I was thinking a few days ago about something that happened on the Wainwright and I wonder why I have that memory. It was during the deployment to the Arabian Gulf in 1988. We had to increase roving security patrols on the ship while in the Gulf. As a result, we were shorthanded because we also had our primary watches to stand, which in my case was in the Fire Control Computer Complex. The people who typically were assigned to roam the ship with a sidearm came from my division of Fire Controlman as well as the Gunner's Mates. To cover the patrols, we brought in people that didn't handle guns very much and one of them had an accident on the bridge one day. People without proper training would pull the trigger to release the hammer instead of doing it the proper way of holding the hammer all the way down and then using the trigger to slowly release the hammer. This one bonehead did that one day during watch turnover on the bridge and fired off a round in
the .45. He hit a camera that was sitting on the duty Boatswain's Mate's table there on the bridge. It was damn lucky that no one got hurt. But I wonder now about this memory and if it represents a combat experience of mine in the Gulf

I was disappointed I got only an hour of my imaginary girlfriend this morning. The previous 3 days of 4 hours was spoiling me.
Damn I am one bored loser homeless guy.
I literally almost expect someone to stab me in the back with a knife when someone walks behind me on the street. I don't know why that has started bothering me. I feel like my thought processes are still pretty normal, but I do think about a lot of stuff, got nothing else to do.

The Incidents at Ruby Ridge
On August 21, 1992, Deputy United States Marshal William Degan and Samuel Weaver were killed at Ruby Ridge, Idaho, during a confrontation between the Marshals Service and Randall Weaver, Samuel Weaver, and Kevin Harris.
The following day, a member of the FBI Hostage Rescue Team, Lon Horiuchi, fired two shots. The first shot struck and wounded Randall Weaver. The second shot struck both Vicki Weaver and Harris, killing Vicki Weaver instantly and wounding Harris.

WASHINGTON - Former diplomat Joseph Wilson used to tell reporters he felt certain how his obituary would read. It went: "Joseph C. Wilson IV, who was the last American diplomat to meet with Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, died . . . "
But "it seems to change," Wilson said Tuesday. He has kept mentally revising the obituary to keep up with the political maelstrom over Iraq policy and White House leaks that is swirling around him.
A recent version began: "Joseph C. Wilson IV, the Bush I administration political appointee who did the most damage to the Bush II administration, . . . "
The current version goes: "Joseph C. Wilson IV, the husband of the spy the White House outed, . . . "
Wilson, 53, is also now known as the man the CIA sent to Niger in February 2002 to investigate rumors that Saddam was trying to buy uranium there - and who came back with denials from Niger officials. As President Bush repeated the allegation - most prominently in the so-called "16 words" in the State of the Union address in January - Wilson said, he grew increasingly perplexed. And by July, he was annoyed enough to say publicly that U.S. officials had exaggerated the public case for invading Iraq.
At the time, he said he feared that the White House would retaliate. It allegedly did when administration officials called reporters to identify Wilson's wife as a clandestine CIA operative.
As the world now knows, Wilson is married to Valerie Wilson, nee Plame. She is his third wife. She is 40 and the mother of their 3-year-old twins. In the photos in his office, she has the looks of a film star.
"She is really quite amazing," Wilson said. "We were just discussing today who would play her in the movie," he cracked.
