This Is What I Think.

Today is 11/16/2024, Post #2

by me, Kerry Burgess, 11/16/2024 10:06 PM

My work today started off keeping it real and to do some explaining by me about ornaments

Then I started working on something else because, yep, today did indeed become the first snow-day of this winter season here in Spokane

Then I started to see topics become connected, in the sense of how I organize this pattern in my original-work code-pattern

So, that complicates it somewhat. I want to start with the snowfall but I also want to lead off with the ornaments and I do not want to bury it and to lead off with it as the main subject of my blog-post. So, I am making two separate posts, on this Event Date variable 11/16/2024

Yesterday, the chief weather guy was ecstatic on tv news weather

He claimed to have predicted that their computer software for weather would predict snowfall for this day today

His vassal meteorologist workers were against the prospect of snowfall today and he was gloating that the computer-software was now - as of only yesterday - predicting real snowfall

So, you know what that means

This post leads into the next post here by me, that I am planning as of the moment, about the ornaments.

Working on this topic, I began to recognize similarities from my earlier discovery because of the ornaments

The content of that blog-post by me because of the ornaments is completely established by me before I started working on this blog-post

I am posting it here later

I want to watch episode three of "Dark Matter" but certainly that will create only more work for me. Yesterday, after watching "Silo" and blog-posting about it, I realized that my earlier viewing of "Dark Matter" contained similar elements

My sleeping-dreams continue to torment me

I have selected my totem, that which reminds me of an existence non-real

"Space"

TV-series season 1 episode 11, 04/02/2010

(from internet transcript)

SCOTT: Well, what do you think?

CAINE: I ... I'm an I.T. tech, you know. I fix Earth computers, not Ancient communication devices.

Stargate Universe - "Visitation" - tv-series Season 2 Episode 9, 11/23/2010

(from internet transcript)

In Camille's room, she has Caine under hypnosis. His eyes are closed. Young is standing nearby.

WRAY: What do you see?

CAINE: Snow is falling.

(Inside his head, he is standing about a dozen paces away from the rear of the shuttle. The snow has been falling for some time and he has left deep footprints behind him. Wrapped in a blanket, he gazes up at the sky, realising that it doesn't look like it's going to stop snowing any time soon. He lowers his head unhappily and turns back towards the ship.)

CAINE (on Destiny): The shuttle is our only shelter now.

(A couple of blankets have been hung over the doorway and Caine pushes through to where the rest of the crew are wrapped in more blankets and huddled around a tiny fire in a metal bowl. All of them are shuddering.)

CAINE (on Destiny): It's so cold. We lost power days ago.

(He looks around at his friends, who stare back at him as they tremble with the cold. Peter's gaze is more than a little accusing.)

Dr. CAINE (on Destiny): Something vital has broken and none of us know how to fix it.

Stargate Universe - "Visitation" - tv-series Season 2 Episode 9, 11/23/2010

(from internet transcript)

SCOTT: Did you hear the news?

(She walks closer to him, looking at him blankly.)

SCOTT: Uh, Doctor Caine and the bunch that stayed back on that planet - they came back!

ARMSTRONG: What, how?

SCOTT: Hell if I know! They don't even know! I guess we'll find out. Um, we've got a shuttle again, though, so we've got, like, that.

(He shrugs awkwardly, having already run out of things to say.)

Star Trek Generations (1994)

(from internet transcript)

[Veridian III mountaintop]

PICARD: You don't need to do this, Soran. ...I'm sure we could find another way of getting you into this Nexus.

SORAN: I've spent eighty years looking for another way. Believe me, this is the only one.

(Soran presses some buttons on a keypad and a rocket reveals itself on the launcher)

PICARD: What you're about to do Soran, is no different from when the Borg destroyed your world. They killed millions too, ...including your wife ...and children.

SORAN: Nice try. ...You know, there was a time when I wouldn't hurt a fly. Then the Borg came. And they showed me that if there is one constant in this whole universe. ...It's death. ...Afterwards I began to realise it didn't really matter. We're all going to die sometime. It's just a question of how and when. You will too, Captain. Aren't you beginning to feel time gaining on you? ...It's like a predator. It's stalking you. ...Oh, you can try and outrun it with doctors, medicines, new technologies, but in the end time is going to hunt you down, ...and make the kill.

PICARD: It's our mortality that defines us, Soran. It's part of the truth of our existence.

SORAN: What if I told you I've found a new truth.

PICARD: The Nexus?

SORAN: Time has no meaning there. The predator has no teeth.

[Bird-of-Prey bridge]

LURSA: Where is he now?

B'ETOR: He bathed. Now he's roaming the ship. ...He must be the only Engineer who doesn't go to engineering.
