Subject: Important MISSION Act Information
The MISSION Act strengthens VA’s ability to deliver trusted, easy to access, high quality care at VA facilities, virtually through telehealth, and in your community. That means you get the care and services you need, where and when you need them.
How to access care
Eligible Veterans can use VA health care services nationwide, including through mobile health clinics that serve rural areas and via telehealth (care through a phone or computer).

Enroll in VA health care
To receive care from VA or a community provider, you must be enrolled in VA health care. You can apply online, by mail, or in person. Visit our website to learn more about eligibility criteria and required enrollment documents.

Find VA medical centers or community care providers
Find a VA medical center or approved non-VA medical (called “community care”) providers near you. Get wait times, addresses, and more.

Using non-VA providers
VA provides care to Veterans through community providers when VA cannot provide the care needed. Community care is based on specific eligibility requirements, availability of VA care, and the needs and circumstances of individual Veterans. To obtain community care, you must receive prior approval from VA.
What's changing with the MISSION Act
Beginning June 6, 2019, under the MISSION Act, you’ll have more ways to access health care. This includes within VA’s network and through approved non-VA medical providers in your community, called “community care providers.”

Appointments with non-VA providers
Under the MISSION act, Veterans can expect a variety of improvements to community care. This includes streamlined eligibility criteria, better access to community providers, and streamlined customer service.

Urgent and walk-in care
Your VA health care will now include new urgent care access through a network of walk-in retail health clinics and urgent care facilities. With urgent care, Veterans now have a new option for treatment of minor injuries, such as colds, sore throats and minor skin infections.

Copays and insurance
If you have other forms of health care coverage (like a private insurance plan, Medicare, Medicaid, or TRICARE), you can use VA health care benefits along with these plans.

Veterans get access to urgent care, more doctors starting Thursday under new law
The Department of Veterans Affairs will pay for treatment from non-VA doctors under certain conditions.

Eligible U.S. veterans, starting Thursday, are being granted access to health care at facilities outside of the Department of Veterans Affairs -- paid for by the VA -- under the new Maintaining Internal Systems and Strengthening Integrated Outside Networks Act (MISSION Act). That includes access to urgent care.
According to the Federal Register, the MISSION Act says the VA will pay for covered veterans to have access to non-VA primary care, mental health care, or non-institutional extended care if the average driving time for the veteran to a VA health care provider is 30 minutes, or if the veteran has to wait at least 20 days to see a VA health care provider.
In the case of specialty care, the VA will pay for visits to a non-VA facility if the veteran is unable to schedule an appointment within 60 minutes average driving time or within 28 days of the request.
In addition, the VA says eligible veterans will be able to go to an urgent care provider that is part of the VA's contracted network of community providers without prior authorization from the VA.
"With urgent care, Veterans have a new option for care for the treatment of minor injuries and illnesses, such as colds, sore throats and minor skin infections. The benefit is offered in addition to the opportunity to receive care from a VA provider, as VA also offers same-day services," according to a VA blog.
President Donald Trump signed the MISSION Act into law one year ago.
USA TODAY reports the new rules could increase the number of veterans eligible for private care paid for by the VA from 560,000 to 2.1 million.

When Tavener showed me that video back in July 2002, I told Vince later that I wanted to kick his ass but it would as easy as beating up a little girl and I didn't find any thing comforting about that.

I don't even have access to VA hospital doctors.
I registered somewhere for email updates from them as I was trying to find medical records from 1989 and for 2005.

I was reading through this article on the section about traumatic amnesia and I remembered a car accident I was in when I worked at MP Computers. Now that I think about it, I think the date was April 18, 1997. I remember that date because Richard Molck and I were on the Wainwright during that day in 1988. I remember I had just taken an exam on Novell software and was driving through Charlotte. I was stopped behind a car that was turning. Another car was behind me and a speeding pickup hit it driving it into me and my Jeep Grand Cherokee into the car in front of me. I think I had to get the lift gate replaced, but I didn’t suffer any injuries as far as I can remember, but who knows. That may have been a real memory. I don’t know. My work with MPCSI is confusing in terms of whether it really happened or whether it was an operation while I was with the government. It may be both.

That's why I had that white 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee, as I have noted before. It was white because of the space shuttle orbiter vehicle and it is symbolic of the payload doors because of that rear lifting door of the Jeep Grand Cherokee.
I wonder of that artificial memory of that car hitting me from behind me and causing enough damage the lift gate had to be replaced is represenative of the landing gear door problem on 4/14/1981.

I think that date was 4/18/1997.

PRISONER
CHAPTER 1
THE DOOR
4
The gunslinger could hear a low droning noise. At first he thought it must be the wind or a sound in his own feverish head, but he became more and more convinced that the sound was the sound of motors ... and that it was coming from behind the door.
Open it then. It's not locked. You know it's not locked.
Instead he tottered gracelessly to his feet and walked above the door and around to the other side.
There was no other side.
Only the dark gray strand, stretching back and back. Only the waves, the shells, the high-tide line, the marks of his own approach - bootprints and holes that had been made by his elbows. He looked again and his eyes widened a little. The door wasn't here, but its shadow was.
