Inspector General Act - Establishes an Office of Inspector General within each of the Departments of Agriculture, Commerce, Housing and Urban Development, Interior, Labor, and Transportation, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Community Services, General Services, National Aeronautics and Space, Small Business, and Veterans' Administrations.
Provides for the appointment of each Inspector General by the President, subject to Senate confirmation, without regard to political affiliation and solely on the basis of such appointee's integrity and ability. Stipulates that, while such appointee must report to and be solely under the general supervision of the establishment head, such officer cannot prevent or prohibit such appointee from initiating, carrying out, completing, or issuing subpoenas necessary for any audit or investigation. Authorizes removal of such appointee by the President and requires the President to communicate the reasons for such removal to both Houses of Congress. Subjects such appointees to the Hatch Act prohibitions against engaging in partisan politics.
Makes it the duty of such Offices to direct the auditing and investigation of the programs of the agency in which each such Office is established and to recommend policies to each respective agency to promote the efficiency and economy of and to prevent and detect fraud and abuse in the programs administered by each agency. Directs each such Office to coordinate the relationships between its agency and other Federal agencies, States, and local government agencies in carrying out its mission.

Economic Espionage Act of 1996
The Economic Espionage Act of 1996 (18 U.S.C. § 1831–1839) makes the theft or misappropriation of a trade secret a federal crime. Unlike Espionage, which is governed by Title 18 U.S. Code Sections 792 - 799, the offense involves commercial information, not classified or national defense information.
This law contains two sections criminalizing two sorts of activity. The first, 18 U.S.C. § 1831(a), criminalizes the misappropriation of trade secrets (including conspiracy to misappropriate trade secrets and the subsequent acquisition of such misappropriated trade secrets) with the knowledge or intent that the theft will benefit a foreign power. Penalties for violation are fines of up to US$500,000 per offense and imprisonment of up to 15 years for individuals, and fines of up to US$10 million for organizations,

Bay of Pigs Invasion
The Bay of Pigs Invasion (known as La Batalla de Girón in Cuba), was an unsuccessful attempt by a U.S.-trained force of Cuban exiles to invade southern Cuba with support from U.S. government armed forces to overthrow the Cuban government of Fidel Castro. Professor and the first post-revolution Prime Minister José Miró Cardona was chosen to lead the planned provisional government.
The plan was launched in April 1961, less than three months after John F. Kennedy assumed the presidency in the United States. The Cuban armed forces, trained and equipped by Eastern Bloc nations, defeated the exile combatants in three days. Bad Cuban-American relations were exacerbated the following year by the Cuban Missile Crisis.
The invasion is named after the Bay of Pigs, which is possibly inaccurately translated from the Spanish BahÃa de Cochinos. The main landing at the Bay of Pigs specifically took place at the beach called Playa Girón.

Reports from Cuba say the island has been invaded by counter-revolutionary forces trying to overthrow the country's leader, Fidel Castro.
The only news coming out of Cuba is broadcast by the government-run radio station. All other communications with the island have been cut.
THe first landing is reported to have taken place in the early hours of this morning.
Broadcasts from Cuban government radio appealing for medical help indicate that the raiders have successfully penetrated 25 miles (40km) inland.
They appear to have come ashore on an area of the coast known as the BahÃa de Cochinos, or Bay of Pigs, south-east of the capital, Havana.
There is no indication as to the size of the invasion force, but Dr Castro, in a speech on Cuban government radio, said they are supported by aircraft and warships.
"The glorious soldiers of the revolutionary army and the national militia are battling the enemy at all the points where they have landed," he said.

Even though he's been kicked upstairs, crime keeps happening to newly appointed King County Sheriff Dave Reichert. The busy sheriff sighs and asks, "Why me?"
Last week's incident: On his way home from work, Reichert stopped in Kent for a haircut. Afterward, he was approached by a woman in her late 30s. She said, "I need help. I've run out of gas. I could use a dollar, and then I could get home."
Reichert pulled out a buck and offered to drive the woman to a nearby gas station. She said, "I don't ride with strangers." Reichert explained he was a law officer and would drive her in a police car.
The woman countered that she'd just flagged down a friend and he had offered her a ride.
Sounded odd, but Reichert shrugged and set off for his car. As he was getting behind the wheel, he glanced back and saw the woman had disappeared. Suddenly a car darted out with a man driving. Reichert followed.
The car pulled a U-turn. So did Reichert. Then Reichert saw a pair of eyeballs peering through the rear window.
It was the woman panhandler.
The sheriff kept following, eventually catching up with the couple at a gas station.
When Reichert accosted them, the woman warily asked, "Do you want your dollar back?"
"No," said Reichert. "I'd like to see your I.D." He called for a records check and made an interesting discovery. The guy was clean, but the woman had five outstanding warrants on theft and drug charges.
Reichert patted the woman down, discovering a roll of $1 bills. Within minutes, three other King County patrol cars arrived on the scene.
They had responded after hearing, via radio, that "Car One," the sheriff's car, was involved.
One of the assisting officers told the stunned suspect, "Lady, you've just been arrested by the sheriff."
Chances are the woman wishes she'd picked someone else - anyone else - to panhandle.
Just checking: Gov. Gary Locke's staff yesterday fielded a call to the governor from the White House. Caller was an aide to Hillary Rodham Clinton.
The First Lady had just learned about the governor's middle-of-the-night encounter with a bat. The April 3 incident occurred while the governor was changing his newborn daughter Emily's diaper.

