So, here's the thing:

Did they do this *deliberately*?

This is very convoluted

I can assemble the pieces and make it sensible

But why?

(Never underestimate a professional story-writer)

All that trouble they go to - for why?

I have a lot of doubt in my mind *now* because of the other stuff I find. I find myself unable to continue viewing that episode again today unless I make this blog-post first

Sure, they could have done it deliberately - but why?

They could have done it and done it consciously

I propose there is something deeper they do not understand, if they did it deliberately
