Or so most people think. In reality, Air Force heritage and history is easy to find in its Airmen and the units in which they serve.
The 15th Airlift Wing at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii, is a living example of Air Force heritage and mission success.
Deploying to Southeast Asia to provide air defense and combat support, it was wing pilots Capts. Thomas Roberts, Ronald Anderson, Kenneth Holcombe and Arthur Clark, who scored the first Air Force aerial combat victories in Vietnam -- two MiG-17 Fresco fighters July 10, 1965.

Yesterday was some kind of foreign dream that was more of an emotion than a visualization. I couldn't remember any of the details although I felt like I had been seeing details. All I remembered was feeling like it was something intense, there was some intensity to the communication, almost overwhelming like a very strong and clear signal on a radio. After I woke up, I could only characterize the message as positive.
Today the first foreign dream wasn't too clear either. It had something to do with me, someother characters, and something about the stars. We were under the stars, or we were talking to the stars. I can visualize the sky with the stars but they may have also been a metaphor for people. Then I left somewhere and there was something about a goose, not sure what that meant, maybe something to do with staying meant something about a cooked goose.
The second foreign dream had a lot of detail. I was sitting on a bus with someone that I knew but I don't know who it was. It may have been Britney Spears but that makes no sense. I was sitting next to her and she was someone that I had lived with before, someone I had a relationship with, like a girlfriend. I was getting off the bus to a place I was staying that I don't recognize from anyplace I've been in real life. She asked me if I was really staying there, she may have commented that it was amazing I was staying there, or someone else said that. Apparently, it was the same place she and I had lived during our relationship. It was some kind of little travel trailer. A young woman was letting me stay there. I was taking up a little open seat or bench in a hallway of the trailer. I had a little storage bin to put my stuff in.

Catching a Ride to Destiny
The sight of the Astrovan's shiny silver exterior and bold NASA emblem evokes pride and excitement in those who watch it wind its way toward the launch pad at NASA's Kennedy Space Center. Before each space shuttle launch, astronauts smile and wave as they board the van that will carry them to meet their fully fueled ride to space.
Since 1984, each shuttle crew has travelled those nine miles, from their crew quarters to the launch pad, aboard the same vehicle. A modified Airstream motor home, the "Astrovan" as it is called has only racked up 24,000 miles in its 24 years of service. That's because it's used solely to transport the astronauts on three occasions: to the launch pad for launch dress rehearsal, on launch day and after landing.
The earlier shuttle flights had fewer crew members, so they used the Apollo-era astronaut transport van that now can be seen by tourists at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex's Apollo/Saturn V Center.

The V-22 Osprey is a joint service, multimission, military tiltrotor aircraft with both a vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) and short takeoff and landing capability (STOL). It is designed to perform missions like a conventional helicopter with the long-range, high-speed cruise performance of a turboprop aircraft. ARLINGTON - A prototype of the world's first production tilt-rotor aircraft, the V-22 Osprey, a revolutionary craft designed to perform the functions of both a helicopter and an airplane, successfully completed its first 15-minute test flight here Sunday, officials said.
The aircraft, produced by Bell Boeing of Fort Worth, remained in helicopter mode throughout the flight, during which a series of hovering maneuvers and other functions were evaluated, company officials said.
The V-22 Osprey performed both a slow taxi liftoff and a vertical takeoff during the landmark maneuvers and made conventional "run-on" landings.
The aircraft combines the operational capabilities of a helicopter with those of a fixed-wind turboprop. With its engines and prop-rotors vertical, the V-22 takes off, hovers and lands like a helicopter.
The Marine Corps is in line for 522 MV-22s for amphibious troop-assault and assault support missions, while the Navy has ordered 50 HV-22s for strike rescue and special warfare and fleet logistics support.

I'm still not really sure why Butte, Montana. Maybe that is where my home is that I cannot remember. That would make sense though. On more than one occasion I have just taken off and driven to Montana. I didn't do anything. I just drove there, probably spent less than a half-hour, always in Missoula, and then turned around and drove back. As for my home that I can't remember, that would make sense why I have had the same dream over and over for the past decade. The dream is always the same in the theme and the location, but the details change a little bit every time. The theme of the dream is that one day, I suddenly find out that I still own a house that I used to live in near Greer, SC. On a sidenote, I moved to Greer and bought that house in Country Club Estates, after I moved from Central, SC, while I was still working for UFP. Any fan of Tom Clancy, such as me, can tell you that "Admiral Greer" was the one who recruited "Jack Ryan" into the CIA.
Anyway, in the dream, I would suddenly find that I still had that home to go back to, which was great to know because I really missed the place. It was a very peaceful location and I really enjoyed living there. It was always the same in the dream. I could go back there anytime I wanted, even that very minute, and go home. Over and over I dreamed that I could go home at that very minute to that place I had forgotten about but that had not forgotten me.

