The sign on the gate in front of "Doc Brown's" house in 1985, which was a different street address than would be his mansion in 1955, which is referenced later as 1640 Riverside, is 1646. When "Marty" gets to the 1955 timeframe, by traveling into the past, the street address of "Doc Brown's" house, since he has the mansion, is 1640.

The license plate has "OUTATIME" on it which reminds me of something I was thinking of a while back. I was thinking that I created the code word "Outasight" to reference my launch into space on 4/12/1981. Sometimes a colleaque of mine from CIA that I knew was training new CIA agents would sit down beside me, probably with the trainee somewhere behind me and in earshot but that I knew to not try to look at so I would not know their identity, and that senior agent would ask me something along the line of "what's the word" as though that was a greeting. One other time before that time in 1981, I responded with "clusterf--k." He asked how I could let that happen so I explained that I was only going where they told me to go. So this time in the days before the first launch of Columbia on STS-1, I told him "Outasight." He asked me if that was one word so I spelled it that way for him. He said he would see me again in the near future and I gave him another code word then.

Martin Crane

Born Martin Crane

30 September 1932

Martin "Marty" Crane is a character on the American television show Frasier. He is played by Lancashire-born actor John Mahoney. Martin is the father of Frasier and Niles Crane.

Two years before the series began, Martin was injured in the line of duty when he was shot after interrupting a robbery attempt in a convenience store. This event is thoroughly explored in the episode "The Return of Martin Crane." In the episode, (through use of a flashback) Martin explains to his partner Frank his frustration with his sons, both of which have become noticeably more distant since the passing of their mother. He also has a pet fish named Eddie, forshadowing his beloved Jack Russell Terrier Eddie, who becomes his closest companion. The episode shows Martin recovering in the hospital after being shot, where he shows hope for being back on the force in a few weeks. Niles visits him, and the tension between the two caused by their drifting apart is obvious. Ultimately the injury damaged his hip, forcing him to walk with a cane for the rest of his life, and to retire from the police force.

TV series 1969-1976

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marcus_Welby

Marcus Welby, M.D. is a popular medical drama that aired on ABC from September 23, 1969 to July 29, 1976.

Robert Young (of Father Knows Best fame) starred as the title character, a family practitioner with a kind bedside manner. As with most medical dramas of the day, the main conflict was between Dr. Welby's unorthodox way of treating patients as opposed to the strait-laced methods of Dr. Steven Kiley (James Brolin). The catch with this particular program was that the roles were reversed in that Dr. Kiley was much younger than Dr. Welby. In the similar series Medical Center, it is the older doctor who is more orthodox and the younger who is radical.

MARCUS WELBY, M.D.

U.S. Medical Drama

Marcus Welby, M.D., which aired on ABC from late September, 1969 through mid-May 1976, was one of the most popular doctor shows in U.S. television history. During the 1970 television year, it even ranked number one among all TV series according to the Nielsen Television Index. As such, it was the first ABC program to take the top program slot for an entire season. The Nielsen data suggested Marcus Welby, M.D. was viewed regularly in about one of every four American homes that year.

The first Space Shuttle mission, STS (Space Transportation System)-1, was launched April 12, 1981, and returned April 14. Space Shuttle Columbia orbited the earth 36 times in this 54.5-hour mission.

Not only was this the first launch of the Space Shuttle, but it marked the first time that solid fuel rockets were used for a U.S. manned launch. It was also the first U.S. manned space vehicle launched without an unmanned powered test flight.

During reentry, a protruding tile gap filler ducted hot gas into the right main landing gear well, which caused significant damage including buckling of the landing gear door.

Bart: Oh, don't look so shocked.

Hibbert: Well, chalk this one up to carelessness on my part.

Gremlins (1984)

Kate: Now I have another reason to hate Christmas.

Billy Peltzer: What are you talking about?

