My next blog-post here, partially finished at this moment, would continue on a topic established in my blog-post immediately preceding and earlier
BECAUSE I have the constant sense that making too many posts here is pointless - and less-than-pointless, all things considered - if I publish too much and too often
So instead of finishing that next post, one of several in draft, among hundreds others in draft by me, I decided to watch more episodes from season 1 of the Epix video-serial "War of the Worlds", now streaming as MGM+ production
I started on it a few days ago
But now, today, season 1 episode 5 seemed completely unfamiliar
Nothing in my notes about it.
I find references to the very first episode and then the next reference is to episode 8.
Britain's Queen Elizabeth gave rare, television speech that day when I was referring to an episode
The IMDb page doesn't have dates for broadcast in the USA for later episodes from season 1
So if I did watch it - which I struggle now believing that I didn't watch it when it streamed new in the USA on Epix on Amazon Prime Video - then I don't know what the date was
I remember stuff better than this. Almost - almost - seems familiar, but I don't know. Guess it's possible I just wasn't paying close attention to the video and was looking at my other screen at the time
The series is originally a production in France. The premiere date for episode 6 season 1 is 11/11/2019
The broadcast date for that same episode in the United Kingdom is 04/02/2020.
Episode 6 doesn't have a USA release date listed. The listing for episode 1 in the USA is earlier than the release date for the UK. So that's no help in narrowing it down
Episode 5 changed my previous opinion about those robot "dogs". Until seeing episode 5, I thought they were largely useless. Made sense to me they were there simply to distract victims as the guys with rifles shot at them. But nope, the robot-dogs seem to be firing bullets as well and are very lethal. Without bullets, the only way they can get you is if you trip over other dead bodies as they clunk-whir-clang towards you dramatically