NEW YORK - This being a story about an out-of-towner in New York, let's start with the bottom line: Hillary Rodham Clinton is not running for the U.S. Senate. Not officially. Not yet.
But beginning a two-day flirtation with the city on Wednesday, she played her time here - from the far reaches of Queens to the heart of Manhattan - just like a candidate.
What she offered, gushed a very important fan, City Council Speaker Peter Vallone, came "very close to an open declaration" of candidacy.
Clinton has talked voting statistics with Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan. From Sen. Robert Torricelli of New Jersey, the chairman of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, she has gotten the hard sell as he seeks to line up candidates. She has heard the pleas of union leaders - and party fund-raisers.
But it wasn't until Wednesday that the boomlet got real on the streets of New York - with all the celebrity-sighting glamour that New York can turn out.
From the steps of the Plaza one could barely see the Fifth Avenue display windows of F.A.O. Schwartz, all but hidden behind television satellite trucks parked bumper to bumper.
"I haven't seen so many photographers since the last Victoria's Secret show in the fall," muttered one woman working her way into the Plaza's Grand Ballroom.
"Politics," she said, "is how we get along with one another. Politics in good times and bad times is really the lifeblood of a democracy." And, she said, "Women have taken their rightful place in the political landscape."

But beginning a two-day flirtation with the city on Wednesday, she played her time here - from the far reaches of Queens to the heart of Manhattan - just like a candidate.
What she offered, gushed a very important fan, City Council Speaker Peter Vallone, came "very close to an open declaration" of candidacy.
Clinton has talked voting statistics with Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan. From Sen. Robert Torricelli of New Jersey, the chairman of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, she has gotten the hard sell as he seeks to line up candidates. She has heard the pleas of union leaders - and party fund-raisers.

The Grumman E-2 Hawkeye is an American all-weather, aircraft carrier-based tactical Airborne Early Warning (AEW) aircraft. The twin turboprop aircraft was designed and developed in the 1950s by Grumman for the United States Navy
In United States service, the Hawkeye provides all-weather airborne early warning and command and control functions for the carrier battle group. Additional missions include surface surveillance coordination, strike and interceptor control, search and rescue guidance and communications relay. An integral component of the carrier air wing, the E-2C uses computerized sensors to provide early warning, threat analysis and control of counteraction against air and surface targets. It is a high-wing aircraft with stacked antennae elements contained in a 24-foot (7.3 m) rotating dome above the fuselage.
The continuous improvements in early airborne radars by 1956 led to the concept of an airborne early warning and command and control aircraft. The first aircraft to perform this mission was the Grumman E-1 Tracer (a variant of the S-2 Tracker anti-submarine aircraft), which saw service from 1954 to the 1970s. The E-1's successor, the E-2 Hawkeye, was the first carrier-based aircraft designed from the outset for the all-weather airborne early warning and command and control function.
Since replacing the E-1 in 1964, the Hawkeye has been the "eyes of the fleet." Since its combat debut during the Vietnam conflict, the E-2 has served the US Navy around the world.

The Kingdome was an indoor sports and entertainment arena owned and operated by King County, Washington. The Kingdome received its nickname from King County, and was officially known as the King County Domed Stadium and often called the Dome. Before its destruction it was located at the west end of Seattle's Industrial District, just south of Pioneer Square. The building was completed in 1976 on reclaimed tideflat land formerly occupied by the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway's freight yards. It served as home to the Seattle Mariners baseball team, the Seattle Seahawks American football team, and the Seattle SuperSonics basketball team for several years. The Kingdome was demolished by implosion on March 26, 2000 the implosion was filmed by legendary avant-garde/experimental filmmaker Jon Behrens.
