The Surface View: Operation Praying Mantis
By Captain J. B. Perkins III, U. S. Navy
May 1989 Proceedings Vol. 115
At the first muzzle flash from the Merrill's 5-inch mount 51, the Iranian 23-mm. gun mount opened up, getting the attention of the ship's bridge and topside watchstanders. The Merrill immediately silenced the Iranian gun with a direct hit, and encountered no further opposition. After about 50 rounds had exploded over the southern half of the GOSP, a large crowd of converted martyrs gathered at the northern end.
At the Sirri GOSP, the sequence of events began essentially the same way they did at Sassan. SAG Charlie gave warnings on time, most of the occupants departed on a tug, and the Wainwright, Bagley, and Simpson commenced fire

“Hell will reign down on them. Glory be to GOD!” Trump posted.
Soon after that, Reuters reported Israeli is preparing to attack Iranian energy facilities “but is awaiting a green light” from the Trump administration.
Trump’s post about many Iranian military leaders being eliminated comes on the 35th day of Operation Epic Fury, which started with joint U.S. and Israeli strikes killing Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on Feb. 28.

Tell me of Linea.
DANIEL
Well, uh, basically, we met her on a visit to another planet, during which we were imprisoned, unjustly, and Linea helped us escape.
KE'RA
Surely there is nothing wrong with that, if you were imprisoned unjustly.
DANIEL
Well, she was imprisoned justly. It was only after we escaped that we learned this nice, older lady we thought Linea was, was in fact a very, very bad, older lady, who had committed terrible crimes.
KE'RA
What crimes?
DANIEL
She created a plague that almost wiped out an entire people. They called her the Destroyer of Worlds.

Donald Trump brands US a ‘third-world hellhole’ run by ‘perverts’ and ‘thugs’
Graeme Massie and Alex Woodward
Sat, July 15, 2023 at 6:21 PM PDT 4 min read
Donald Trump branded the US a "third-world hellhole" run by "perverts" and "thugs" in his latest 2024 campaign speech, a rambling, nearly two-hour long set of remarks to close out a right-wing conference in Florida.
The one-term president told the Turning Point Action Conference on 15 July that the American dream was "dead" under Joe Biden as he relentlessly mocked his predecessor and painted a bleak picture of a nation in decline.
"The election will decide whether your generation will inherit a fascist country or a free country, " Mr Trump told the right-wing activist conference.