Kate: The worst thing that ever happened to me was on Christmas. Oh, God. It was so horrible. It was Christmas Eve. I was 9 years old. Me and Mom were decorating the tree, waiting for Dad to come home from work. A couple hours went by. Dad wasn't home. So Mom called the office. No answer. Christmas Day came and went, and still nothing. So the police began a search. Four or five days went by. Neither one of us could eat or sleep. Everything was falling apart. It was snowing outside. The house was freezing, so I went to try to light up the fire. That's when I noticed the smell. The firemen came and broke through the chimney top. And me and Mom were expecting them to pull out a dead cat or a bird. And instead they pulled out my father. He was dressed in a Santa Claus suit. He'd been climbing down the chimney... his arms loaded with presents. He was gonna surprise us. He slipped and broke his neck. He died instantly. And that's how I found out there was no Santa Claus.

Apollo 8 was the Apollo space program's second successful manned mission. Its crew – Commander Frank Borman, Command Module Pilot James Lovell and Lunar Module Pilot William Anders – became the first humans to orbit the Moon. It was also the first manned launch of the Saturn V rocket.

After launching on December 21, 1968, the crew took three days to travel to the Moon. They orbited ten times over the course of 20 hours, during which the crew made a Christmas Eve television broadcast

This reminds me of the party around the time of Christmas 1987 for the crew of the USS Wainwright CG 28 in Charleston, S.C.

Thedia and her mother Betty Newman drove out from Arkansas to visit and were guests at the Christmas party, which had a band and dancing. Thedia and Betty were also introducted to girlfriend Amanda Busch, native of Aberdeen, Scotland.

The Commanding Officer of USS Wainwright CG 28 was mingling with the crew and stopped by Thedia's table and they discussed how they both lived in Arkansas, where Captain Chandler was from Blythesville, Arkansas, and Thedia lived at the time in Ashdown, Arkansas.

The USS Wainwright CG 28 deployed a few weeks later to the Persian Gulf with Captain Chandler in command. A few weeks after that, on 4/14/1988, was when the USS Samuel B. Roberts FFG-58 suffered a large explosion that was reportedly an underwater anti-ship mine in the Persian Gulf, while the USS Wainwright CG 28 was on deployment in the Persian Gulf.

Bright Lights, Big City

Michael J. Fox once more makes a courageous effort to shed his nice-guy image in Bright Lights, Big City. Fox plays an impressionable Kansan who comes to the Big Apple to take a job at a major magazine. It isn't long before he falls into the twin traps of drug and alcohol abuse. His only hope for redemption is in the hands of Vicky (Tracy Pollan), the cousin of his scuzzy drinking buddy Tad (Kiefer Sutherland). Jay McInerney's bestselling novel does not translate easily to the big screen, but Fox strives hard to please, as do all of his costars. The white stuff snorted by Fox wasn't really cocaine, but powdered milk. Watch for Frasier's David Hyde Pierce in a small role and Jason Robards in a significant unbilled cameo.

Bright Lights, Big City is a 1988 drama film staring Michael J. Fox, Kiefer Sutherland and Phoebe Cates

Originally from Pennsylvania, Jamie Conway (Michael J. Fox) works as a fact-checker for a major New York magazine, but because he spends his nights partying with his glib best friend (Kiefer Sutherland), he's on the verge of getting fired. His wife, a fast-rising model (Phoebe Cates), just left him; he's still reeling from the death of his mother (Dianne Wiest) a year earlier; and he's obsessed with a tabloid story about a pregnant woman in a coma. The movie captures some of the glossy chaos of the time and of a man desperately trying to escape the pain in his life.

Bright Lights, Big City

BY ROGER EBERT / April 1, 1988

What does cocaine make you feel like? It makes you feel like having some more cocaine. - George Carlin And that is what Jamie Conway feels like, all day, every day. The chasm between his professional existence and his private life is laughable, and it's growing impossible to keep up the charade that he even cares about the things he's supposed to be doing. He works for a high-powered New York magazine, and the only two things that keep him on the job are guilt and the need for money. He needs the money because he puts it into his nose. He needs the guilt because it's his only link to his ambitions.

"Bright Lights, Big City" is the record of Jamie's search for the bottom. It takes place over the course of a week or so, a chaotic week in which people, events and even whole days drift in and out of focus.

