SHEPPARD: Aggressive little bastards.
(Carson, who was looking at a screen, suddenly turns his head and gazes at nothing as if lost in thought. Rodney notices this.)

SHEPPARD: How would you know how you looked?
McKAY: ‘Cause it's happened more than once in front of a mirror, OK? (He turns back to Carson.) Carson, what is it?
BECKETT: I don't know about brilliant, but it just might ... Excuse me.

McKAY: What are you doing?
(He hurries after him. John waits until they're out of the room and he's alone with Elizabeth, then turns to her.)
SHEPPARD: You know, if Carson's right and you can hear me, I suppose I should say something profound.

I am also ruining the future for women that I show an interest in while I am being held hostage. It doesn't matter if I have a relationship with any of them, as long as their is some perception in the future that I was interested in them they are going to be subjected to this same kind of craziness, epsecially if they are pregnant at some point in the next few years. Those kids are going to be hounded regardless of whether they are mine. This is insanity. If anyone has been talking about romantic relationships between me and any woman, I am sorry for just now figuring this out. I certainly wouldn't wish this on anyone except for my worst enemies, such as Bill Gates, but certainly not you.

The camera pans over a bed to reveal Doctor Elizabeth Weir lying asleep, covered by a white sheet and blue blanket. She opens her eyes, looks around as if confused, and pushes the bedclothes down to reveal that she is wearing white hospital pyjamas. She sits up and looks around the room. It's a stark white hospital room with little furniture in it -- only the bed, a plastic chair and a drinking water fountain. Behind the bed, sunlight streams through the blinds of the window. Elizabeth gets out of bed and turns to the window as the sound of an ambulance siren can be heard in the distance. She walks to the window, reaches out and widens the gap between two of the slats in the blind to look outside. We can see little of what she sees but there is a red brick building opposite her room. Wherever she is, it definitely isn't Atlantis. As she lets go of the slats, she realises that she has a plastic medical bracelet around her wrist. She looks at the writing on it for a moment, then turns and looks around the room again. Walking across to the door, she tries to open it, only to find it locked. She looks through the window in the door and sees a long corridor. She bangs on the door.
WEIR: Hello?
(A man in a suit and a female nurse come around the corner at the far end of the corridor and walk briskly towards her room. As they reach the door, Elizabeth backs away from it as the man takes out a bunch of keys, unlocks the door and comes inside.)
FLETCHER: Good morning, Doctor Weir. I'm Doctor Adam Fletcher.

The SALMON, STERLING and STERLING HE explosions were conducted in the Tatum salt dome near Hattiesburg, Mississippi between 1964 and 1966 with the objective of evaluating the effectiveness of cavity decoupling in reducing the amplitude of the radiated seismic signal from underground nuclear explosions. The first of these tests was SALMON, which was a fully coupled 5.3 kt nuclear explosion conducted at a depth of 828 m on October 22, 1964.

I have thought again several times about that memory of getting my red Ford stuck in the mud. It was on that underground pipeline near where I shot that 9-point. I can almost picture my pickup sitting there up to the fenders in the mud. That is the time I had to walk out of the woods to find someone to pull me out. It was pitch black that night and I only knew I was on the road by the sound of the gravel crunching under my boots. I had to walk several miles like that. I have been wondering if that actually represents something about the flight back from Osirak in 1981. I'm wondering if I ran out of fuel, landed, found more fuel, and then took off again to return to the Israeli base. I remember how Michael told me that mom thought I was dead out there somewhere. I told them I was going to a different place to hunt so when they decided I was missing, they were searching the wrong area. They had a lot of people out looking for me. I remember mom was crying. I was expecting to be grounded, as that happened a lot, but they let me hunt the next day. I guessed they had really believed I was dead and was too relieved to punish me for being late as they were quite strict about me returning when they wanted me back.

Thinking about STS-1, assuming I was there.
There was that traffic accident in my Ford Explorer pickup in 1986 in Terra Haute, Indiana. I was turning left and a car hit me square on my right wheel, remarkably causing no body damage and only flattened the tire. The impact twisted the truck around and I almost hit a light pole but I regained control and ended up on the sidewalk. An observer said she was speeding. I was traveling from Orlando to Great Lakes.

