Every sound was cause for alarm. A plane appeared overhead. Was another one coming? No, it was a fighter jet. But was it friend or enemy? People scrambled for their lives, but they didn't know where to go. Should they go north, south, east, west? Stay outside, go indoors? People hid beneath cars and each other. Some contemplated jumping into the river.
For those trying to flee the very epicenter of the collapsing World Trade Center towers, the most horrid thought of all finally dawned on them: nowhere was safe.

Following disagreements between the Basketball Club of Seattle (the former owners of the Sonics and Storm) and the city of Seattle concerning the need to renovate the KeyArena, the Seattle SuperSonics and the Seattle Storm were sold to an Oklahoma City group led by Clay Bennett on July 18, 2006.. Bennett made it clear that the Sonics and Storm would move to Oklahoma City at some point after the 2007-08 NBA season, unless an arena for the Sonics is approved by Seattle leaders before October 31, 2007. During this period of uncertainty, the Storm announced that they will play their 2008 WNBA season in Seattle at KeyArena.
On January 8, 2008, Bennett sold the team to a local group of women called Force 10 Hoops, LLC, pending league approval. The sale was given unanimous approval from the WNBA Board of Governors on February 28, 2008. This keeps the team in Seattle, and disconnects it from the still-unsettled future of the Sonics.

Starbucks, the king of coffee beans, sold its first shares of stock to the public today, and lines were as long as the queues at its 140 locations in seven metropolitan areas.
Starbucks' 2.1 million shares were priced to start trading at $17 a share, but the stock opened $4 higher at $21, and closed at $21.50. At that price, it made Chairman Howard Schultz's 1.1 million shares worth $23.5 million.

Apollonia Vitelli-Corleone is a fictional character in Mario Puzo's novel The Godfather.

I just woke up a few minutes ago from I guess about 5 or 6 hours of sleep. I still feel exhausted. I am now wondering of the series of scenes and images in one dream was actually a representation of my flight into space as the commander of the first space shuttle launch.

There dream, though, seemed to be set on the USS Oliver Hazard Perry FFG-7. I am not certain how I linked that setting to FFG-7 but I am certain I was on a FFG-7 class ship and the notion lingers in my mind that it was the FFG-7.
In a somewhat confusing part, I walked out of a room with two people in it, where a junior person was getting a medal, for someone reason, as I was looking on, onto the weatherdeck. The person who had got the medal, which was a medal I can visualize but that I do not recognize, followed out onto the deck, I think. I can still visualize the calm blue water and also looking out onto the shore and the sky line of some city we were near but that I cannot recognize either after waking up. I do remember that I commented to the other person that I enjoyed being back out to sea, and I feel compelled to note that I might have said to him that I enjoyed especially being out to sea when we we just floating around, as we were then. Then, for some strange reason, I was over the edge of the deck and I was hanging onto the low railing, trying to keep myself from falling over into the water. But the gravity was strange and that might be why that part seems weird, in
retrospect of the dream. I almost want to say that my feet were drifting upwards instead of downwards towards the ocean. I cannot remember what happened next. On one hand, it seems understand that I was hanging onto that railing but I am also somewhat baffled, as I ponder the dream after waking up, why I was even hanging from that railing in the first place.
In another dream sequence, I was on small boat and that sequence is, I think, connected to that first sequence about FFG-7. It seems we had taken a small boat closer to shore but I cannot remember any details to support that notion. I can still visualize some of the scenery but I do not understand it all very well. I do remember another small boat passing us by and I am quite certain that Camilla, Duchess of York, was on it. There is some other detail associated with that observation that I cannot now remember. I can remember there were other people on the boat with her and I assume Prince Charles was there also. Back on my boat, I was talking about some kind of cove that was in the lake or ocean we were on and there seemed to be something important about that cove, in that I wanted to go in there but I don't think we did in that dream. I remember I was trying to describe certain details of that cove to the other person as they would see it while
approaching the cove. At another point, I told someone that I could not remember when I learned to swim. I made some other comments on that topic that I do not remember now.

I remember having dreams when I last slept but I can remember absolutely no details. Except, maybe something to do with my imaginary girlfriend, Lily. For a while I have been wondering if they can also manipulate my half-asleep dreams too. Those are those first dreams I remember having when I am drifting off to sleep. I have never really thought of them as dreams though, rather more like random thoughts that go through my mind as I drift off. Last night, I have two such thoughts that stuck with me when I woke up minutes or seconds later. The first one was of Senator Carl Levin standing in front of me either in an elevator or waiting for an elevator. He said something about how my "reading was correct." The second scene was of Lily telling me of some endearing quality about herself.
This imaginary girlfriend routine is kind of fun, but with all these actors around me, who knows what is the reality. What I really want to avoid is encouraging people to stalk women on TV. No one should take seriously the perceived affections of a person on TV. My hope is that this situation will end soon and then some third person will make arrangements where we can meet and I can determine if this was all my imagination.
Even if Lily is as nice in person as she seems to be on TV, I'm beginning to think I shouldn't pursue it. I've been feeling confident this thing could actually be real, but that is actually a real problem. So many people are watching what I do in private so they can try to mimic my success. If I talk to a pretty woman on TV while sitting in my living room and then end up spending the foreseeable future finding ways to make her smile in a real relationship, then there are going to be other people out there trying the same thing. And after that Tacoma Mall terrorist, I just think this is all a bad idea. As some jerk standing next to me the other day pointed out conspicuously secretive: It sucks to be me. And then there are all these people with the "priceless," "volume down," etc. bullshit.....when does it end? How are they finding out this stuff? Why can't they just all go away and if anybody has to monitor everything I do and write, why can't they just
give that job to Lily? That would be pretty fun.

Prior to the concert, Commander, U.S. Second Fleet, Vice Adm. Evan M. Chanik received a governor and mayoral proclamation for Tucson Navy Week. The week is one of 26 Navy Weeks planned across America in 2007. Navy Week is designed to show Americans the investment they have made in their Navy and increase awareness in cities that do not have a significant everyday Navy presence.