The briefings took an hour. Ten aircraft would fly tonight: two planes each at five targets. As commander he drew the toughest.

Pentagon Clears Way For More Osprey Funds
WASHINGTON
The Pentagon has dropped its opposition to continuing development of the Boeing-Bell V22 Osprey, a move that will clear the way for an additional $1.5 billion in spending on the tilt-rotor aircraft.
The announcment came after Defense Secretary Dick Cheney met with House and Senate members this morning.
Cheney, who has attempted to kill the program for several years, agreed to release $795 million for the current fiscal year and support $755 million in the fiscal year that begins in October.
Part of the plane that flies conventionally but takes off and lands like a helicopter is built by Boeing Helicopters division near Philadelphia; the remainder by Bell Textron Helicopters in Texas.
Congress had threatened to chop spending at the department unless Cheney released the funding. The planes will replace the Marines' aging CH-45 helicopters.

WASHINGTON, July 2— Yielding to political pressure from powerful members of Congress, Defense Secretary Dick Cheney today reversed his decision to kill one of the Pentagon's most expensive new weapon systems.
The decision to devote $1.5 billion to development of the V-22 Osprey, a tilt-rotor aircraft that takes off like a helicopter and flies like a plane, is both a substantive and symbolic retreat by Mr. Cheney from Pentagon budget-trimming plans that have been strenuously resisted by Congress.
Congress has been of two minds on military spending. While wanting to pare the Pentagon budget so that money could be diverted to domestic programs, many lawmakers have been reluctant to make deep cuts in military spending during an election year, worried that it would hurt Pentagon contractors and increase unemployment in their districts.
The Osprey has already figured in the Presidential campaign, and Mr. Cheney's decision could well help Mr. Bush's re-election prospects, particularly in the states where the plane is being developed, Texas and Pennsylvania, each of which has a large number of electoral votes. The Osprey, is being developed by Bell Helicopter Textron in Fort Worth and Boeing Helicopters in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, just outside Philadelphia.
Mr. Cheney, who made the Osprey a symbol of the Defense Department's ability to cancel costly weapons programs that have powerful constituencies on Capitol Hill and in the military, has repeatedly criticized the program as too costly. He has complained that the prototype aircraft was 3,000 pounds over its weight limit.
But today, the Defense Secretary backed down, proposing a compromise in a letter to Senator George J. Mitchell of Maine, the majority leader. Under the proposed compromise, about $1.5 billion would be spent in the fiscal years 1992 and 1993 to develop the V-22 and to begin a program to develop a alternative helicopter. A final decision whether to go for the Osprey or for the new helicopter would be decided in the future, Mr. Cheney wrote.
The effect of Mr. Cheney's decision is to maintain some momentum behind the program to develop the V-22 plane, while withholding final judgment on buying the aircraft for the armed forces.
The compromise echoes a similar agreement that was reached on May 21 to keep the Seawolf submarine program alive and keep shipbuilding jobs in Connecticut. President Bush had wanted to terminate a contract to build two submarines, but Congress voted to build only one. Mr. Bush then accepted the scaled-down project.
The Marine Corps and the Special Operations Forces have also long favored the development of the plane, despite Mr. Cheney's opposition.

(a) Whoever, when the United States is at war, willfully makes or conveys false reports or false statements with intent to interfere with the operation or success of the military or naval forces of the United States or to promote the success of its enemies; or Whoever, when the United States is at war, willfully causes or attempts to cause insubordination, disloyalty, mutiny, or refusal of duty, in the military or naval forces of the United States, or willfully obstructs the recruiting or enlistment service of the United States, to the injury of the service or the United States, or attempts to do so— Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.
(b) If two or more persons conspire to violate subsection (a) of this section and one or more such persons do any act to effect the object of the conspiracy, each of the parties to such conspiracy shall be punished as provided in said subsection (a).
(c) Whoever harbors or conceals any person who he knows, or has reasonable grounds to believe or suspect, has committed, or is about to commit, an offense under this section, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both.