Then I looked closer at the DD-214 and wondered about the details. I was most interested in the “Military Education” section, which is box 14. I was wondering why the 19 weeks of “C” school was turned in to 91 weeks. Then I started wondering if there is a date in there somewhere. That is also the period I am associating with being captive and then missing in Africa. The form has the following information in it:

I noticed a date could be formed from the course duration numbers and that yielded: 12/23/91. I can’t think of anything special about that date. I do remember though that on 12/23/01 was the date of that first bicycle crash I had where I separated my shoulder. As for that specific date, I can’t remember anything particular. I am pretty sure that on 12/25/91, though, I was over at Tracie’s house to meet her parents.

I seem to recall I was there with 30 days leave before I made the drive out to Virginia Beach, Virginia, for my next school.
I can still "remember" the drive from Chicago to Arkansas after I graduated from that school. I had traded in my 1978 Ford Explorer pickup for a brand new 1986.5 Nissan XP Hardbody pickup. I "remember" the summer was very hot in Chicago that year because it did not have an air conditioner.

You know, if you embrace my theories the way I do then I am actually not surprised there are NOT overt signs of cornfields in this film, I think to myself writing this sentence as I have the DVD paused to make this note. Then just before I was about to make this post I thought back to the scene of "Angel" caressing the statue of Jesus Christ in the church, and I barely recall that brief scene but I recall the smirk on her face and I think again about how seriously annoyed I was with the mannequins I kept seeing but my real-life companion in that world did not see mannequins but actual mechanized beings and they told her to not tell me they were mechanized and I did not know about that until she told me about it in the real world.
I mean sure, I think now remembering what I had wrote earlier in my blog about the cornfield. I was on that flight, while everyone else had ducked and covered and I was still sitting up so I could maintain custody of the prisoner, then everything went kind of fuzzy for a second, even more so, and then the quietness was staggering. I have written about that before, that sense in my mind of sudden quietness, and that was me sitting precisely as I had been on the airplane and there was nothing around me but tall stalks of corn and I was still sitting in the same airplane seat but I was all alone in that cornfield and it was suddenly blaring and maddenly blaring quietness. It drives me crazy now just trying to thing again about that.

Freaked Out "Under the Dome" Monday - 01 July 2013
I didn't think I would ever get to sleep today. I had been awake pushing on to 24 hours and then I was lying in bed and I still couldn't fall asleep.
I did finally fall asleep and then I awoke a few hours later and I woke up after a while and I was trying to remember any dreams I had while asleep to that point. I did dream about something but I couldn't recall even the most vague detail about them and I still cannot. And I still feel pretty lousy. And damn my left shoulder has been brutalizing me for several days now. Just a dull ache and that does not seem to be joint pain.
I had several other sleeping dreams today but I cannot recall any of them.
The only sleeping dream I had today that I can now recall seemed to happen just before I awoke and got out of bed and sat down here at my desk.
In the dream I was in a room that I was aware at some point that was some kind of immigration processing center.
The point in the sleeping dream I can start to recall details about is when I sat down in a chair and there was activity on both sides of me.
There was a woman I was vaguely aware of and there seemed to be another on the other side of me and the activity seemed to be similar to a dentists operating room or a hair salon.
I was sitting there waiting on something and then I decided I should get up and walk around because I think I had to check in somewhere, to become registered on a waiting list or something. I was there for a reason and I seemed to be there in an immigration facility.
I could see that I started walking through a wide hallway, a passageway in a building and there were a lot of people in there.
I found the end of the line and I got in line. A woman walked up behind me and the line behind me rapidly extended as other people got in line.
Then I walked out of the line. I was looking for food. I walked around the busy hallway and there were a lot of people and I was looking at signs on doors but I didn't see anything I recognized.

