I just finished taping my favorite show “The Big Idea.” Donny Deutsch has been a huge influence and inspiration to me. I am a true fan of the show and really credit the recent growth of my business to being an avid watcher. (Take note- I am wearing my Big Idea electric pants on the show! See how they match the background? I come up with some of my BEST ideas when I “don” them - - get it?!). It’s Donny this and Donny that. My family is really sick of it! Seriously, it was a real first for me- being interviewed as an entrepreneur.

After having been an actress for years and a then a full-time mom for the last 13 years (and counting) these last few years have been an interesting ride. About 3 years ago I opened my store Blue Tree www.bluetreeny.com- it is a whimsical department boutique filled with interesting gifts, clothing, home items, jewelry, etc. culled from all over the globe. I was really psyched when I was able to bring a lot of items from the store and showcase some of my favorite illuminated, hand-carved Lucite bags by artist Joyce Francis!

Most recently I have been designing and producing all kinds of items exclusively for the store. Next month a pair of Blue Tree earrings are going to be on the cover of O Magazine on Oprah herself! MORE BIG NEWS -- The Moon necklace and charms which I co-designed with the artist Pablo Valencia are debuting in the Neiman Marcus catalogue in a few weeks. I am so excited to be teaming up with Brian Cyntrynbaum of Majestic to launch our first line of clothing this fall!

And last but not least- Blue Tree’s soy based candle has been selling by the truckload- even the Donny Deutsch producers are burning them in the green room as I type this! I love my new life as a shopkeeper. I am a real people person and love the fact that after years of acting out “roles” (even the role of Phoebe Cates, the actress), I can now be completely myself. My fabulous and glamorous store manager, Ivana, and I (along with the rest of our lovely staff) love nothing more than greeting customers- helping them find the perfect gift for a friend or helping them put together a kick- ass outfit.

Anyway- I agree with Donny when he says “Just do it!” It worked for me- so for all you budding entrepreneurs out there- what’s taking you so long?

When I left the ship, we were anchored off the coast and they took me into port in the Captain's gig. I was very hung over. Then they took me to the airport, in Toulon I think, and I had to ride in the back of the mail truck, sitting on boxes. From there, I took off one a military flight, but they landed shortly after take off because of some mechanical problem and I was stuck there for a long time before we took off again. There is also some memory here about Sicily, but I'm not sure what that is about, I had to stay there for a while, there is almost something like a pleasant memory that won't come up to the surface associated with that time. There was something there about being by myself.

A year ago this week he was sitting up and looking out the window of a United Airlines DC-10—an ex-Navy pilot, he believes the bent-over "crash position" is useless—when the plane hit the ground at Sioux City, Iowa, and started to cartwheel down an airport runway. "It seemed like we skidded forever," Martz remembers. "Then came the sound of metal tearing and screeching. You couldn't hear people sounds. It was like being in the middle of a drum." Moments later, the 59-year-old cable-TV executive from Castle Pines, Colo., unscathed but for a dirty shirt, dropped from the smoking, overturned plane into a scene out of Dante. "It was like I was all alone, except for these bodies strewn all over this muddy cornfield. And I thought, 'Where is everybody? I can't be the sole survivor.' "

Stampede Pass





I must have been lying in bed for over four hours last night and could not fall asleep for that much time and longer because I started thinking during the night last night that Stampede Pass is where I materialized after the L-1011 Stargazer spiraled down from over forty thousand feet after breaking into pieces and then crashed with such force that it virtually vaporized on contact with that ground. I started thinking of how that scene with "Picard" and his wife announcing that dinner was ready could be a detail I created to represent the details I read about the source of the name for Stampede Pass, as well as how "Kirk" mentions that he smell something burning in the kitchen. I thought over many details last night as I hoped to fall asleep and I was thinking of how the dialog with the statue in the 1996 film "Star Trek: First Contact" is about how after I understood that my aircraft was unflyable because, for one reason, a wing had just broken off due to impact with debris from the Pegasus rocket that had just exploded in front of my windshield, I was turned around part ways in my seat as the pilot and I had my had outreached to shake the hand of Kerry Burgess and I spoke that flying with had been an honor but the aircraft was spinning too fast for us to shake hands. When I materialized at Stampede Pass I felt as though I had materialized about one inch or two above the ground and I found myself standing there in the woods on that dirt road with absolutely no idea where I was and I was standing there with my hand still reaching out to shake his hand.

