Part of it was the tremendous, walloping psychological shock of the empty countryside. As long as he had been in Shoyo, he had been partially protected from it. Shoyo was empty and he could adjust to that. But McNab was empty, too, and Texarkana, and Spencerville; Ardmore had burned right to the ground. He had come north on Highway 81 and had only seen deer. Twice he had seen what were probably signs of living people: a campfire perhaps two days old, and a deer that had been shot and neatly cleaned out. But no people. It was enough to screw you all up, because the enormity of it was steadily creeping up on you. It wasn’t just Shoyo or McNab or Texarkana; it was America, lying here like a huge discarded tin can with a few forgotten peas rolling around in the bottom. And beyond America was the whole world, and thinking of that made Nick feel so dizzy and sick that he had to give up.
He bent over the atlas instead. If they kept rolling, maybe they would be like a snowball going downhill, getting bigger. With any luck they would pick up a few more people between here and Nebraska (or be picked up themselves, if they met a larger group). After Nebraska he supposed they would go somewhere else. It was like a quest with no object in view at the end of it - no Grail, no sword plunged into an anvil.

The probability - or galactic improbability - of severe weather engineered for a specific result over a specific location
There has never been a winter season without snowfall in Spokane's historical records
I have not found a source of historical records I want to find for GFS illustrations
This sort of activity might be normal, I just don't know
From my research so far, looks ominous
It's a 336 hour forecast {in parlance of those A.I. Kiddies, the computer-software program can sometimes hallucinate} so it's doubtful to me - and my non-educated-formally-in-meteorology guess - it is based on anything near reality

Not sure if that was the day I remember. I remember heavy snow in downtown Seattle and that it was about the same time as Spokane was pummeled by about 2 feet of snow in about 24 hours, something I have yet to see here in Spokane in such a short span of time.
I remember that day in year 2008 and I was as sure as I remain today that there is something I must find that will get me out of here.
Back in that time - as now, almost 20 years later - I was sitting in that really small apartment, for several years, on a hard chair, hunched over my laptop computer and this stuff was a lot more labor intensive than now, because a few years later, one day, I wrote a software program that automated more of it than before. Still could use more work, that I will probably never accomplish.
That one day I saw it snowing heavily and rarely in downtown Seattle, I walked outside my apartment in the shadow of the Space Needle, and I felt somewhat guilty for not being at my desk during the daytime, thinking certainly I was only a few hours away from discovering the answer I needed.
THEY would have stopped me already if this was not what was so carefully and deliberately planned for me

One place I just measured had slightly more than 2.5 inches of accumalated snow.
There was already a significant amount of snow visible on the ground when I looked outside the window about 5:45 this morning and I was under the impression from the weather reports that it had only started snowing around that time but I don't really know when it started here.

Snowplow crews worked furiously Thursday against a wintry onslaught that dropped record amounts of snow over the Inland Northwest, repeating a pattern left from the brutal 2007-’08 winter.
At nearly 2 feet, the snow was so deep that it forced Spokane crews to focus on major arterial routes in an effort to keep the city from being completely choked.
Stores and government offices closed. Workers stayed home on the advice of authorities on both sides of the state line.
Forecasters warned that there may not be much time to dig out, and the work will have to be done in single-digit temperatures today and Saturday.
Another snowstorm could bring 5 inches or more Sunday with yet another storm in the offing for Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.
Spokane ended up with 23.3 inches over 34 hours ending at 4 p.m. Thursday. Coeur d’Alene had 25 inches by Thursday morning. Other locations had more.
It was the most snow received in both Spokane and Coeur d’Alene in a 24-hour period since record-keeping began.

Kohberger spent hours video chatting daily with his mother while locked up, inmate says
A fellow inmate told investigators that Bryan Kohberger spent hours each day video chatting with his mother while in custody.
According to the interview, the inmate was watching sports during one of those calls and said “you suck” to a player on TV.
Kohberger, who overheard the comment, allegedly “immediately got up and put his face to the bars” and “aggressively asked if [the inmate] was talking about him or his mother.”

I have been sleeping a lot the past couple days or so. I am not certain how long it has been. It started after I ate a tuna sandwich I bought at QFC the last time I bought groceries there. I have been wondering if it was drugged and I decided just now to note it because I was thinking again about that scene where "Klaatu" passes out in that recent remake of "The Day The Earth Stood Still." The scenery suggests he passes out because of the injury from the gunshot wound but I think that was also after he used his paranormal powers to get the tuna sandwich from the machine, which is something the lunatics out here would take as some kind of iconic notion for poisoning my food. As usual, those employees in there creep me out and that moment when I made that selection for that sandwich was no different and I am wondering if that was one of those times they were recording video that the Terrorist Organization Microsoft-Corbis will use after they kill all of us. It is some kind of perverse reality show they are taping around me and it is so subtle that I am only picking up on parts of it. They are probably just recording me in a manner that will establish the notion of me being in the scene while much of the dialog is happening outside my sensory awareness. They just patch in clips of me to create the illusion of my participation or something similar to that. Whatever they are doing though is centered on me, such as those QFC employees drugging my food. One possibility is that they are trying to match up those scenes of me buying food that they drugged with them reading my blog and then creating the perception that the information I write about is because I am drugged.

I read that article and it is another of those incidents that is just completely stupid.
In my opinion, the enlisted military does not know what is an illegal order. So that seems like a non-issue.
Commissioned-officers certainly would know.

Prosecutors seek death penalty in Idaho murder case

Prosecutors say they will seek the death penalty against a man accused of killing four university students in Moscow, Idaho.
Bryan Kohberger, 28, faces four counts of first degree murder in the stabbing deaths of the students in an off-campus house last November.
He was arrested following a six-week manhunt.
A judge entered a not guilty plea on his behalf last May after he chose to "stand silent" in court.
In new court filing on Monday, prosecutors wrote that "considering all evidence currently known to the State, the State is compelled to file this notice of intent to seek the death penalty".
The top prosecutor, Bill Thompson, wrote in the court filing that this case met the standard for the death penalty as Mr Kohberger's acts were "especially heinous, atrocious or cruel" and "exhibited utter disregard for human life".
