The scumbag political worker, shilling for Lisa Brown, (or E.T. the Extraterrestrial-look-alike), as he palmed her name on this t-shirt, who had, I guessed, a document that told him where all the single women live in Spokane Valley. That's why he was knocking on my apartment door.
I'm fairly annoyed by the scumbag at that point, especially because of the pretentiousness of some moron who thinks I would want to vote for such an ignorant organization.

A campaign swing to the West will bring Vice President Mike Pence to downtown Spokane on Tuesday to stump for U.S. Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers.
The vice president is scheduled to appear Tuesday afternoon at the Spokane Convention Center at a late luncheon, where he will make remarks to a crowd of benefactors to the McMorris Rodgers campaign. It’ll mark the first visit to Spokane by a sitting vice president since Dick Cheney stopped at Fairchild Air Force Base in 2006.

SPOKANE, Ore. — Vice President Mike Pence is set to come to Spokane to give a speech in support of U.S. Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) on Tuesday afternoon.
Jared Powell, spokesman for the McMorris Rodgers campaign, said the fundraiser is set for Oct. 2 from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Spokane Convention Center. Pence is expected to speak between 4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Tickets range from $125 fro a general admission ticket to $5,000 for a sponsor ticket, which includes a photo opportunity for two and two dinner tickets.
Previous fundraiser speakers for McMorris Rodgers includes Kellyanna Conway, Counselor to President Donald Trump, and California Rep. Devin Nunes.
Tickets to the event are available here.
Incumbent McMorris Rodgers is in a heated race with her democratic challenger Lisa Brown. Recent polls show the race nearly tied with one month before the election.
McMorris Rodgers has served as U.S. Representative for Washington's 5th district since 2005.
Lisa Brown is the former Senate Majority Leader in the Washington House of Representatives and was most recently the Chancellor of Washington State University Spokane.

Harold Saxton Burr (April 18, 1889 – February 17, 1973) was E. K. Hunt Professor of Anatomy at Yale University School of Medicine and researcher into bio-electrics.
Academic career
From 1916 to 1956, Burr published, either alone or with others, ninety-three scientific papers.
In 1932 his observations of neuro-cellular proliferation in the amblystoma led him to propose "An Electro-Dynamic Theory of Development" for which he is now most widely remembered. In 1935 he published (with F. S. C. Northrop) "The Electro-Dynamic Theory of Life" and (with C. T. Lane) "Electrical Characteristics of Living Systems". Burr is noted for his use of the voltmeter to detect the electric potential of the body, first reported upon in his 1936 paper (with C. T. Lane and L. F. Nims) "A Vacuum Tube Micro-voltmeter for the Measurement of Bio-electric Phenomena". Burr proposed the term "L-Field" for the bio-electric fields of living systems.
In 1942, Burr measured the output of electric current by growing corn and reported "electricity seems to bridge the gap between the lifeless world and living matter... electricity is one of the fundamental factors in all living systems just as it is in the non-living world.

Burr's book, The Nature of Man and the Meaning of Existence (1962) was an attack against materialist philosophy. In the book Burr wrote there is order in the universe, unity in the organism and man is endowed with a soul. His book Blueprint for Immortality, published late in his career though he based it upon work carried out over decades, contended that the electro-dynamic fields of all living things, which may be measured and mapped with standard voltmeters, mold and control each organism's development, health, and mood. He named these fields fields of life or L-Fields.
Burr compared the L-field to the entelechy of Hans Driesch and the morphogenetic field of Hans Spemann and Paul Weiss. Burr used the L-field to explain cellular differentiation and the form of living organisms. According to writer Ruby Khoo in the New Straits Times, Burr's theory has been rejected by "most scientists."

SPOKANE, Wash. — Vice President Mike Pence’s visit to Spokane tomorrow will make eight vice presidents to have visited the Lilac City. Dick Cheney was the last to make it out in 2006. That means it's been 12 years since Spokane has hosted a sitting president or vice president.
The first presidential visit came in 1903. it was Teddy Roosevelt it was part of a tour of the American west. The next three presidents all came to Spokane as well, William Howard Taft., Woodrow Wilson and Warren G. Harding.
The next president, Calvin Coolidge, didn't make it to Spokane, but his Vice President did.
The next visit was from Franklin D Roosevelt, he actually came to see the construction site for the Grand Coulee Dam. The dam would eventually become part of his New Deal.
Roosevelt’s successor, Harry S Truman, came to the area three times, and his Vice President came once.
No visits from Dwight D Eisenhower, but one from his vice president, Richard Nixon.
Nixon came again fourteen years later, as president, to open Expo 74. His Vice President, Spiro Agnew, made the trip three times.
Jimmy Carter came next, once in 1978 then again in 1980 after Mt. St. Helens erupted.
Ronald Reagan came to campaign for former senator Slade Gorton, and George H.W. Bush came several times while he was Reagan's Vice President.
Vice President Al Gore came during the Clinton era, and the last president to visit Spokane was the George W. Bush back in 2004.
Dick Cheney also came two years later.
In total, that makes 11 presidents and 7 vice presidents to visit Spokane through the years.

Within 12 months, it had sold around 50,000 hardbacks in the UK; in the U.S. sales were more than one-third of a million. It became a phenomenon.