He is completely out of control. The irony is that he still looks halfway okay, if you don't look too hard. He's together enough to sit in a club and drink double vodkas and engage in absentminded conversation with transparent people. He drinks prodigious amounts of booze, punctuated by cocaine.

It's hard to classify a guy like this. Is he (a) an alcoholic, using the coke so he can stay awake and drink more? Or (b) a cokehead, using the booze to level off? Those are the two choices on Jamie's multiple-part exam. There are no other parts of his life worth serious discussion. His "life" consists, in fact, of the brief window that opens every day between his hangover and oblivion.

Jamie is played by Michael J. Fox, red-eyed, puffy-faced and trembling with fear every morning when the telephone rings. He once lived in Kansas City and dreamed of becoming a writer, and it was there he met and married Amanda (Phoebe Cates), his pretty young wife. They met in a bar. The movie deliberately never makes clear what, if anything, they truly had to share. In New York, she finds overnight success as a model and drifts away from him. That's no surprise; the movie makes it pretty clear that Jamie is the kind of port where the tide is always going out.

Now Jamie hauls himself, filled with nausea and self-loathing, into the magazine office every day. He works as a fact-checker. He could care less. He had dreams once. He can barely focus on them. One day he's cornered at the water cooler by the pathetic old drunk Alex Hardy (Jason Robards), who once wrote good fiction and knew Faulkner, and now exists as the magazine's gin-soaked fiction editor.

Alex drags Jamie out to a martini lunch, where the conversation is the typical alcoholic mixture of resentment against those who have made it and self-hatred for drinking it all away. Robards has always been a great actor, but there is a fleeting moment in this scene that is as good as anything he has ever done. It is a totally blank look. A moment when we can look into the face and eyes of his character and see that nobody, literally nobody, is at home. It's as if his mind has stalled. By supplementing booze with cocaine, Jamie is going to be able to reach Alex's state of numbed incomprehension decades more quickly There is one glimmer of hope in Jamie's life. He has dinner one night with a bright college student (Tracy Pollan) who is the cousin of his drinking buddy (Kiefer Sutherland). At a restaurant, he goes into the toilet and then decides not to use cocaine: "Let's see if I can get through one evening without chemicals," he muses. He likes her. She is intelligent and kind. Several days later, at the end of a lost weekend of confusion and despair, he looks at himself in a mirror and says, "I need help." He telephones her in the middle of the night. His conversation is disconnected and confused, but what he is really doing is calling for help.

Maybe she can help him, maybe not. The movie ends with Jamie staggering out into the bright dawn of a new day and, in a scene a little too contrived for my taste, trading his dark glasses for a loaf of bread. "Bright Lights, Big City" is a "Lost Weekend" for the 1980s, a chronicle of wasted days and misplaced nights. It was directed by James Bridges, whose "Urban Cowboy" was in many ways an earlier version of the same story. Fox is very good in the central role (he has a long drunken monologue that is the best thing he has ever done in a movie). To his credit, he never seems to be having fun as he journeys through club land. Few do, for long. If you know someone like Jamie, take him to this movie, and don't let him go to the john.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harmon_Rabb

Commander Harmon 'Harm' Rabb, Jr., JAGC, USN (played by David James Elliott) is a fictional and lead character in the American television series JAG.

Harm graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1985. He went on to enter flight school and subsequently earned his gold wings. During his early naval career, Harm flew F-14 Tomcats. After an accident during a night landing on an aircraft carrier, in which his RIO (Radar Intercept Officer) dies, it is revealed that Harm suffers from night blindness (although in later seasons this is proved to be a mis-diagnosis). After graduating from law school at Georgetown University, he was transferred to JAG. After a few years as a Judge Advocate, he goes through laser surgery to correct what was misdiagnosed as night blindness (actually retinal scarring) and resumes his career as a naval aviator.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sahara

The Sahara ( "The Great Desert") is the world's largest hot desert and the world's second largest desert after Antarctica . At over 9,000,000 square kilometres (3,500,000 sq mi), it covers most parts of northern Africa; an area stretching from the Red Sea, including parts of the Mediterranean coasts, to the outskirts of the Atlantic Ocean. It is almost as large as the continental United States, and is larger than Australia.