Stargazer
Strange how I decided to watch one of these episodes for the first time in recent memory and how this was the episode I chose to watch today. What this reminds me of is that story about how I survived the crash of the L-1011 "Stargazer" on 27 June 1994 because I was propelled through the windshield as I was the pilot of the aircraft. The reality is the none of us actually survived the crash. The aircraft hit the ground at a tremendous speed after spiraling from forty feet above the ground and was virtually vaporized upon impact. I am the recipient of some kind of highly advanced technology that allows me to reemerge in physical form after my physical body is destroyed and I did reemerge that day but after about two days had elapsed in the real world and I was over a thousand miles from the crash point. There is some kind of force that controls that advanced technology that controlling force makes changes to the reemergence process and that was why I did not immediately reemerge. Until 1998, every time I reemerged after my physical body was destroyed, I always returned as the exact same person I was before, with knowledge in my mind up to the very second that my physical body was destroyed.
My return in 1998 was different though. I returned but I am a composite version of Tom Reagan and Kerry Burgess. I am not as tall as Tom Reagan and I am as tall as Kerry Burgess but I do not have the physical scars of Kerry Burgess, such as the gunshot wound scar he had on his shoulder.

Star constellations
I wasn't going to write about a dream I just before waking up and getting out of bed but I was later in the shower and I started thinking about a possible explanation for the star pattern I saw in my dream and so I decided to write about that part and to try to write the least about the rest of the dream as I could, which I feel compelled to not write about for no real reason.
The compelling part about the dream is the pattern of stars I saw. The dream seems to have started with me and I was out in the woods somewhere and the light was dark and I had some kind of ability to radiate laser beams from my fingers or somehow create laser beams. As I think more about that as I write this now I thing again that I did not actually see the laser beams but I am vaguely aware that I could see the patterns I created on people with the laser beams. The notion of the laser beam is never really visually established in the dream but that is a notion that is strongly in my mind after waking up. The last thing I seemed to do with my laser beam power was that I saw myself form a pattern of stars on the ground to my left. The power seemed to stop working at that point. I also found my puzzled about how there were five stars in my creation when I expected only four. Since I was wearing those stars on the epaulet on my black jacket then I was thinking of how the United States Marine Corps has never had a five star general officer and I don't think the USMC should ever have a five star general officer.
What I puzzled about was how the pattern of those stars did not seem consistent with how an officer of the United States military would wear a five-star pattern on his uniform. I seemed to be wearing the winter working dress uniform of the United States Navy. What was unusual was how one of the stars was set away from the other four stars.
When I was in the shower and was thinking about that visualization in my mind of those stars that I had created on the ground and then was wearing my shoulder, on the black jacket that is the type United States Navy sailors used to refer to as the "Eisenhower" jacket, I wondered if that pattern was supposed to represent the star constellation we call the Big Dipper.
Ah, yes. That has got to be it. Just now as I wrote that word "Big Dipper" I remember dialog that happened soon later that is consistent with that notion.
So going back to what I was thinking as I decided to write this note, I thought about how my visualization of the star pattern did not match the Big Dipper very well. But then I started to wonder if I was seeing the pattern of the Big Dipper while I was standing on a planet or moon that circled a star that was very distant from our planet Earth.
I keep thinking of reasons why that all could be just a normal dream. But maybe it is not.
After my laser beam power stopped working, I saw some of the people I had been forming laser beam patterns on and they were all getting into cars and leaving in a long procession of army-type vehicles. They all seemed to be from World War 2. I noted the color pattern of one of the vehicles but I cannot think of any comment to make about it.
Then I seemed to be a sentry on a hill in downtown Seattle Washington. I was aware that I was totally alone in my role. I was also aware I was wearing a United States military uniform but I cannot visualize any details about it from the dream. I was there for a long time. Some kind of conflict started among a few local people that had walked up and I was trying to stay out of it. The next part I remember from the dream is that I was sitting in a room and there were people around me and one was the old woman whose dialog is consistent with the notion that I was seeing the star pattern of the Big Dipper constellation. Then a woman stood up and she was also wearing the winter dress uniform of the United States Navy and I saw the postal clerk rating symbol on her uniform. Then I saw a person walk into the room I was in from the room next door with the half-window walls and where I had been aware that a conference was going on that all of us had been waiting for to get finished and that person who walked out of that room was a person that I understood in the dream to by my brother Thomas Reagan and he seemed to be about eight years old. He was also wearing the winter working dress uniform of the United States Navy and I noticed just after I saw the woman's rating symbol that he was also wearing the postal clerk rating symbol. But he had the E-1 rate white symbol patch on one sleeve and the E-2 rate white stripe patch on the other sleeve, which is definitely not a uniform standard of the United States Navy. After thinking about that after waking up I decided that detail is supposed to represent the E-1 and E-2 aircraft of the United States Navy.
As he walked up to me, I asked him where he had been because I have been standing on that hill everyday. There was some unspoken dialog about me having food during that time.
There was some other stuff that happened in the dream but I decided to end this note with his response to me about how he had heard I had picked up more stars. I distinctly remember his words to me at that point. He asked me "Is it worth it?"
At that point, I took off two stars from the jacket epaulet on my shoulder, which seemed to be the type used for award stars on United States military medals and ribbons, and I was aware that left me with three stars on my shoulder.
So as I was wondering after getting out of the shower is that I could have just had a normal dream. But I could have just dreamed that final star symbol I need.

