I would have sworn I had long ago written in my journal about the day Thedia and Denzil got married but damned if I can now find it in my journals. I recall that was the same day that my football team in Ashdown Arkansas was playing against my former football team in De Queen Arkansas. I wrote about how that was a scrimmage game when I was in the 9th grade at Ashdown and we traveled by bus to DeQueen to play them in a pre-season game. Maybe I didn't use the word 'scrimmage' when I wrote about it and now I cannot recall the equivalent word I used. Anyway, I wrote about how the coach eventually became annoyed with me because he was giving me specific instructions during the game when I played as defensive end and I was ignoring our coach and I was just trying to sack the quarterback and I was always unsuccessful and I think the DeQueen team was gaining yards because of me. The game was pointless anyway because it wasn't really even a scrimmage game. I don't think they were keeping score and I think it was all just organized so that one team ran a set number of downs and then the other team did the same. So anyway I was writing somewhere long ago about how I remember that day because I remember that I asked the coach of my 9th grade Ashdown team if I could ride back to Ashdown with my parents. I explained that my mother was getting re-married and I wanted to ride with them instead of traveling all the way back to Ashdown. As I think about it now I think they were getting married in Lockesburg and that is about halfway between Ashdown and De Queen. But anyway that was the same day. We traveled to DeQueen where I played in that football game that was some kind of pre-season game. I didn't play football in the 10th grade so I don't know if that was a normal part of the schedule.

1991: 'Mother of all Battles' begins
The Gulf War Allies have sent hundreds of planes on bombing raids into Iraq, at the start of Operation Desert Storm.
The American, British, French, Saudi and Kuwaiti aircraft took off at 2330 GMT last night.
Their bombs were aimed at military and strategic targets, including an oil refinery and Baghdad airport.
At least 400 raids took place. Latest reports say all the Allied aircraft have returned home safely, although France says four of its planes were hit.
US Defence Secretary, Dick Cheney, said the operation appeared to have gone "very well".
Two hours after the raids began, President George Bush made a televised address.
He said the military objectives were clear - force Iraqi troops out of Kuwait and restore the legitimate government.
In Baghdad, Saddam Hussein remained defiant. He said the "Mother of all Battles had begun". He urged the Iraqi people to "stand up to evil".

Plot Summary
Following Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor, America was rife with rumors about the size of Japan's armed forces and how well-equipped they were to wage war against the U.S. Using animation, the first part of this film dispels these rumors by showing that the U.S. had more raw materials and more fighting ships. The narrator also cautions moviegoers against spreading rumors (which are often initiated by enemy infiltrators to create fear and dissention) and believing everything they read in the newspapers. Just because "they say" something, that doesn't make it true.

There was that time I was riding in the passenger seat as Thedia was driving and we had just crossed over the state line into Oklahoma. We had gone past where those beer joints are at the state line and we were right around that bridge going over a small river. I rolled down the window and tried to throw out a bottle of Coca-Cola that still had a lot of soda in it. But I threw it bottom first and as it went out the window, it drenched me with the soda in the bottle and left me and the car sticky from the soda. I wonder if that is really a "memory" about blood while flying in a fighter jet that was hit by enemy fire.

Plot Summary
The stooges are facing eviction and decide to raise some money by becoming baby-sitters. Their first client is a women separated from her husband, who entrusts her son "Junior" to the boys' care. When The husband steals the baby, the stooges set out to find their missing charge and return him to his mother.
