This Is What I Think.

Today is 09/13/2025, Post #2

Have not yet viewed the two most recent episodes of "Invasion" on AppleTV+

Thinking of viewing at least episode 3, this early evening. Episode 4 debut was yesterday

On my other computer, I enjoy that new Apex update for the computer-game Space Engineers, a truly great value for entertainment, galactically better than any collection of videos

Procedure I have used in the past is to review the video I watch that day and compare with observations I make in my original-work code-pattern

See, the people lurking out there in the shadows *causing* certain details to appear in the video content will know the specific calendar-day their video becomes available

WHAT THEY will never know for certain is the day I actually view the content

The two recent episodes are completely unknown to me at this moment. I have not read even the summary for the episodes

Seems to me this is the most compelling use of my original-work code-pattern: to see what I see on this day, which is not the debut day of the video series episode

And now, episode 3 of this new season of episodes

Original debut was 09/05/2025, content is completely new to me today, just now read the summary as I begin the video. If this becomes a blog-post by me here on my blog then I intend to craft and assemble the content as it progresses on this page to match the cognitive process in my mind as I view the episode. Also, I don't want to make it wonkish, so in past cases, I did not follow each and every idea that formed in my conscious mind

To wit, the opening scene in "former" Boise caused me to search for Wayward Pines and 06/11/2015

Read a few things, was bemused by an article in the Princetonian on 02/05/1976 about a woman describing the pressure of studying

Seems compelling, because of other dialog by that guy who is apparently now the husband of that woman who is a medical-doctor. I cannot ever recall most of their names

So, this is all I am noting about that. Continuing the video

As I noted earlier, this entire point about how I am viewing the video for the very first time, only today. The original debut is 09/05/2025 but my review is based on this day 09/13/2025

What does any of this prove?

Well, nothing, it seems

Certainly has suspended my disbelief, however, as though it is intended to cause me to anticipate future activity out there in the real world, that I will observe

Skipping a review of the awkward and cringey scene with the amateur musicians

"Mr. Brightside"

Then a scene follows that made me examine my code-pattern for the day that episode actually premiere

As I was writing about my memories of Phoebe at Camp Couchdale, I was thinking about this scene from "2001." I was writing a while back about how she told me to never forget that dance where we first met.

Now, because of this next scene, I examine this pattern from the standpoint of me watching this content today for the first time and with no prior knowledge of the content before actually viewing the video today

This works only because I made the sudden and random choice only today to view it for the first time, consciously avoiding it - until today

A later scene seems to be an obvious reference to the 1979 "Apocalypse Now"

Comparing that recent debut reveals an association with the 1998 "Sphere"

So, that's all just wonkishness by the people creating the story

I am not comparing it with today's date

"Apocalypse Now" has been referenced by me many times because of my presence at the Crossland in Spokane back in year 2004

Willard (voice-over): Saigon. Shit. I'm only in Saigon. Every time, I think I'm gonna wake up back in the jungle. When I was home after my first tour, it was worse. I'd wake up and there'd be nothing. I hardly said a word to my wife until I said yes to a divorce. When I was here, I wanted to be there. When I was there, all I could think of was getting back into the jungle. I'm here a week now. Waiting for a mission. Getting softer. Every minute I stay in this room, I get weaker. And every minute Charlie squats in the bush, he gets stronger. Each time I looked around, the walls moved in a little tighter.

Mitsuki's scene has dialog that caused me to examine the original premiere date of this episode

Because of the dialog, I thought of the premiere episode of "Stargate SG-1" and I discover an association with a 1962 episode of "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" titled "Apex".

Her conversation and the knife makes me think of my comments at the beginning of this note because there is also a same day 1962 episode of another tv-series and the episode is titled "The Tiger"

ARCHIVES 1975

REPORT ON SPYING RELEASED BY C.I.A.

By NICHOLAS M. HORROCK JULY 9, 1975

WASHINGTON, July 8—The Central Intelligence Agency made a major build-up of its domestic intelligence operation during the Administration of President Nixon, according to documents released by the C.I.A. for the first time tonight.

In an unexpected disclosure, the C.I.A. made public a report that its director, William E. Colby, made to President Ford last Dec. 24. This report is a portion of an internal analysis of the agency's involvement in illegal domestic intelligence operations and other wrongdoing compiled at the request of Mr. Colby's predecessor, James R. Schlesinger, in May, 1973. Mr. Schlesinger is now the Secretary of Defense.

Symington Briefed

According to these newly released documents, two Congressional figures, Senator Stuart Symington, Democrat of Mis souri, and Representative Lucien N. Nedzi, Democrat of Michigan, were briefed on the details more than two years ago.

This new material contained several disclosures:

According to a memorandum dated June 1, 1972, the major increase in the staff and facilities of the Special Operations Group came after Mr. Nixon had taken office on Jan. 20, 1969. The unit was the core of a domestic C.I.A. intelligence operation that has come under criticism for violating the agency's legal charter, which forbids the C.I.A. to engage in spying within the United States.

This memorandum revealed that the major formal strength of the unit was provided in mid-1969, when 36 positions were authorized, and increased in the spring of 1971, when another 18 positions were authorized. Although those operations, code-named CHAOS within the C.I.A., were begun under President Lyndon B. Johnson in 1967, this memorandum indicates that they gained their breadth under President Nixon. Before that the operation had two full-time professions staff members.

The documents disclosed that the C.I.A. recruited “paid informants” among construction crews working on its headquarters in 1960 and 1961 in order to prevent foreign intelligence services from planting secret electronic listening devices.

The documents also revealed a memorandum dated Aug. 15, 1967, in which the head of covert operations for C.I.A. at the time, Thomas H. Karamessines, suggested to C.I.A. officials that Harry Rositzke and Richard Ober, head what later became known as CHAOS. One or both of them had long been rumored to have 10 the super-secret domestic Operations.
