I took note of that announcement from South Carolina because Microsoft Corporation had just transported me from Rock Hill, South Carolina, for that 12/7/1998 start date for my job. Absolutely every aspect of that employment in the Microsoft Bellevue office was arranged by Microsoft. A Microsoft employee contacted me to ask if I wanted to go to work at Microsoft and then Microsoft arranged the interview process. A few years later, as I was still working there at Microsoft Corporation with my official United States federal undercover identity and Microsoft re-issued those security badges. I remember that well because they had a guy named Clarence, who was from Hawaii, sitting directly across the aisle from me in another cubicle and he was one of the people I heard spreading rumors that I was a U.S. Navy SEAL, which I denied. I remember when got that new Microsoft security badge, it had the same photo that was taken of me on 12/7/1998, but it was re-issued
with a red smudge on my forehead.

Reichert says Rahr should be successor

If the Metropolitan King County Council approves Sheriff Dave Reichert's recommended successor, Field Operations Chief Sue Rahr, she will be the first woman to be appointed sheriff in the organization's 152-year history.
Reichert, a Republican who defeated radio talk-show host Dave Ross for the District 8 Congressional seat last week, plans to step down as sheriff on Dec. 31.
He said in a statement released yesterday that Rahr, a 25-year veteran on the force, was "the logical choice" to head the 1,000-employee law-enforcement agency with a $110 million budget.

The Newsletter: Elder Gates weighs in on estate tax
Although he's busy giving away his son's fortune to charities, Bill Gates Sr. found time to co-author a book on why the federal estate tax should apply to rich Americans.
A prominent Seattle lawyer before his son co-founded Microsoft, the elder Gates now leads the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. He also lobbies in support of the estate tax, which faces repeal by the Bush administration, because he believes it's a fair approach for sharing wealth.
In "Wealth and Our Commonwealth, Why America Should Tax Accumulated Fortunes," Gates and co-author Chuck Collins argue that the tax is fair because the rich became so because they benefited from society's economic development and growth. They suggest reforms rather than repeal.
Collins is co-founder of Responsible Wealth, a Boston-based lobbying group. The book is being published by Beacon Press and goes on sale Jan. 16. The book tour stops here in late January.

The widespread disregard for nuclear weapons safety standards by airmen at Minot and Barksdale Air Force bases led to the unprecedented “Bent Spear” incident in which six nuclear warheads were mistakenly loaded onto a B-52 and flown from North Dakota to Louisiana on Aug. 29-30, Air Force officials said Friday after an intensive six-week investigation.
The Air Force relieved the 5th Munitions Squadron commander at Minot immediately after the incident. On Friday, it announced that three more commanders have been sacked.
Five steps to failure
Using the same briefing presented to Secretary of Defense Robert Gates earlier Friday, Newton summarized the five mistakes made by airmen that led to the incident and offered a timeline of events.
The first mistake occurred at the beginning of an operation to transport 12 Advanced Cruise Missiles on a B-52 Stratofortress bomber from Minot to Barksdale, part of a Defense Department program to decommission 400 of these missiles in the U.S. stockpile.
On the morning of Aug. 29, airmen assigned to the Minot weapons storage area were supposed to pick up and transport two pylons to a B-52 assigned to Barksdale. Each pylon is a self-contained package of six cruise missiles that can be quickly mounted to the wing of a Stratofortress. But the pylon had not been properly prepared, and the airmen failed to examine all the warheads on the missiles mounted to the pylons.

Dolly the sheep clone dies young
Dolly the sheep, who became famous as the first mammal to be cloned from an adult cell, has died.
The news was confirmed on Friday by the Roslin Institute, the Scottish research centre which created her.
A decision was taken to "euthanase" six-year-old Dolly after a veterinary examination showed that she had a progressive lung disease, the institute said in a statement.
Dolly became the first mammal clone when she was born on 5 July 1996.

I took note of that announcement from South Carolina because Microsoft Corporation had just transported me from Rock Hill, South Carolina, for that 12/7/1998 start date for my job. Absolutely every aspect of that employment in the Microsoft Bellevue office was arranged by Microsoft. A Microsoft employee contacted me to ask if I wanted to go to work at Microsoft and then Microsoft arranged the interview process. A few years later, as I was still working there at Microsoft Corporation with my official United States federal undercover identity and Microsoft re-issued those security badges. I remember that well because they had a guy named Clarence, who was from Hawaii, sitting directly across the aisle from me in another cubicle and he was one of the people I heard spreading rumors that I was a U.S. Navy SEAL, which I denied. I remember when got that new Microsoft security badge, it had the same photo that was taken of me on 12/7/1998, but it was re-issued
with a red smudge on my forehead.
Back in 1998, Microsoft offered me employment and then made all the arrangements to transport my household possessions, associated with my official United States federal identity, to Bellevue, Washington. Among those official United States identity possessions was a rather beat up burgundy Buick car. The transportation company made detailed notes on the dents and dings in the car, as it had seen better days. A few weeks after started working at Microsoft, I took that Buick over to the Washington State Patrol and a person there seemed concerned because I didn't have any form of license plates on that car.
I was still living directly across the street from the Bellevue Police Department at the time I went to license that burgundy Buick. I remember that Microsoft made arrangements for me to stay in a corporate apartment for the first 30 days and after the end of those 30 days, I found my own place, which was directly across the street from the Bellevue City Police Department.

The villianous character "Knotcher" in the 1986 film "Iron Eagle" must be the cause of the look-alikes I was seeing around me all that time at Microsoft, such as Tom Devey who resembled Colonel Ilan Ramon of the Israeli Air Force, along with Ramona Ramadas. The manager Jerry Boesch always reminded me of Tim Thomerson in that scene towards the end of the 1986 film "Iron Eagle" when he is shot by the sniper rifle fire, which reminds me of the red smudge that Microsoft-Corbis-Al Qaeda modified my security badge photo around the time some other people were spreading rumors that I was a U.S. Navy SEAL, which I denied.
My mere presence must have really struck a nerve among the criminal element that permeates Microsoft and that actively supports that Microsoft-Corbis-Al Qaeda alliance.
George H.W. Bush has also been known to cross-dress, to wear women’s clothes and to create the appearance he is a woman, and he and Bill Gates have much in common.

Another look-alike I observed at Microsoft. Jerry Boesch resembled this actor and Tom Devey, of Microsoft Corporation, resembled Ilan Ramon, along with Ramona Ramadas. There was the time Microsoft had people, among others, such as Clarence from Hawaii, spreading rumors that I was a U.S. Navy SEAL, which I denied. There was Wally Simpson before that spreading rumors that I was a sniper, which I protested. He started work at Microsoft with me and that guy named David who was a Vietnam Veteran, along with that guy named Jeff Johnson who resembled Maria Bartiromo's co-host, which prompted me once to comment to him with one of the more well-known lines from a comedian that went "You can call me Ray, or you can cal me Jay," and so on.

I have been trying to figure out who "Doug's" father looks like in that movie. In that scene where his captors are taking him out to the runway in the truck, he looks like Jerry Boesch, my last manager at Microsoft before Jeremy Rule. I think he was still my manager when Laura Longcore wrote something to me in an email about "borrowing" one of my ideas.