The Sahara has one of the harshest climates in the world. The prevailing north-easterly wind often causes the sand to form sand storms and dust devils. Precipitation, while rare, is not unknown. Half of the Sahara receives less than 2 cm of rain a year, with the rest receiving up to 10 cm a year

Remarks on the 750th Anniversary of the Founding of Berlin

June 12th, 1987

The President. Well, Chancellor Kohl and Mayor Diepgen, Ambassador Burt, ladies and gentlemen: It's an honor for me to be able to join you today at this 750th birthday party for the city of Berlin. I'm especially pleased to be here today because—well, it's not often that I get to go to a birthday party for something that's older than I am. [Laughter]

But to subject you to a second speech here— [laughter] —you know, I keep thinking of a story of ancient Rome, where, on a Saturday afternoon, the hungry lions were turned loose on the little group of people there on the floor of the Coliseum, and they came charging toward them. And one individual stepped out of the group, said something very quietly, and the lions all laid down. Well, the crowd was enraged and horrified that they're going to be denied the show. And Caesar sent for the man who had spoken to the lions. And they brought him, and he said, "What did you say to them that made them act like that?" And he said, "I just told them that after they ate, there'd be speeches." [Laughter]

Biff Tannen: Just finishing up the second coat now.

George McFly: Now Biff, don't con me!

Biff Tannen: I-I'm-I'm sorry, Mr. McFly. I-I meant I was just starting on the second coat.

George McFly: Ahh... Biff. What a character. Always trying to get away with something. I've had to stay on top of Biff ever since High School. Although if it wasn't for him...

Lorraine Baines: We never would have fallen in love.

George McFly: That's right.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northrop_F-5

11 August 1972 (F-5E)

The F-5A/B Freedom Fighter and F-5E/F Tiger II are part of a family of widely used light supersonic fighter aircraft, designed and built by Northrop in the United States, beginning in 1960s.

The USAF made a combat evaluation of the F-5A under the Skoshi Tiger program in 1965. 12 aircraft were delivered for trials to the 4503rd Tactical Fighter Wing (subsequently the 10th Fighter Commando Squadron), redesignated F-5C. They performed combat duty in Vietnam, flying more than 3,500 sorties from the 3rd Tactical Fighter Wing at Bien Hoa in South Vietnam. Two aircraft were lost in combat. The program was short-lived, more a political gesture than a serious consideration of the type for U.S. service. From April 1966 the aircraft continued operations as 10th Fighter Commando Squadron with their number boosted to seventeen aircraft.

The F-5E eventually received the official name Tiger II.

http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/aircraft/f-5c.htm

F-5C/D Skoshi Tiger

Although all F-5A production was intended for Military Assistance Program [MAP], the Air Force actually requested at least 200 F-5s for use in Vietnam. This sudden request on the part of the USAF -- which had previously perceived no need for a lightweight fighter -- was a result of heavier than expected attrition in Southeast Asia and because the F-5 promised to be available with a relatively short lead time. The single-seater was to have been designated F-5C, the two-seater F-5D. This request was initially turned down by the Defense Department, but a USAF request for combat evaluation in Southeast Asia was approved by the DoD in July of 1965, and the evaluation was initiated on July 26, 1965.

The F-5C was the designation given to the modified F-5A's that were sent to Southeast Asia during the mid-60's for the Skoshi Tiger program, a combat evaluation of the F-5 in Vietnam. The name is a corruption of "Sukoshi Tiger" (Japanese for "Little Tiger").

JOURNAL ARCHIVE: 04/18/07 1:29 AM

I wish I could remember everything from that dream I was just having; there was a lot to it and a lot of different scenes that were interesting.

