The Battle of Tsushima, also known in Japan as the Battle of the Sea of Japan , was the final naval battle of the Russo-Japanese War, fought on 27–28 May 1905 in the Tsushima Strait. A devastating defeat for the Imperial Russian Navy, the battle was the only decisive engagement ever fought between modern steel battleship fleets and the first in which wireless telegraphy (radio) played a critically important role. The battle was described by contemporary Sir George Clarke as "by far the greatest and the most important naval event since Trafalgar".

All 11 Russian battleships were lost, out of which seven were sunk and four captured. Only a few warships escaped, with one cruiser and two destroyers reaching Vladivostok, and two auxiliary cruisers as well as one transport escaping back to Madagascar. Three cruisers were interned at Manila by the United States until the war was over. Eight auxiliaries and one destroyer were disarmed and remanded at Shanghai by China. Russian casualties were high, with more than 5,000 dead

Bat*21 (1988)

For most of the morning earlier today and through the afternoon I had been thinking about something that I was thinking happened in the year 1995. These are new thoughts that only started happening earlier today. The line of thought is that I, as Kerry Burgess, was in court of law of the United States and I was there in my capacity at the time as a Chief Deputy United States Marshal. I tripped up the scumbag defense lawyer right from the start and, to make a long story short, after we returned from a private meeting with the judge, who called us in for the private meeting, and remembering how that scumbag lawyer always stood at a certain place near where the witness left the stand, I left the witness stand after we had returned to court and I walked towards him and then with a full shoulder throw I threw my fist and I knocked him out right there in the court. The judge had earlier warned me of being in contempt and then he ordered me taken out of court and then he ordered me confined in a cell in that building. My brother came in later that night and he was able to take me out of jail on his recognizance but I had to stay with him during the 3 days I was supposed to be confined in jail. My brother also told me I was fired from the United States Marshals Service. I hated to even have to set that up but that was the plan. In 1994 I was given orders that went to my capacity as a United States Marine Corps officer.
