Navy Cross
The Navy Cross is the highest decoration that may be bestowed by the Department of the Navy and the second highest decoration given for valor. It is normally only awarded to members of the United States Navy, United States Marine Corps and United States Coast Guard, but can be awarded to all branches of United States military as well as members of foreign militaries. It was established by Act of Congress (Pub.L. 65-253) and approved on February 4, 1919. The Navy Cross is equivalent to the Distinguished Service Cross (Army) and the Air Force Cross.

The Silver Star is the third-highest military decoration that can be awarded to a member of any branch of the United States armed forces for valor in the face of the enemy.
The Silver Star is awarded for gallantry in action against an enemy of the United States not justifying one of the two higher awards - the service crosses (Distinguished Service Cross, the Navy Cross, or the Air Force Cross), the second-highest military decoration, or the Medal of Honor, the highest decoration. The Silver Star may be awarded to any person who, while serving in any capacity with the armed forces, distinguishes himself or herself by extraordinary heroism involving one of the following actions:
In action against an enemy of the United States
While engaged in military operations involving conflict with an opposing foreign force

As a medal it is awarded for merit, and with the "V" for valor device it is awarded for heroism. May 4, 2005, was the day I went to the Kent Police department for help. I named George W. Bush specifically as one of the people harassing me. The policeman didn’t ask me any questions. He dumped me off at the St. Francis hospital in Federal Way where the first thing they did was secretly drug my food. I found it very hard to restrain the urge to laugh shortly after I had eaten.

I sleep in my Jeep for the next 14 days before I went into the Redmond Police Department, exhausted, and asked them for help because I had lived in that town before Kent and I had worked for Microsoft, which was based in that town. There was a bunch of stuff in my dreams last night, but I only remember one part. I was also very tired when I woke up, but couldn't go back to sleep. The part of the dream I do remember is where I was walking down some stairs. It seemed to be outside, as in stairs leading down the outside of a building, a factory maybe. I am thinking it was at the end of something, a conclusion of something. I turned around after going down a couple of the stairs and was organizing some stuff, books maybe. I couldn't get them all together or something and I think I was going to have to make a second trip to bring them all down. Within the boxes and books, I pulled out a hat and put it on. It was a U.S. Navy Officer's cover.

Plot Summary for
Wild Country (1947)
Rip Caxton (I. Stanford Jolley) escapes from a convict road gang and seeks out Sheriff Bill Devery (Steve Clark), the man responisble for his conviction. U.S. Marshal Harlan G. Thayer (Henry Hall) sends Marshal Eddie Dean (Eddie Dean) and his pal Soapy Jones (Roscoe Ates) after Caxton. The trail leads to Silver Springs, where Caxton has brutally murdered Devery and joined forces with local bad man Clark Varney (Douglas Fowley), and they have appointed Josh Huckings (Lee Roberts) as the new sheriff. They plan to kill Devery's daughter, Martha (Peggy Wynn), and take over the Devery ranch to use as a base for their cattle-rustling operation. Learning that Caxton wears a polka-dot hatband as a trademark, Eddie has Soapy wear a similar one, figuring that Caxton will come out into the open to investigate a rival. The townspeople mistake Soapy as the wanted outlaw and jail him.