She knew she was sick. She wasn't sure how much, but Mary Bannister knew that she didn't feel well. And through the drugs, part of her worried that it might be serious. She'd never been in a hospital, except once to the local emergency room for a sprained ankle that her father worried might be broken, but now she was in a hospital type bed with an IV tree next to her, and a clear plastic line that ran down into the inside of her right arm, and just the sight of it frightened her, despite the drugs going into her system. She wondered what they were giving her. Dr. Killgore had said fluids to keep her hydrated and some other stuff, hadn't he? She shook her head, trying to get the cobwebs loose enough to remember. Well, why not find out? She swung her legs to the right and stood, badly and shakily, then bent down to look at the items hanging on the tree. She had trouble making her eyes focus, and bent closer, only to find that the markings on the tag-tapes were coded in a way she didn't understand. Subject F4 stood back up and tried to frown in frustration but didn't quite make it. She looked around the treatment room. Another bed was on the far side of what appeared to be a brick partition about five feet high, but it was unoccupied. There was a TV, off at the moment, hanging on the far wall. The floor was tile, and cold on her bare feet. The door was wood, and had a latch rather than a knob - it was a standard hospital door, but she didn't know that. No phone anywhere. Didn't hospitals have phones in the room? Was she in a hospital? It looked and seemed like one, but she knew that her brain was working more slowly than usual, though she didn't know how she knew. It was as if she'd had too much to drink. Besides feeling ill, she felt vulnerable not in total command of herself. It was time to do something, though exactly what she wasn't sure. She stood there for a brief time to consider it, then took the tree in her right hand and started walking for the door. Fortunately, the electronic control unit on the tree was battery powered and not plugged into the wall. It rolled easily on the rubber wheels.
The door, it turned out, was unlocked. She pulled it open, stuck her head out, and looked around the door frame into the corridor. Empty. She walked out, still dragging the IV tree behind her. She saw no nurses' station at either end, but did not find that remarkable. Subject F4 headed to her right, pushing the IV tree ahead of her now, looking for-something, she wasn't sure what. She managed a frown and tried other doors, but while they opened, they revealed only darkened rooms, most of them smelling of disinfectant until she got to the very end. This door was labeled T9, and behind it she found something different. No beds here, but a desk with a computer whose monitor screen was on, meaning that the computer was powered up. She walked in and leaned over the desk. It was an IBM-compatible, and she knew how to work those. It even had a modem, she saw. Well, then, she could do what?
It took another couple of minutes to decide. She could get a message off to her father, couldn't she?
Fifty feet and one floor away, Ben Farmer got himself a mug of coffee and sat back down into his swivel chair after a quick trip to the men's room. He picked up the copy of Bio-Watch he'd been reading. It was three in the morning, and all was quiet on his end of the building.
DADDY, I'M NOT SURE WHERE I AM. THEY SAY I SIGNED A FORM ALLOW THEM TO SIGN ME IN FOR SOME MEDICAL TESTS, SOME NEW DRUG OR SOMETHING BUT I FEEL PRETTY CRUMMY NOW, AND IM NOT SUREW WHY. THEY HAVE BE HOOKEDUP TO A MEDICAION THING THATS PLUGGED INTOMY ARM, FEEL PRETTY CRUMMY AND I-
Farmer finished the article on global warming, and then checked the TV display. The computer flipped through the operating cameras. showing all the sickies in their beds-
–except one. Huh? he thought, waiting for the cameras to flip back, having missed the code number for the one with the empty bed. It took about a minute. Oh, shit, T-4 was missing. That was the girl, wasn't it? Subject F4, Mary something. Oh, shit, where had she gone to? He activated the direct controls and checked the corridor. Nobody there, either. Nobody had tried to go through the doors into the rest of the complex. They were both locked and alarmed. Where the hell were the docs? The one on duty now was a woman, Lani something, the other staff all disliked her 'cause she was an arrogant, obnoxious bitch. Evidently, Killgore didn't like her either, 'cause she always had the night duty. Palachek, that was her last name. Farmer wondered vaguely what nationality that was as he lifted the microphone for the PA system.
"Dr. Palacheck, Dr. Palachek, please call security," he said over the speaker system. It took about three minutes before his phone rang.
"This is Dr. Palachek. What is it?"
"Subject F4 has taken a walk. I can't spot her on the surveillance cameras."
"On the way. Call Dr. Killgore."
"Yes, Doctor." Farmer called that number from memory.
"Yeah?" came the familiar voice.
"Sir, it's Ben Farmer. F4 has disappeared from her room. We're looking for her now."
"Okay, call me back when you find her."

