I was once temporarily paralyzed from the waist down after a hard landing, aggravating the injury from a few weeks earlier from another hard landing in a parachute, from the F-16 Falcon fighter jet I had to eject from. My captors thought I was permanently paralyzed so they did not have any security watching me. After about a day or two, what turned out to be a pinched nerve in my back subsided and I slipped away and floated down a river until the rescue team found me, which was possible because my captors had left all my pilot survival gear on a chair on the other side of the hospital room I was in.

The channel 4 KOMO tv news studio is across the street from the Space Needle in downtown Seattle
On May 9, 2006, as I watched the tv from a few miles away, the weather guy gesturing to a video image on the sidewalk below where he was standing and there was a guy standing there on the sidewalk with a canvas on an easel and he seemed to be painting a picture of the Space Needle across the street from him
The next morning, May 10, 2006, I awoke in that grungy homeless shelter on the waterfront in downtown Seattle and I knew with absolute certainty everything I remember about my past was wrong.

The thought occurred to me the other day, yesterday I think, that the primary purpose of the Orion spacecraft was to send me to the outer solar system to destroy or deflect a comet or asteroid that was threatening Earth. But then as I was just thinking about this again, the thought occurred to me that it wasnt Earth that the interloper was due to hit, rather it was going to strike one of the other inner planets, which is Mercury, Venus, and Mars. The problem was that no one knew what would happen if one of those planets was destroyed but it was reasonable to assume it would have a negative impact on Earth. They had to construct the Orion spacecraft because it was the only theoretical spacecraft that could get someone out there quickly so that other options could be tried if it failed. As a result of having so much power to spare from that spacecraft, I got to tour the other planets and coincidentally encountered on alien race on Saturn. They aren't physical being such as humans but oddly we are capable of telepathic contact. I started wondering a few minutes ago if this dream journal entry reflects that mission. I have been wondering why '58' comes up a lot and maybe it is because 1958 was the year the comet or asteroid was discovered. The year 1975 was when I was sent out to take care of it, probably with a large thermonuclear bomb. The details about the thawing ice suggest to me that it was a comet. I find it annoying that the dream occurred on April 1st.
Sleep journal 4/1/06
This morning I dreamed I was traveling down a four-lane road towards Shelton. I was on a bicycle but I was effortlessly traveling at 75 mph. I thought to myself that I should be wearing a helmet. Then I was on a dirt road. There was a turn I needed to make to go up to the mountains I wanted to go to, but I was traveling at 58 mph and wouldn't be able to make the turn so I kept going until I slowed down enough to turn. As I was just writing that, I remembered that time, 12/23/01, when I hit that patch of ice and separated my shoulder. In this dream today, there was still some ice and a little snow around, but it all seemed to be thawing, as in a spring thaw. The road was muddy. I vaguely remember some people or a person being around there but I can't remember any details.

And that is what Star Trek The Motion Picture, from 12/7/79, was about. They had to get the Enterprise out there quickly to intercept the intruder and the Enterprise was the only ship available to do it. And if I m not mistaken, the Voyager 1 probe was launched in 1977, which is the year I think I returned from my journey to the outer solar system.
And there was that movie with Sean Connery titled Meteor. I keep wanting to say that one of the astronauts that was killed in the opening sequence was the President s son but I can t find any reference to that on the internet. Amazon.com indicates that the movie was released to theatres on 10/19/79.

I think the scriptwriters, maybe I was one of them, combined the elements of the comet and the aliens I encountered in the outer solar system. This part reflects what I sensed when I approached Saturn.
