England -- Playing The Palace: Royal Open House Has Begun

LONDON - Like many of her noble subjects, Britain's Queen Elizabeth II is bowing this summer to the sometimes cruel realities of modern economics.
Over the years, most of the stately homes in Britain have admitted the paying public to help finance upkeep. The list includes parts of Windsor Castle and the Princess of Wales' ancestral estate, Althorp House.
But never - until now - has the world's most famous royal residence and headquarters of the British monarchy been opened for public tours.
For eight weeks (beginning yesterday), however, that all is changing as Buckingham Palace hosts an anticipated 450,000 visitors willing to pay an adult admission of $12 for a peek at 18 of the more than 600 rooms in the palace.
The queen's motive for inviting the public to view the sumptuous staterooms of Buckingham Palace is a variation on the one that has opened all those other stately homes: She hopes to help pay for restoration of Windsor Castle, which was badly damaged in a fire last November.
The mother of all queues
The decision is being widely applauded here as giving her subjects a chance to see their monarchical heritage up close. And the anticipated lineup for the 7,000 tickets to be sold daily is already being referred to as "the mother of all queues."
"It's going to be the No. 1 attraction," said Isabel Coy, an official with the British Tourist Authority. "It's our living heritage. The real Royal Family runs a business from there. It's only open for a limited time, so there's a sort of exclusive cachet."

That location for UFP outside Chicago, on Enterprise Drive, is right next to interstate I-88.
Could that be a detail created for my memory because of "Let's see if you bastards can do 90."

What that makes me think of is that scene in the factory at "Parker Datalink" in the 1994 film "Timecop."
Did not UFP have another building nearby but in the nearby town of Elmhurst? I have the sense that we referred to UFP being located in Elmhurst but this Oak Brook location was there, too.

The company Universal Financial Products was listed on my social security documents as being located at Enterprise Drive, Oakbrook Illinois and that is right next to the Ronald Reagan Memorial Tollway I-88 interstate highway.

That name doesn't seem to have been applied until after his death in 2004 and is because it passes near his birthplace.

That point where UFP was located at 620 Enterprise Drive is very close to where I-88 seems to end, although the highway continues as I-290 and is labeled as the Dwight D. Eisenhower Expressway.

As for my home that I can't remember, that would make sense why I have had the same dream over and over for the past decade. The dream is always the same in the theme and the location, but the details change a little bit every time. The theme of the dream is that one day, I suddenly find out that I still own a house that I used to live in near Greer, SC. On a sidenote, I moved to Greer and bought that house in Country Club Estates, after I moved from Central, SC, while I was still working for UFP. Any fan of Tom Clancy, such as me, can tell you that "Admiral Greer" was the one who recruited "Jack Ryan" into the CIA. Anyway, in the dream, I would suddenly find that I still had that home to go back to, which was great to know because I really missed the place. It was a very peaceful location and I really enjoyed living there. It was always the same in the dream. I could go back there anytime I wanted, even that very minute, and go home. Over and over I dreamed that I could go home at that very minute to that place I had forgotten about but that had not forgotten me.

It seems important that my work history, earnings document, whatever it’s called, doesn’t list Ketterman’s Inc of Dallas. Instead, it has ISA-ISS listed for the times when I worked for Ketterman’s. I assume that is standard procedure because ISA-ISS bought out Ketterman’s who then ceased to exist. It seems like it is an important clue but I don’t know exactly what it means.
I also find it curious that the street address for ISA-ISS in Alexandria, VA
The detail is reinforced by the fact that universal Financial Products, or U.F.P., is listed as 620 Enterprise Drive. Not sure if Oakbrook, IL, means anything.
The next regular employer is listed as Eagle Business Systems which was in Columbia, SC.

The U.S. military DD-214 form that I received from the official personnel records center contains a primary specialty number of 1189, which was created for this official federal undercover identity I am still using. Subtracting 59 from 1189 produces 1130, which is the billet number for a regular commissioned U.S. Navy officer with the U.S. Navy SEAL qualification. The middle sequence of my Social Security Number is '17,' where "Q" is the 17th letter of the alphabet and it is also the U.S. Navy AQD code for Special Warfare.

This is the company on my work history document I got from the Social Security Administration a couple years ago. I noted that UFP reminded me of "United Federation of Planets" from the "Star Trek" television series. The company I worked at before them was in Alexandria, Virginia, and the initials ISS reminded me of the International Space Station. After that was a company named Eagle in Columbia, South Carolina.

Biltmore Estate
Biltmore House is a Châteauesque-styled mansion near Asheville, North Carolina, built by George Washington Vanderbilt II between 1889 and 1895. It is the largest privately-owned home in the United States, at 175,000 square feet (16,300 m2) and featuring 250 rooms. Still owned by one of Vanderbilt's descendants, it stands today as one of the most prominent remaining examples of the Gilded Age
In an attempt to bolster the Depression-driven economy, Vanderbilt's only child, Cornelia Stuyvesant Vanderbilt, and her husband, John Amherst Cecil, opened Biltmore House to the public in March 1930. Family members continued to live there until 1956, when it was permanently opened to the public as a house museum. Visitors from all over the world continue to marvel at the 70,000 gallon (265,000 litre and 265 cubic meter) indoor swimming pool, bowling alley, early 20th century exercise equipment, two-storey library, and other rooms filled with artworks, furniture and 19th-century novelties such as elevators, forced-air heating, centrally-controlled clocks, fire alarms and an intercom system. The estate remains a major tourist attraction in Western North Carolina and has over 900,000 visitors each year.
The grounds include 75 acres (30 ha) of formal gardens, a winery and the Inn on Biltmore Estate, a AAA four-diamond 213-room hotel.

Party starts for Clinton's presidential library

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Top Clinton administration officials, both Presidents Bush, rock stars and ordinary admirers of Bill Clinton turned out today to pay homage to "a man of compassion" at the opening of the Clinton Presidential Center.
An estimated 30,000 guests were on hand for the dedication of the $165 million glass-and-steel home of artifacts and documents gathered during Clinton's eight years in the White House.
