I've written before about that astronaut statue on the river in downtown Spokane
He was lost with space shuttle Columbia in 2003.
Spokane's only real, official USA NASA astronaut is Anne McClain.
Before her, there was that guy immortalized with that statue next to the performing-arts center there by the river, at the venue where Richard Nixon opened Expo '74 in downtown Spokane.
If Spokane were a vibrant, growing city then the town that Michael Anderson was from would be referred to as a suburb of Spokane.
First time I ventured into downtown Spokane, that I can recall, was a couple years earlier. I've made several posts before about these topics
I was compelled suddenly one day to travel there for the first time on bicycle.
Back on the bad old good 878 Days, I had once traveled by bicycle from Spokane Valley towards downtown Spokane but I didn't travel all the way there because the paved recreation trail stops along the way, back then, as now. I didn't have a map that day back then in 2004 and I didn't feel like trying to figure out my way to downtown so I turned around and went back to the Crossland, with the rest of my training activity on the easy route from Spokane Valley east toward the state-line.
On 08/25/2017, I got there, looked around, and came back here to my apartment, with the high-ceilings, that makes this tiny apartment seem larger than that crap-shack I lived in a few years before here, but is still one of the smallest place I've lived, especially for so long, since my honorable discharge from US Navy enlisted.
I looked around that day, but what I did not on 08/25/2017 take notice of was that astronaut statue.
I mean, I captured images of myself sitting there on the steps leading down into the river and that statue is almost directly behind me.
Being my first time to stop there, my gaze was fixed to my right-side
In the deep shadows, that astronaut statue was to my left-side and apparently I did not even look in that direction.
A few months later, I was back in downtown Spokane for the snowfall and to take a lot of images with my camera and that's when I first noticed it.
But 08/25/2017 was the first time I rode my bicycle (the only means of transporation I own and that I rarely use and have no plans of ever using again) trying to find something I'm not even sure about that needs finding
There must be a reason this all started for me though, there must be a reason I'm finding stuff that seems compelling to find.
Mysterious and extreme circumstances have caused me to exist in these same conditions today, after losing almost everything of importance to me.

Right about that time I made that note in these past few minutes, maybe at the time I was writing that last note, FM 102.5 ran a promo for Pink Floyd and was exactly what I had been thinking earlier, with that spoken dialog about "I was really drunk at the time," that is really compelling to what I was thinking earlier as thoughts were going through my mind and something about how I travel backwards in time and I guess could represent Tom Reagan asking me how I managed to get the time travel portal open the first time and I responded about how I had been drunk at the time.
