(from internet transcript)

Lloyd, tape and monitor all transmissions. Ops, I want a closer look on all air, surface and subsurface contacts within 250 miles of this ship. Dick, put some tankers and a medium-sized strike force on a 30-minute alert.

Aye, aye, sir.

Any questions?

Skipper, the ship is still at general quarters. Request permission to go to condition 3.

Granted. I'll be on the Bridge. I want answers.

SPOKANE, Wash. — A commute through downtown might become easier thanks to the upcoming reopening of the Post Street Bridge. The reopening is set for Wednesday. June 5.

The Post St. Bridge, which was built in 1917, has been under construction since 2020.

"It's been a long four years. You know, a couple of those years of construction were during COVID," said Kirstin Davis, the City of Spokane Public Works Communication Manager. "So, you know, that was a little bit of a challenge."

According to Davis, the bridge will feature a northbound lane to connect Post St. with Lincoln. It will also have pedestrian and bike lanes, along with the installation of planters and benches.

"It's just a really great opportunity to get from downtown and the park to that North Bank where, you know, we've seen so much development," Davis said.

The City of Spokane isn't the only one excited for the bridge's reopening. Davis told KREM 2 that it will help the area's businesses.

"It's really going to help and, you know, there's some businesses right there along Lincoln Street, Anthony's and Mobius, you know, they've really been at a disadvantage for these last four years," Davis said.

KREM 2 spoke with management at Anthony's at Spokane Falls, which sits right next to the construction project. According to Anthony's, they saw less traffic come through their doors thanks to both the project and the COVID-19 pandemic. The roadwork, they said, made it difficult for customers to get into the restaurant's parking lot.

The Post St. Bridge is set to reopen on June 5.

The Final Countdown (1980)

I have a reconnaissance report coming in now, sir.

Flight level 250. Camera rolling. There doesn't appear to be any damage. Seems to be some unusual shipping traffic. I'll make another pass for a close-up series.

Travelers (2016) s01e03

"Aleksander"

(from internet transcript)

The new traveler was supposed to give us our next mission.

Well, plans change.

You know, we could still go to the T.E.L.L. and save the guy from getting hit by a bus. That's what happens to the host actually, now he's some poor guy, after 21:33.

Protocol 3, Philip. We can't interfere.

[Philip.]: Two minutes ago, we were interfering a lot.

A traveler was going to take over a man's life Because the Director had plans for the new traveler.

The host was going to die either way.

Not "was going to". "Is". It hasn't happened yet. All we have to do is drive by and say, "Hey, man! Look out for the bus!" And he gets home to his wife tonight.

All right, Philip, that's enough. You know better.

Yeah I know better.