Stargazer





Strange how I decided to watch one of these episodes for the first time in recent memory and how this was the episode I chose to watch today. What this reminds me of is that story about how I survived the crash of the L-1011 "Stargazer" on 27 June 1994 because I was propelled through the windshield as I was the pilot of the aircraft. The reality is the none of us actually survived the crash. The aircraft hit the ground at a tremendous speed after spiraling from forty feet above the ground and was virtually vaporized upon impact. I am the recipient of some kind of highly advanced technology that allows me to reemerge in physical form after my physical body is destroyed and I did reemerge that day but after about two days had elapsed in the real world and I was over a thousand miles from the crash point. There is some kind of force that controls that advanced technology that controlling force makes changes to the reemergence process and that was why I did not immediately reemerge.

The past.





I started having thoughts, beginning yesterday I feel certain, about specific details about when I travel into the past and that occurrence is due to happen sometime in the future from this present day.

I started thinking that there is a group of people out there today who meet me as travel from the future of this present time to that past time of the year 2005. They knew where to meet me because I gave them instructions before the year 1998 and that is why they will be there when I jump back into the past at some time in the future from today.

I have been thinking about how I was annoyed when I arrived at my destination in the mountains near Shelton and there was a group of people camped out at a place I wanted to go to. That was why I was feeling annoyed. That was my destination from a prearranged plan. I was annoyed because they were not supposed to be there or I was annoyed because their presence indicated that the plan required me to struggle along more just for my very survival, as I had to do.

That creek meant something. I have been thinking about how the "James Cole" character was at a creek in the 1995 film "Twelve Monkeys" and of how the police were arriving. That is why I was there at the creek. I am the arriving police at that prearranged place. I will go back there from this present day future to that past date and my other self will be there and my future self of this present time will be there and something is supposed to happen there. That is only one of the events that will happen after I start to time travel though and as I travel in the past from a point in the future of this present time I will see past self is already there. That is why I was so overwhelming certain that something was supposed to happen. I kept waiting for something to happen but then nothing happened and that was driving me crazy. Nothing does happen for that past version of myself but what I was expecting to happen is something I will see after I travel into the past from a point in the future of this present time.

`Souls' Of Flight 232: A Year After Crash -- The 184 Who Shared A Miracle Try To Escape The Memories

Capt. Alfred Haynes, his doomed jetliner wallowing all over the Iowa sky, responded to an air-traffic controller in the time-honored jargon of his aviation fraternity. There were 296 ``souls on board,'' including his own.

On a sweltering Wednesday afternoon last July 19, they all rode a 168-ton flying brick down into a cornfield at 200 miles an hour. In the flame and dust unleashed when the DC-10 cartwheeled out of control, 112 of the souls on board United Airlines Flight 232 were lost.

But 184 survived. And as they prepare to return to Sioux City for a memorial service Thursday, they struggle with unanswerable questions about life and death, guilt, nightmares, physical injuries that may never heal, strained relationships with people they love, and memories that deny them a single good night's sleep.

They shake at some of life's simplest events, afraid that a highway bridge might fall on them, frightened by the sound and smoky smell of a child's cap gun, convinced that a washing machine has an electrical short that will cause a fire.

Mary Kahl couldn't feel comfortable at work for six months. Paul Olivier, like many other survivors, won't fly on a DC-10. William Robertson drew up a list of things he wants to do in life. Jerry Schemmel quit his job - too many reminders. Rod Vetter fears driving into downtown Chicago. What if a car jumps a guardrail into his lane?

``My life is never going to be the same,'' says Upton Rehnberg, 53.

They question why they lived, when so many others died. They meet in groups to grieve, they call each other at 3 a.m. to sob, they savor a unique joy with the coming of new mornings, the sight of sunsets. Their very survival is a shared miracle.

``On the plane as we were going down, it didn't matter how rich or how poor you were, what color you were or what your religion was, where you came from or where you were going,'' says Garry Priest, 24, of Denver. ``We all drew strength from each other, we were all in it together. As the plane crashed, everybody was special.''

The DC-10 was headed to Chicago from Denver when it attempted an emergency landing at the Sioux Gateway Airport. The jet flipped once and burst into flames. Forty-five minutes before impact, the crew had lost all steering control when the tail engine shattered, spewing out titanium fan blades and chunks of metal that severed hydraulic lines.

Many victims were trapped in the charred fuselage. Some, dazed and burned, walked or crawled to safety. Others, still buckled in seat belts, were found in 4-foot-high corn.
