Ophiocordyceps unilateralis

From Wikipedia

Ophiocordyceps unilateralis, commonly known as zombie-ant fungus, is an insect-pathogenic fungus, discovered by the British naturalist Alfred Russel Wallace in 1859, and currently found predominantly in tropical forest ecosystems. O. unilateralis infects ants of the tribe Camponotini, with the full pathogenesis being characterized by alteration of the behavioral patterns of the infected ant.

Charles William Eliot

From Wikipedia

Charles William Eliot (March 20, 1834 – August 22, 1926) was an American academic who was president of Harvard University from 1869 to 1909, the longest term of any Harvard president. A member of the prominent Eliot family of Boston, he transformed Harvard from a respected provincial college into America's preeminent research university.

Alfred Russel Wallace

From Wikipedia

Alfred Russel Wallace OM FRS (8 January 1823 – 7 November 1913) was an English naturalist, explorer, geographer, anthropologist, biologist and illustrator. He independently conceived the theory of evolution through natural selection; his 1858 paper on the subject was published that year alongside extracts from Charles Darwin's earlier writings on the topic. It spurred Darwin to set aside the "big species book" he was drafting and quickly write an abstract of it, which was published in 1859 as On the Origin of Species.

Wallace did extensive fieldwork, starting in the Amazon River basin. He then did fieldwork in the Malay Archipelago, where he identified the faunal divide now termed the Wallace Line, which separates the Indonesian archipelago into two distinct parts: a western portion in which the animals are largely of Asian origin, and an eastern portion where the fauna reflect Australasia. He was considered the 19th century's leading expert on the geographical distribution of animal species, and is sometimes called the "father of biogeography", or more specifically of zoogeography.

Wallace was one of the leading evolutionary thinkers of the 19th century, working on warning coloration in animals and reinforcement (sometimes known as the Wallace effect), a way that natural selection could contribute to speciation by encouraging the development of barriers against hybridisation. Wallace's 1904 book Man's Place in the Universe was the first serious attempt by a biologist to evaluate the likelihood of life on other planets. He was one of the first scientists to write a serious exploration of whether there was life on Mars.

Aside from scientific work, he was a social activist, critical of what he considered to be an unjust social and economic system in 19th-century Britain. His advocacy of spiritualism and his belief in a non-material origin for the higher mental faculties of humans strained his relationship with other scientists. He was one of the first prominent scientists to raise concerns over the environmental impact of human activity.

Recently, I wanted to reference a compelling comment about a certain person and my theory about Harvard University medical

Unlike most occurrences, I couldn't find again the reference I made in recent months

Can't now recall specific words I used

What I've been thinking lately is that perhaps this time period now could be called Epoch 5.1

Only recently did I bafflingly start to consider that calendar-day 6/8/1993

And by looking at it, I found details that seem compelling to me

Has nothing to do with me personally, KD6-3.7, but I've find myself deeply vested in the narrative and my theory it's the only way for me to be released

So, I'm wondering if something about Harvard will also just magically appear in my conscious mind

Since year 2013 CE, the start of what I'm calling Epoch 5, I don't think any of those fantastic details appeared in my conscious mind

Everything else was Epoch 4, a period of time that roughly translate to about 1998 to 2013

So let's see: Bodies, Rest & Motion from 1993?

I wonder if Harvard has an equivalent of The Daily Princetonian

CERTAINLY, the answer would be in there, *if* I knew to look for it

9:30 PM June 6, 2022

As it stands now, I don't even have a clue on the specific *year* to look for

9:32 PM June 6, 2022

Wikipedia just informed me on the Princetonian page of The Harvard Crimson

I've referenced that before here in Epoch 5 but forgot about it

9:34 PM June 6, 2022

For some reason, I want to look at the year 1989

Haven't started any real search yet, though

Just letting the thoughts - or non-thoughts - percolate in my brain right now

9:35 PM June 6, 2022

WHEN I do begin a serious search, then will probably be the first time in my Epoch 4 notes that I mentioned anything about her and Harvard

What all this means is nothing. Just another day here at this same stupid desk.

9:43 PM June 6, 2022

I'll start here and work slowly towards finding anything that seems compelling to me

commencement number 338, 06/08/1989

I'll plug in that specific-calendar day to other observations I've made and see if anything sticks on the wall

Ellen Tigh: John.

The Last of Us Episode 7 Turned the Perfect Mall Date Into a Tragic Nightmare

Megan Vick March 24, 2023 at 8:53 a.m. PT

[Warning: The following contains spoilers for Episode 7 of The Last of Us, "Left Behind." Read at your own risk!]

Add arcades to the list of things we can't think about anymore without crying because of The Last of Us, alongside watches, strawberries, and magic slate paper toys. It is the dream of maybe all millennials to get to spend an unsupervised night at the mall, and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) got to live out that dream in Episode 7, until everything, per usual, went horrifically wrong.

In the present day, Ellie managed to get Joel (Pedro Pascal) to an abandoned house in the suburbs. He told her to leave him behind, but as she debated what to do, she had flashbacks to the fateful night she was bitten for the first time. The details of that night have been teased throughout the season, but only video game players knew what tragedy truly went down. Episode 7 is based off an ancillary adventure from the game in which Ellie and her best friend Riley (played in the show by Storm Reid) run amok in a shopping mall until a stalker shows up and ruins everything.
