Scanning, as always, the internet news again today this article captures my attention again today
Trying to think today of a term for it: The Orion Paradox, The Orion Effect, WTF Does Orion Have To Do With Anything
It is the conundrum about May 10, 2006, that day when it all started for me
None of this existed for me BEFORE that day. Well, many references here in this blog-post did exist before that day. My experience on active-duty US Navy from 1984 to 1990 is and has always been clear to me. It is the stuff from 1989 and later that is confusing and frustrating and it is the basis for my searching AND I can only conclude it was done that way for PRECISELY the reasons I continue searching for proof and evidence
Digital-photography (digital-photography is native camera images ; digital-art is any digital-image modified with editing-software, such as Photoshop, thus making it no longer a digital-photograph) became a beloved hobby for me when I moved back here to Spokane metro in Sept. 2013
From my patio, I developed an interest in nature and sky photography and I still do not get enough of it
I have not owned an automobile since year 2005, when I left my beloved 2002 black Jeep Wrangler, never to be seen again, in the visitor's parking lot of the City of Redmond police department, near Seattle
The metro-bus service doesn't offer me any routes that interest me. There's Dishman Hills but I don't plan going back there anytime soon. Plus, I doubt I could hike very far anymore, after decades wasted sitting here at this stupid desk
So my options for practicing my hobby are limited
For one other reason, you monkey-people cannot get over yourself and you get worked up anytime you see someone with a camera. So that's frustrating
I do not have anymore that beautiful skyline to capture images of sunrise
I am especially interested in night-photography
No places for me to practice
The very few instances I did get a chance at digital-night-photography did turn out fairly well and that's because I had enough experience with the camera settings to get it right the first time
So, this article had captured my attention again today
I am searching the internet for some Grand Meaning to explain 05/10/2006
And this doesn't really have anything to do with it but I can't let it go
Doesn't seem like very good journalism reporting to me.
I looked at the images and the most immediate explanation was obvious to me, from my personal interest in low-light digital-photography
My personal conclusion is their conclusions are incorrect. Without more information about the images, my conclusion is there is no difference

A few hours ago, I awoke in bed in the dark
I looked over at the digital-clock next to my bed
The clock suggested the current time was 11:57 PM
I had to concentrate for few moments
My question was answered when I saw the lights on the fan next to my bed, thoughts in my mind, from sleeping, as though I was aware of people talking about the electricity at that time being off
But nope, that fan was on.
Looked around into living-room, other stuff's on
About an hour ago, during the 7 AM broadcast of the same news of the day, they informed me of a system-wide power-outage here in Spokane Valley, where I live
I looked it up, in the past hour
Is scheduled to begin tonight at 11:59 PM, today, Monday, 8/16/2021
Because of an Osprey bird nest, they're taking down the entire power grid to remove it and make some repairs

Even with the complete blackout of the service-area of my utility provider, I could have still walked around outside easily, just due to light-pollution from the non-affected areas.
The final images in this collection captured by me was set manually to 1/20-second exposure-time and appeared to me closest to how I actually viewed the surroundings at that time.
