I may be experiencing something similar to what the character Denzel Washington portrayed in this movie had to endure. I can't remember a lot about this movie, but I remember that he was drugged and video taped with a prostitute. That prostitute wouldn't work with me though because who cares if Kerry Burgess paid to get laid. Why would anyone go to that much trouble to set me up? I am nobody, or at least, Kerry Burgess is nobody. And then there is the fact that while I may have amnesia and may have forgotten my real identity, I am not stupid. At worst, I suffered from serious depression for a few years after what seems to have been the divergence point, the point where I began to believe in the Kerry Burgess identity and I became consciously unaware of my life as Thomas Ray, if I ever did have that life. As I look back, I am certain it was Bruce Willis’ movie “Unbreakable” that started my recovery to Thomas Ray, which I still don‘t consciously remember, but that I do believe I used to be and that I believe I will become again. I attribute the same feeling to the character Denzel Washington portrayed in “Manchurian Candidate.“ Something about those movies struck chords in my mind and my real identity as Thomas Ray began to assert itself more in my personality, or so my theory goes. Maybe Denzel is the step-father of one of my children and that is why I “remember” that my mother, Thedia, was married to Denzil. It was Denzil’s initials of D.D. that got me thinking it was a symbolic connection to Defense Department, while mom’s initials T.N. represented The Navy and then Thedia was The D.I.A. Anyway, the only real change though was probably in the reduction of depression. There is also the theory, which I believe is reasonable as fact with all considered, that I was given a false identity so that means someone out there, well, cares about my well-being. Conversely, this is not about an exercise where my team can demonstrate that they can rescue me. Based on the theory I have developed, while I don’t actively believe I am an active duty member of the military and I am not presenting myself as an active member of the U.S. military, the concept to understand though, is that if I was an active duty member, we are fighting men. When the terrorists attack us, we are not waiting-to-be-rescued men. And there is also the fact these terrorists, such as Microsoft/Corbis, are working to endanger my family and I will not let that happen. As for that prostitution angle, it is something I would avoid knowing who I really am, even though I know it is legal in Nevada, but that is just because I want to avoid tabloid journalism and considering my true identity, I would be very much a target of tabloids. Even as Kerry Burgess I had limits I would not cross even though avoiding tabloids were far from driving my conscious actions. But this reinforces my theory about why Kirk Tavener showed me that pornographic video. Something about a compromising situation that he could use to make money, either by selling on eBay or by using it in the future to extort money from me. What Tavener was doing was basically the same of those trying to steal my identity, such as Microsoft/Corbis, George W. Bush, and their accomplices. So anyway, I started off to describe what I refer to as my "Iron Eagle" theory. I was shot down shortly after that movie released in 1986 specifically to make those events happen to me, among other reasons. Something about how the terrorists were probably going to create for me the kind of conditions we portrayed about me in the movies. I can't quite articulate what I want to describe about all that though and it took us a while to figure that out. It's all jumbled up in my mind. But I think the character Denzel Washington portrays in this movie is important and I just can't articulate what it is I need to say. I heard a clue the other day that reinforces the part about how he gets help from a drug dealer, although that does not specifically apply to me. Since I am being pursued by a deranged lunatic though, who knows what can happen.
Major themes of Ricochet include revenge, obsession, and the rapid social and professional rise and fall of an individual based on chance and circumstance. Blake makes this clear in his revealing dialogue to Styles, pointing out that when the two of them were young and ambitious, one "took off, and lit up the sky like a meteor" because he had met the other. In many respects, Styles and Blake are complementary characters, with each in turn confronting the other in service of revenge. Blake spends years in prison obsessing over Styles, and, as his plan unfolds, Styles himself begins to appear to be losing mental composure and rationality under the stress. When they fight on the tower, Styles says to Blake: "I've got to thank you, Blake. Going insane, it's strangely liberating."
Ricochet could be construed as a social commentary as well. As Blake's plan begins to unfold, Styles' reputation is quickly tarnished by a credulous media, eager for any hint of scandal. While the media had earlier made Styles a hero, it quickly turns to make him appear deranged and corrupt. As Styles is African-American, Ricochet could be construed as a specific criticism of perhaps the easy readiness of society and the media to believe and propagate allegations and stereotypes of scandal or criminal behavior involving African-Americans.
Related to this commentary, but containing a more universal message, is the movie's denouement. As Blake's plan gradually destroys Styles' reputation and causes him to be pursued by the criminal justice system of which he had been a part, his only escape comes through enlisting the aid of his old friend, who has become a criminal. This conveys a message that one should not forget one's roots, background, and friends and that the professional and social contacts and culture that one may find are likely to be disloyal under pressure (though, at the same time, the fact that Odessa is a criminal and drug-dealer could be criticized as well for promoting another stereotype).
I was thinking again earlier about a theory that was reinforced when that guy shot up the Tacoma Mall. It is undoubtedly no coincidence that he is connected to what I was saying to that really obese guy in a Microsoft conference room just before I left Microsoft. The guy was making some idiotic comment about how he would go to Iraq if he was called, but of course that wasn't going to happen because he was too damn fat, and secondly, as with the so-called Microsoft Office "Delta Force," they were all talking a lot of shit but were really just a bunch of cowards, like George W. Bush. They talk a lot of shit but only cause more problems In that conference room, I used the analogy that if someone in Tacoma shot someone, would you put everyone in that town in jail, or something like that. But that overall theory is that Microsoft/Corbis has been working to preemptively kill my credibility, or even better kill me dead, for their upcoming criminal trial. The notion is that Microsoft/Corbis gets all these people with little credibility to start saying similar things I am saying, but all those other people are saying it in the media, thus influencing any potential jury pool, before I go onto the witness stand and point out Microsoft criminal activities. The jury associates what I say with what all those other people with little credibility have been saying. For example, if they can associate me somehow with that Maldonado character, then my credibility is reduced to a certain extent.
This next illustration reminds me of something I was puzzling over the other day. I remembered when Jeremy Rule used to talk to someone near my cubicle at Bellevue and I think it was Laura Miller. Jeremy Rule is the “Wesley Crusher” look-a-like and this particular clue was before I really knew him. I knew who he was but I don’t think I had ever talked to him. That “clone” effect was going on even back in that time and I have written about it but I don’t want to get off on that tangent right now. This one time, I guess it would have been in the year 2000 judging by our office location, he was going on about a new jacket he had which featured the logo of some professional wrestling organization and I think it was the WWF. Maybe it was in that Microsoft licensing plan where they were distributing products associated with my stolen intellectual property, as they continue to do to this day. While “media only” could refer to a version of the product that was sold without the box, this may actually reflect some kind of treachery where they were selling intellectual property stolen from me to the media, such as news outlets, tabloids, etc. I found two different release dates for this product and it was 3/30/2001 and 6/11/2001. I’m guessing it was first released on 3/30/2001, which is 17 days or 0.59 months after 3/3/2001, but then re-released for some reason, on 6/11/2001, which is 59 days after 4/14/2001.