Yes, fans, the latest humongous Clancy doorstop of a book - at 752 pages, a veritable Cortez Kennedy among action-thrillers - officially hits stores tomorrow.
There are many stupid people in the world, however, and Clancy has a field day with a bunch of environmental extremists who are the chief (though not only) villains of "Rainbow Six." These wackos have concocted a biological blowout more deadly than anything Saddam Hussein could ever contrive, an apocalypse that will heal Mother Nature
The extremists of "the Project" first manifest themselves in a puzzling series of terrorist strikes
Could these incidents be related? That's the question John Clark ponders, but all Clancy fans know the answer: You bet your nuke-launching sub they're related.

Skip Bannister had been worried for some time. He hadn't wanted his daughter to go off to New York in the first place. It was a long way from Gary, Indiana. Sure, the papers said that crime was down in that dreadful city on the Hudson, but it was still too damned big and too damned anonymous for real people to live in especially single girls. For him, Mary would always be his little girl, remembered forever as a pink, wet, noisy package in his arms, delivered by a mother who'd died six years later, a daughter who'd grown up needing dollhouses to be built, a series of bicycles to be assembled, clothes to be bought, an education provided for, and then, finally, to his great discomfort, the little bird had finally grown her feathers and flown from the nest-for New York City, a hateful, crowded place full of hateful, obnoxious people. But he'd kept his peace on that, as he'd done when Mary had dated boys he hadn't been all that crazy about, because Mary had been as strong willed as all girls her age tended to be. Off to make her fortune, meet Mr. Right, or something like that.
But then she'd disappeared, and Skip Bannister had had no idea what to do. It had started when she hadn't called for five straight days. So, he'd called her New York number and let the phone ring for several minutes. Maybe she'd been out on a date or perhaps working late. He would have tried her work number, but she'd never gotten around to giving it to him. He'd indulged her all through her life maybe a mistake, he thought now, or maybe not-as single fathers tended to do.
But now she was gone. He'd kept calling that number it all hours of day and night, but the phone had just kept ringing, and after a week of it he'd gotten worried. Another few days and he'd gotten worried enough to call the Police to make a missing person's report. That had been very disagreeable event. The officer he'd finally gotten had asked all manner of questions about his daughter's previous conduct, and explained patiently after twenty minutes that, you know, young women did this sort of thing all the time, and they almost always turned up safe somewhere, hey, you know, it's just part of growing up, proving to themselves that they're their own persons. And so, somewhere in New York was a paper file or a computer entry on one Bannister, Mary Eileen, female, missing, whom the NYPD didn't even regard as important enough for them to send an officer to her apartment on the Upper West Side to check things out. Skip Bannister had done that himself, driving in only to find a "super" who asked him if he was going to take his daughter's stuff out, because he hadn't seen her in weeks, and the rent would soon be due…
At that point Skip-James Thomas-Bannister had panicked and gone to the local police precinct station to make a report in person and demand further action, and learned that he'd come to the wrong place, but, yes, they could take down a missing person's report there, too. And here, from a fiftyish police detective, he'd heard exactly the same thing he'd listened to over the phone. Look, it's only been a few weeks. No dead female of your daughter's description has turned up-so, she's probably alive and healthy somewhere, and ninety-nine out of a hundred of these cases turn out to be a girl who just wanted to spread her wings some and fly on her own, y'know?
Not his Mary, James T. "Skip" Bannister had replied in a calm and unlistening policeman. Sir, they all say that, and in ninety-nine out of a hundred cases-no, you know, it 's actually higher than that-that's how it turns out, and I'm sorry but we don't have the manpower to investigate all of these cases. Sorry, but that's just how this sort of thing works. So, why not just go home and wait for the phone to ring?
That he'd done, and driven all the way back to Gary in a rage that grew out of his panic, arriving, finally, to find six messages on his answering machine, and he'd run through them quickly, hoping to-but not finding one from his missing daughter.
Like most Americans, James Thomas Bannister owned a personal computer, and while he'd bought it on a whim and not really used it all that much, this day, like every other, he turned it on and logged onto the Net to check his e-mail. And finally, this morning, he saw a letter in the IN box from his daughter. He moved his mouse, clicking on the letter, which sprang into life on his RGB monitor and
–now he was truly panicked.
She didn't know where she was? Medical experiments? Most frightening of all, the letter was disjointed and poorly written. Mary had always gotten good marks in school. Her handwriting was always neat and easy to read. Her letters had been like reading stories in the morning paper, loving, of course, and clear, concise, easy to read. This could have been written by a three-year-old, Skip Bannister thought. Not even typed neatly, and his daughter knew how to type well-she'd gotten an "A" in that class.
What to do now? His little girl was missing… And now his gut told him that his daughter was in danger. His stomach compressed into a knot just below his sternum. His heart speeded up. His face broke out in beads of sweat. He closed his eyes, thinking as hard as he could. Then he picked up his phone book. On the first page were the emergency numbers, from which he selected one and dialed it.
"FBI," the female voice said. "How can I help you?"

