That guy on tv-news at 4 PM specifically says the law goes into effect on June 04, 2024. After some research, I discovered that it actually goes into effect on 06/06/2024. I listened to it again at 5 PM but didn't hear mention of 06/04/2024. Certain that's what I heard though

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane Falls Boulevard Pride crosswalk has been vandalized again, this time by being set on fire.
According to the Spokane Police Department (SPD), someone vandalized the rainbow crosswalk in front of Riverfront Park at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Thursday morning. According to police, video surveillance shows multiple people dumping liquid on the mural before setting it on fire. One of the suspects reportedly videotaped the vandalism.