And as all you zombies out there know from all these years, my professional technology focus was on Microsoft Office, especially developing software solutions for Microsoft Word. In 1999 in a Presentation Skills class at Microsoft, that was taped, I used Microsoft Word as the basis for my presentation about programming solutions for Microsoft Word.
Another theory that I have written about extensively is that I survived a crash in an L-1011 aircraft on 6/27/94. In the following year, Microsoft Windows 95 was released on 8/24/95. The date difference of 6/27/95 to 8/24/95, inclusive, is 59 days. The date 6/27/95 would be the one year anniversary of that crash I am either starting to actually remember or that I am just imagining.
The date 3/24 is precisely in between the dates 3/3 and 4/14. For example, the period 3/3 to 3/24 is 21 days. The period 3/24 to 4/14 is also 21 days. Also, the time period 4/14 to 6/11 is 59 days, inclusive. I’m not sure exactly why, but I believe that is a very important clue for reasons other than I have already described.
As I analyzed other details in my symbolic memories, maybe that room I had in that trailer near the drive-in theatre in De Queen represents a POW cage in North Vietnam when I was at an equivalent age. I was thinking of that place when I wrote a few years ago about shooting rats in the back of the house we lived in later and how that was "one less of those little bastards we would have to listen to scratching on the walls at night," or something like that. The time back in that trailer when I startled Thedia when I was hiding in that room and she was looking for me may actually have been me trying to escape from the NV. Another time when her husband was spanking me for acting out, that may be me being beaten as a POW by my captors. I had been angry as I was riding in the back of his pickup because I couldn't stay at his parents house. We had been over there to visit, which was the house where they lived in the city as opposed to the one they lived in on the outskirts of town where we lived with them later and I was playing around cutting the grass with the lawnmower wanting to cut some kind of message into the grass that an aircraft could see from overhead. If my “memory” is all metaphor, then why would I have such trivial “memories”? I have been wondering for a while if I knew John McCain when I was a POW in Vietnam, or maybe this is all just imagination. If I did know him, it is probably a time we don’t like to talk much about. But I have been thinking a lot for a long time about how the photos of him from back in that time remind me of a guy I worked with in the Navy. And how is it that I could have such advanced capabilities at that age to even be capable of flying a jet in a war? How is it that at a time when a comet was threatening to destroy all life on this planet, something that had never happened in the history of mankind, that we know of, I was born a few years earlier with such advanced capabilities? Even my children, or at least the people I think are my children where I stopped counting after I identified 11 of them, demonstrate superior capabilities in their respective pursuits. And I am very proud to see how all of them are using their talents.
And when I was writing about Jack London's "To Build A Fire" a while back, does that represent my survival on the Jupiter moon Callisto in 1976? Do I have "memories" of reading that story when I was young because those "memories" are a metaphor for when I figured how to survive on Callisto where the character in London's story did not know how to survive?

This is an excerpt from To Build A Fire that made an impression with me early on and has felt especially relevant for the past few years:

"Random homicide" in morning commute

Ronald Whitehead backed out of his Des Moines garage early yesterday and was heading to Bellevue, where he worked with Boeing's computer systems.
Less than three miles from his home, he was found shot to death, his body pushed from his car and left in the middle of an intersection by an apparent carjacker in what police are characterizing as a random crime.
According to the news article, Whitehead was killed at the intersection of Eighth Avenue South and Des Moines Memorial Drive, near the border between Burien and SeaTac. According to the map, Des Moines Memorial Drive is also Highway 509.
That guys wife was saying almost exactly the same things I was saying in the privacy of my apartment at Limestone Court in Bellevue when my car was stolen back in 2000 or 2001. They didn't even look for my car when I called the Bellevue police out to file a report back then. For three days after the police were at my apartment to file that report, the car had been sitting down on the lowest level of the parking garage because the thieves had not been able to get it started. I also found it suspicious when the second Bellevue cop came out and couldn't get any fingerprints off the car. I have no doubts the terrorist henchman of Bill Gates have infiltrated Bellevue police as well as King County Sheriff's, and probably most of the regional police organizations.