WEIR: I negotiated that treaty well over two years ago.
FLETCHER: No ... three days ago. (Elizabeth stares at him.) Since then you've been here, in a severely depressed and near-catatonic state.
WEIR: No! No ... (she leans forward in her chair) I was in my office, and I was reading over a mission report, and ...
(She trails off as Fletcher's eyes flicker again and he looks uncomfortable. Elizabeth stands up, looking around at the chair and the desk.)
WEIR: This ... this can't be real.
FLETCHER: Doctor Weir, I assure you, it is real.
WEIR: OK. OK, then, yes, there is somebody I need to speak with regarding the treaty ... right away.
LATER. A pair of feet wearing highly-polished shoes walks along a corridor. We switch to a close-up of the man's shoulder -- he is wearing dress blues with two stars on the shoulder. He walks into the Rec Room of the hospital where Elizabeth is sitting on a sofa looking down at the floor. As the man approaches her, she looks up and gets to her feet, smiling.
WEIR: Oh, thank God.
(We see who the man is. It's none other than General Jack O'Neill.)
WEIR: General O'Neill.
[See, told you.]
O'NEILL (smiling at her): Doctor Weir.
WEIR: Thank you so much for coming. Hopefully you'll be able to help sort out this entire mess.
O'NEILL: Anything I can do to help.

GROUP THERAPY ROOM. Elizabeth and Fletcher and five other patients are sitting in a circle. Elizabeth looks bored. Fletcher addresses an elderly lady who, when she speaks, has an English accent.
FLETCHER: Have you gone out to the garden today?
ENID: No. I was going to, but they're out there, so I decided it would be better to wait.
FLETCHER: The others?
ENID: Yes. Four of them.
FLETCHER: Did they see you?
ENID: Of course. They were waiting for me. (She smiles around the circle.)
FLETCHER: Did you speak to them?
ENID: Yes. I told them what you told me to say: that my blood isn't theirs for the taking.
FLETCHER (smiling at her): Good for you, Enid. That was very brave.
(Enid smiles in delight. Elizabeth sits up in her chair, taking notice for the first time.)
WEIR (to Enid): Excuse me. What others?
ENID: The invaders, dear, from one of the moons of Saturn. They're cold-blooded, you see, so they need our warm blood for theirs. You have to be very careful.
(Elizabeth smiles at her politely.)
ENID: Doctor Fletcher doesn't think they're real, but I know the truth.
