Only sleep about two hours last night. It's like trying to sleep in a barn here. The only time I sleep soundly is when I haven't slept enough to the point of exhaustion. Had one of those foreign dreams during my nap though. It was simple. It was just an image of a piece of paper with some words on it. It made me think of what I wrote yesterday using the specific word 'communique.' The image in my dream looked like a communique. The words were "from: me" and on the line below: "to: you." There was some other dream manipulation after that but I'm not sure what it was. It was something that I had to concentrate on hard. I wonder if they are planting easter eggs in my mind. I feel like I am in control enough to not let them control me to the point of doing something I don't want to do. But I have done things I don't want to do as a result of their control; I don't want to be homeless for one. And how much more of this manipulation will it take for them to openly control me? Will this dream manipulation make me less in control of my mind or more in control? I just don't know.

I also feel compelled to clarify something about my dream yesterday that I wrote about. The details are kind of fuzzy on this. But it wasn't piles of leaves that I was riding my bike around, it looked like piles of cut grass. As if some tall grass had been mowed and then raked into piles. But that seems out of place considering how I remember other details. Also, I feel compelled to write more about those two workers. I couldn't remember all they were saying, but I remember one word one of them said to the other: money. They were discussing something about me getting money. I have suspected for a long that that is an element in all this; people thinking I have or will get a lot of money and it is their perception that is seriously complicating my life.

Also, it is obvious that I am a control subject in a behavior patterns experiment. I do not appreciate being forced to stand up like some E-5 to a figurative H-bomb test so I can soak up the radiation and smile for the camera. I am an indepedant person with a great deal of initiative and I have a lot of important objectives to meet. So get out of my way and let me get back to work.

Kerry Burgess wrote:
Not sure about this dream from when I finally got back to sleep this morning. I wanted to stay awake to watch the morning news but I was feeling the urge to watch my favorite anchorperson. If I watch her, I am going to talk and who knows how many sociopaths out there are listening to all this. How can this continue??? In this latest dream, there is a recurring theme, lately it always seems to involve sand. Today I was driving a pickup along a road on a sandy hill. I was trying to stop to talk to someone that was walking along. But then I was traveling backwards, down the hill I think. I put on the brakes but I still keep traveling down the hill and away from the person I wanted to talk to. Then I put the transmission in Drive and pressed the accelerator, but all the wheels did was spin and I kept moving fast backwards, I felt frustrated. I eventually stopped and the person I wanted to talk to caught up with me but I don't remember anything after that. There was some other stuff going on, possibly it was dream manipulation to respond to my metaphor about being in an H-bomb experiment. But the recurring theme has something to do with traveling backwards and not being able to stop where I want to. It actually reminds me of controlling a ship, in that it takes time and space to stop one.

Ray Patterson (November 23, 1911 - December 30, 2001) was an American animator.

Patterson was born in Hollywood, California. He began working in animation in 1929 for Charles B. Mintz, where he remained for ten years. In 1940 he moved to Walt Disney Studio, where he provided artwork for Dumbo and Fantasia, as well as several Pluto shorts (Bone Trouble and Pluto's Playmate).

Patterson left Disney in 1941 to work at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, where he was assigned to the Hanna-Barbera unit. Patterson worked with this unit for over twenty years, though he occasionally provided animation for Dick Lundy and Tex Avery's unit. He worked on several Academy Award winning animation shorts: Mouse Trouble (1944), Quiet Please! (1945), The Little Orphan (1948), and Johann Mouse (1952).

Patterson left MGM in 1954 to co-found (with former MGM colleague Grant Simmons) Grantray-Lawrence Animation, which he operated until 1967. GrantRay-Lawrence's early work was providing animation for television commercials, but later moved on to producing such animated television series as Spider-Man and The Marvel Superheroes.

After GrantRay-Lawrence folded Patterson joined his former bosses at Hanna-Barbera, where he worked as a supervising director on several animated television series. Patterson was eventually promoted to Vice President in charge of animation direction, a position he held until his retirement in 1993.

Formica. That might be what I was trying to remember. I think I remember that detail, in the context of my artificial and symbolic memory, because the deck on the USS Stark FFG-31 was melting after the missiles hit the ship. I associated this detail with the sound of deck grinder machinery on a ship of the same class as the Stark. I have been thinking that I was in such bad shape by that time, from a wound I had received months earlier, that I was hallucinating from fever when the missile hit the ship and if I had not been helped by other sailors, I would have not made it out from the fires.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Formica_%28plastic%29

Formica is a brand of composite materials manufactured by the Formica Corporation based in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. In common use, the term refers to the company's classic product, a heat resistant, wipe-clean, plastic laminate of paper or fabric with melamine resin.

The thought occurred to me recently that I would hear a word some point. After I heard that word, when I woke up the next morning, I would have my true memory back. I can't remember now what was the word, or how I even know such a detail, or whether that even means anything.

It is very frustrating that I cannot now remember what that word was. It is there....I just can't remember it. The word doesn't really mean anything in particular, but I am now annoyed that I can't remember it.

After thinking about it for a while, I still can't consciously remember what was that word that was so clear the other day. I guess I must have been dreaming it.

It is as though I am staring at a huge billboard that has that word on it and it is plainly written there in huge letters but I just can't understand what it is I am seeing written there. But I know there is something written there and I know it is what I need to understand in order to get my true memory back so I can go home.

I have been pondering over this notion for a while and I remembered an episode of "Futurama" that seems to be relevant. The original air date of that episode, where the "Bender" character is injured by an exploding bomb he jumped on to protect his comrades, might point back to 4/14/1988, which is the day I have been thinking that I towed away the anti-ship mines that were floating near the crippled USS Samuel B. Roberts FFG-58. I have been thinking I received my last Medal of Honor for towing awaying those mines from hitting the ship again. I have symbolic and artificial memories to support that notion.

This relevant scene also reminds me of when I was poisoned a couple of years ago and was probably less than a week away from dying from the affliction I was suffering.

[Planet Express: Farnsworth's Lab. Bender lies on a table and Farnsworth welds something in his chest cabinet. The other staff gather around watching.]

FARNSWORTH
Well, that's it. Let's reactivate him.

(shouting) Wake up!

[He slaps Bender. Bender yawns and sits up.]

BENDER
Hey, chumps and chumpettes. Did you get the bomb out? Can I go back to saying the word I love to say?

ZOIDBERG
I'm sorry but we couldn't remove it.

FARNSWORTH
It's stuck in there with glue or something.

I don't know.

BENDER
(ironic) Well, this is just great! What's the point of living if I can't say "ass"?

Hey, I didn't blow up! Ass, ass, ass, ass, ass! Alright! I'm back in the saddle!

LEELA
We couldn't disarm the bomb so we reset the word that triggers it.

AMY
It's from the list of words you almost never say.

BENDER
That's using your ass. So, what's the word?

HERMES
We think it's better if you don't know.

BENDER
Oh, come on. I'm not gonna say it. Please?

Oh, is it "please"?

FRY
No.

BENDER
Hm, words I never say. Oh, I know! "Thanks"!

LEELA
Bender, stop trying to destroy the world.

BENDER
Wait, wait, wait, wait. Is it "sorry"?

No. "Funderful"? Uh, "nonalcoholic"?

AMY
Quit it!

FRY
Bender!

HERMES
Stop it, mon!

ZOIDBERG
Enough already!

[Cut to: Outside Planet Express.]

BENDER
(from lab) "Compassion"? "Shrimptoast"?

"Antiquing"? I'm alright!

THE END