In one scene that I can only partially remember, I was in a room and it seems there were a lot of individuals in there. Two that followed me out seem to be connected to the South Vietnamese military. One of them was carrying a flag that has the color pattern I recognized on the F-5 fighter jet a while back. But those two weren't people; they were robots or holograms. I don't really know what they were. They were symbols of something and in that case, they were symbols of my experiences in the Vietnam War. Then I was walking into a room with those two symbols. I think one of those symbols actually pointed me to the correct room. I had been standing out in what I visualize as a hallway and I was waiting for someone. I think I was waiting for a meeting with Patrick Stewart. But I had been waiting in the wrong room. I walked into the room he was sitting with some other people and there was someone unexpected about the other people being there with him. I can't visualize any of those other people. I can visualize though that he was wearing the uniform of "Captain Picard" and he flashed me a grin as I walked in and we shook hands. Then we were standing at a conference table in that room and I can't remember anything else about that part.

In another part of the dream, I was riding in the back of a metro bus. There were people on there I recognized from that past few years. I feel there is a lot to that part of the dream I cannot remember. One person indicated he heard I once had lipo-suction and I explained that I had actually had my memories suppressed. I think that detail about lipo-suction is supposed to be a clue to me to represent a conversation I had with someone about 8 years ago and so I would remember that person even though I didn't see her in the dream. There was a lot to that part I cannot remember and I wish I could remember it all. One interesting part of the dream is that I would sometimes see a reflection on the window glass of that bus of a U.S. Navy pilot wearing a helmet and equipment as though he was sitting in the cockpit of an aircraft. I looked around to see where that reflection was coming from, but I never did see that person sitting there on the bus.

Place and date: Quang Tri Province, Republic of Vietnam, 10 to 13 April 1972. Entered service at: Silver Spring, Md. Born: 14 January 1944, Jacksonville, Fla. Citation: Lt. Norris completed an unprecedented ground rescue of 2 downed pilots deep within heavily controlled enemy territory in Quang Tri Province. Lt. Norris, on the night of 10 April, led a 5-man patrol through 2,000 meters of heavily controlled enemy territory, located 1 of the downed pilots at daybreak, and returned to the Forward Operating Base (FOB). On 11 April, after a devastating mortar and rocket attack on the small FOB, Lt. Norris led a 3-man team on 2 unsuccessful rescue attempts for the second pilot. On the afternoon of the 12th, a forward air controller located the pilot and notified Lt. Norris. Dressed in fishermen disguises and using a sampan, Lt. Norris and 1 Vietnamese traveled throughout that night and found the injured pilot at dawn. Covering the pilot with bamboo and vegetation, they began the return journey, successfully evading a North Vietnamese patrol. Approaching the FOB, they came under heavy machinegun fire. Lt. Norris called in an air strike which provided suppression fire and a smoke screen, allowing the rescue party to reach the FOB. By his outstanding display of decisive leadership, undaunted courage, and selfless dedication in the face of extreme danger, Lt. Norris enhanced the finest traditions of the U.S. Naval Service.

Or, regarding the text below, is President Clinton stating for the record that he did not do any of those things Monica Lewinsky said he did and he has witnesses because someone was monitoring every conversation he had with her, such as with the wire he was wearing and or that was present in his office. If someone was monitoring their conversations then technically he was never alone with her.

The security teams would have also been following Monica Lewinsky and documenting her criminal conspirators, as well as the national traitors such as Susan Webber Wright that provided material support to her treason against the United States federal government and who obviously has no regrets about that material support to treason and subversive activity against the United States federal government.

President Clinton would have easily recognized that something was very wrong about what was going on around him and that such a travesty of justice could even proceed as long as it did was a warning in itself.

In April 1999, about two months after being acquitted by the Senate, Clinton was cited by Federal District Judge Susan Webber Wright for civil contempt of court for his "willful failure" to obey her repeated orders to testify truthfully in the Paula Jones sexual harassment lawsuit. For this citation, Clinton was assessed a $90,000 fine, and the matter was referred to the Arkansas Supreme Court to see if disciplinary action would be appropriate.

Regarding Clinton's January 17, 1998, deposition where he was placed under oath, the judge wrote:

"Simply put, the president's deposition testimony regarding whether he had ever been alone with Ms. (Monica) Lewinsky was intentionally false, and his statements regarding whether he had ever engaged in sexual relations with Ms. Lewinsky likewise were intentionally false
