Her six-year struggle began when the developer sued her for defamation for sharing the tax information with the Washington Department of Revenue. Her effort resulted in the nation's first whistle-blower protection laws in this state. Her case is a pillar of the movement against 'SLAPPs,' short for corporate "Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation."

Kazimierz Józef Marian Michałowski (born December 14, 1901 in Tarnopol – January 1, 1981 in Warsaw) was a Polish archaeologist and Egyptologist, art historian, member of the Polish Academy of Sciences, professor ordinarius of the University of Warsaw as well as the founder of the Polish school of Mediterranean archaeology and a precursor of Nubiology.
