remained in production until 1991 with a slight redesign and changes in its motorizations.
The models are:
F-100: 1/2 ton (5,600 GVWR max)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pratt_%26_Whitney_F100
The F100 is an afterburning turbofan engine manufactured by Pratt & Whitney which powers the F-15 Eagle and F-16 Fighting Falcon.
Variants
F100-PW-100
Pratt & Whitney was awarded a development contract in 1970 for the engine of the next generation fighter, what became the F-15 Eagle. The F100-PW-100 first flew in an F-15 in 1972 with a thrust of 23,930 lbf. Due to the advanced nature of engine and aircraft numerous problems were encountered in its early days of service including high wear, stalling and "hard" afterburner starts. These "hard" starts could be caused by failure of the afterburner to start or by extinguishing after start, in either case the large jets of jet fuel were lit by the engine exhaust resulting in high pressure waves causing the engine to stall. While early problems have been solved, the engine still has a reputation of being "temperamental" and is still in the USAF fleet to this day.
It is recognized that the F100 was at the cutting edge of current technology, one study [1] by the RAND Corporation places it almost 4 years "ahead of its time."
F100-PW-200
The F-16 Fighting Falcon entered service with the F100-PW-200, with only slight differences from the PW-100. Seeking a way to drive unit costs down the USAF implemented the Alternative Fighter Engine (AFE) program in 1984, under which the engine contract would be awarded through competition. The F-16C/D Block 30/32s were the first to be built with the common engine bay, able to accept the existing engine or the General Electric F110.
JOURNAL ARCHIVE: 05/29/07 6:45 PM
The red 1967 Ford was a short-bed model, which is probably because it represents a single-seat F-16 Fighting Falcon. The second vehicle I had was a blue with white cab 1967 Chevrolet pickup with a long-bed so that probably represents the F-14 Tomcat, which is a two-seater.
