Past couple days, the notions are hitting me again that I have described before: May 10, 2006
Why did that happen
It is so convenient that it happened during - *during* - a period of inpatient and outpatient treatment by the USA Veterans Affairs hospital in Seattle
My theory now is that something really fantastic happened
AND IT WAS DESIGNED to happen - to coincide - with that experience with the VA psychiatric hospital
My most likely explanation is that it was created that way to slow me down
My observations and analysis of the "Dark Matter" AppleTV+ streaming-video serial has now largely dominated - systematized - my thinking about the possible - *possible* - explanation. It's fiction, but I am learning something from it that I would not have figured out by myself
I am thinking again of that in terms of how this fantastic story of mine DID NOT exist for me until May 10, 2006
There was nothing fantastic - *NOTHING* - before May 10, 2006
Part of my research, if you have followed along, is me using the "Visitation" episode of a former Stargate tv-series to try to create evidence that "weather cannot be part of conspiracy"
So, I am looking at global weather patterns for better understanding
"You'll recognize yourself" became part of the pattern recently and it was very clear. I saw it echo in other places, too, that same day it appeared to me
This note establishes a pattern change in the weather that I have been watching for in recent weeks.
The local tv-news weather guy pointed out recently that New Orleans had suddenly surpassed Spokane in totals for snowfall this season
I should point out that 'snowfall' is different from 'snow depth'
In my mainstream-media bubble, I do not hear a lot of those parrots squawking about "climate change" as the reason for our really crappy winter season here in Spokane.
The National Weather Service in Spokane is still reporting total 13.0 inches of snowfall in Spokane for this 2024-2025 water-year season. Average is almost 4 feet per season. The chart I am looking at right now shows that, on average, we should have measured over 30 inches by this time in the season.
My first winter here in Spokane metro was year 2013
I like the snow. Is the reason I moved here from across state in Seattle, after moving here to Washington State from South Carolina.
Using the NWS Spokane charts, they have reported 542 inches of snowfall since I moved here. That's over 45 feet
Glancing at the charts, I see a similar pattern this year with the water-year chart for Oct 2018 through Sep 2019
Past performance is no promise of future performance. So, whether this works out this year same as February 2019, is anyone's guess.
Back in year 2019, the NWS report for total snowfall was 56.9 inches.
About 30 inches of that happened in Feb. 2019.
I haven't found any details about the weather patterns for that point, but looking at the chart, I have to wonder if a similar pattern-flip happened.
The chart shows mostly abundant rainfall before that point so I would guess we were under a strong ridge of high-pressure, same as this year, so I understand it. Sometimes that weather-guy I watch explains the points I wonder about in my blog-posts.
I made a blog-post recently with a collection of images that I captured during the season beginning Oct. 2018 and that illustrated the heavy snowfall that began in Feb. 2019
I don't have a view anymore of the mountains ridge to the east of metro Spokane but I looked at the images on the traffic cameras and there is still a clearly visible accumulation of snow
My images of year 2015 show very little accumulated snow on those same peaks. That year the snow season abruptly ends in Jan 2015 and the total snowfall is reported as only 17.6 inches.
Following year was double that much and happened mostly in the second half of Dec. 2015.
The water-year Oct. 2016 doubled again that amount and was sort of a gradual buildup but also with rainfall that was well above average totals, which seems to be because of warm October and November temperatures.
Glancing at the charts, these disappointing results are nothing new. Oct. 2002 begins a season with less than half of snowfall, on average for winter seasons in Spokane. Year 2004 ends almost a foot above normal at 54.7 inches. Then 2005 is half the average. 2006 is also well below average and the graph shows temperatures well above average and a lot of rainfall.
So, there doesn't seem to be a clear pattern overall, to me and my observations of the charts.
There are so many factors that can affect weather. And that's what 'climate' means.
My research is based on events that happen on specific days.
I am looking closer at this to try to understand the larger patterns at work
Very long ago, I heard someone as he, confused, stated that the chance of rainfall on any given day must always be '50-50'. He clearly had not thought that through. Which might not have mattered anyway. People with non-curious minds cannot solve any problem because they have nothing to think through. They don't look for the details that might explain the condition that confuses them. And even then, they probably will never consider the implications of subjective interpretation.

Even in Spokane, rain during the dead of winter is normal. But when it turns into snow, not only do we see more snow throughout winter, but it also stays on the ground longer.
It’s easy to cite 30-year averages and say things like, “Spokane typically sees 46 inches of snow in a given winter,” or “Coeur d’Alene averages about 70 inches annually.” However, those numbers don’t always reflect how we deal with the snow when it comes.
This winter, you’ll likely notice more snow, and it will stay on the ground longer—a stark contrast to the brown grass we saw so often last winter. It will feel more like the winters that were common not so long ago.

