My dear sir, the man is a certified criminal lunatic.
I admit he's unbalanced, but he's not a criminal.

I know the stress he's been working under.
He's suffering from a violent psychic upheaval... possibly a projective identification with the murderer.
Without a proper examination, I wouldn't like to put a name to it.
