I watched the first part of this 2-part episode on television last night and it made me think of a few things. I created this script in support of my efforts to prosecute and convict the Microsoft-IBM-George Bush-Communist espionage forces that remain active to this day in the U.S. government and prosecution and conviction of Microsoft and IBM and George Bush is guaranteed and has in fact already been established.

"Magnum, P.I."
Did You See the Sun Rise? Part 1 (1982)
Original Air Date: 30 September 1982 (Season 3, Episode 1)
The episode starts with "Thomas Magnum's" voice over dialog about how he watched "Stalag 17" as a 10-year-old as he is watching the film on tape and then he has a flashback to what he describes as his own "Stalag 17" experience during the Vietnam War.
"Ivan" talks about "schoolboy" pranks or tricks or something like that as he is torturing "Magnum" and so the bad guy "Ivan," who I guess is Soviet, explains that there is no propaganda value to him if "Magnum" signs a confession. "Ivan" apparently kills "TC's" gunner by shooting him in the leg and the gunner apparently bleeds to death.
Another angle during the story line is about a U.S. Navy lieutenant who gets called before a U.S. Navy admiral as they watch a surface-to-air missile exercise and the Lt. is being warned that he faces court-martial for allowing the civilian "Thomas Magnum" access to the Lt.'s classified computer system.
Later, the Lt., tells "Magnum" that he resigned from the U.S. Navy earlier that day and then is a third-wheel when "Thomas" has a date with his girlfriend and that includes the scene where "Thomas" has to watch his girlfriend hula-dancing with some other guy. As with all good fiction, she claims to have had fun.
During the bar scene, there is also some dialog that suggests his friend may not have actually resigned but he has another motive for hanging around "Thomas Magnum" that day. Whatever his motive was dies though when "Magnum's" car explodes with only the Lt. in it. "Thomas" and his girlfriend are injured by the blast and later dialog from "Higgin's" suggests that "Magnum" had a long walk of 12 miles from the hospital to his house, where he encountered "Higgin's" on the beach after his long walk home from the hospital.

PINK FLOYD LYRICS
"Heroes Return"
Jesus Jesus what's it all about
trying to clout these little ingrates into shape
when i was their age all the lights went out
there was no time to whine and mope about
and even now part of me flies over
dresden at angels one five
though they'll never fathom it behind my
sarcasm desperate memories lie
sweetheart sweetheart are you fast asleep, good
'cos that's the only time that i can really [ speak ] to you
and there is something that i've locked away
a memory that is too painful
to withstand the light of day
when we came back from the war the banners and
flags hung on everyones door
we danced and we sang in the street and
the church bells rang
but burning in my heart
my memory smoulders on
of the gunners dying words on the intercom

Title: Oingo Boingo - Dead Mans Party lyrics
I'm all dressed up with nowhere to go
Walkin' with a dead man over my shoulder
Waiting for an invitation to arrive
Goin' to a party where no one's still alive
Chorus
I was struck by lighting
Walkin' down the street
I was hit by something last night in my sleep
It's a dead man's party
Who could ask for more
Everybody's comin', leave your body at the door
Leave your body and soul at the door . . .
(don't run away it's only me)
All dressed up with nowhere to go
Walkin' with a dead man
Waitin' for an invitation to arrive
With a dead man . . . dead man . . .
Got my best suit and my tie
Shiny silver dollar on either eye
I hear the chauffeur comin' to the door
Says there's room for maybe just one more . . .
Chorus
Don't run away it's only me
Don't be afraid of what you can't see
Don't run away it's only me . . .