Spokane's mild winter streak snapped by first day in the 20s in nearly a full year
Spokane has seen one of our longest stretches of 30+ degree days in a row, highlighting a mild and "easy" start to the winter season.

SPOKANE, Wash. — The 2024-2025 Winter season in Spokane has been incredibly easy-going so far, with way more rain than snow, temperatures hardly below average, and nothing more inconvenient than the usual fog out by the airport day-after-day.
So I was digging around and found some weird statistics that support more than just the "feeling" that this has been a mild winter for us.
Officially, Spokane has picked up 13" of snow on the season, but that observation is kept at the airport. We would argue that downtown Spokane has seen far less snow this winter

I have been trying to determine if 09/06/2018 is the day I decided to kill my Facebook page.
I have not yet determined conclusively that fact but there is a clear fact about that day
That is the day I downloaded for the last time my archive of my Facebook activities
I cannot recall specifically about Facebook, but when I deleted my Twitter account, that was the last thing I did just before deleting my page
I sent in a request for my archive and then deleted my account
For Facebook, the last time I received an archive was 09/06/2018
From 3/17/1905 ( Albert Einstein submits "On a Heuristic Point of View concerning the Production and Transformation of Light." ) To 11/23/2010 ( ) is 38602 days
38602 = 19301 + 19301
From 11/2/1965 ( my known birth date in Antlers, Oklahoma, USA, as Kerry Wayne Burgess ) To 9/6/2018 ( ) is 19301 days
Stargate Universe - "Visitation" - tv-series Season 2 Episode 9, 11/23/2010
(from internet transcript)
CAINE: It's nice to hear your voice. Uh, well, of course there's no way of knowing His will, but I do know that I prayed every night before I went to sleep that He would keep us safe.
WALLACE (cynically): So ... magic, then.
CAINE: You have to admit that our arrival here is nothing less than miraculous, Eli.
(Eli, who has been looking increasingly uncomfortable as the conversation has progressed, now shuts off the comms and talks over his shoulder to Young.)
WALLACE: "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." Arthur C. Clarke.
YOUNG: "Turn the mic back on." Winston Churchill.
WALLACE (frowning): Really?
(Young gestures towards the screen, where Peter is shouting at the Kino. Eli turns the sound back on.)
PETER: ... are you gonna keep us here?
VAL: We haven't done anything.
YOUNG: Try to be patient. You'll be released once you've all undergone a physical examination one at a time.
CAINE: But we're perfectly fine.
YOUNG: Well, forgive me if I don't take your word for that. The more answers we have, the less precautions we'll have to take.
(He switches the comms off, and looks at Eli.)
YOUNG: Let's keep an eye on 'em.
(Eli nods, and Young leaves the room.)
SHUTTLE. Young walks in to where Nicholas, Scott, Brody and Volker are checking out their shiny new ship. And it is a shiny new ship, unlike the battered old vessel which Young had flown down to the Faith planet a year ago.
YOUNG: What do you think?
RUSH: Well, it appears to have been completely restored.
SCOTT: Brand spankin' new, more like it.
RUSH: Every part, every system, every square inch of this thing's in perfect factory condition.
BRODY: Even has that new shuttle smell(!)
(He smiles brightly at Young.)
YOUNG: Again, how?
RUSH: I don't know, but it could be invaluable to the mission.
YOUNG: So, nothing to be concerned about, no ticking timebombs, alien transmissions?
SCOTT: No, sir. At least, not yet, anyway.
YOUNG: Let's keep lookin'.
INFIRMARY. As a soldier escorts Balding Asian Guy from the room, T.J. reports to Young.
JOHANSEN: They're all in perfect health - no trace of disease or malnutrition, just like the day we left them.
YOUNG: What are the odds of that?
JOHANSEN: Eight adults who've been through what they've been through?!
YOUNG: You know, not one of them remembers a damn thing about the planet or how they got here.
JOHANSEN: Well, Caine believes that's God's way of telling them they've been reborn.
YOUNG (cynically): Was that before or after He gave them amnesia?
JOHANSEN: The others think that maybe the aliens discovered them and returned them to us as an act of benevolence.
YOUNG: Well, that's nice(!)
JOHANSEN: You're not buying it.
YOUNG: Nah. These aliens are too damn powerful. Building planets, rebuilding shuttles - they could ... they could squash us like ants if they wanted to.
JOHANSEN: That scares you?
YOUNG: Yes! But what scares me even more is the feeling I got when I looked them in the eye.
JOHANSEN (frowning): I thought it was just me.
YOUNG: I should be welcoming them with open arms, but I can't be in a room with any of them for more than a minute before I wanna get the hell away.
