This Is What I Think.

family-day

I have noted this excerpt before because it caught my attention when I realized that this day was my birthday and it is when I think I was a POW in Libya. Reading through the entire speech, I couldn't reconcile why he would make such a gloomy reference to the dedication of a soldier's cemetery. That Gettysburg speech is highly renowned, and I can "remember" memorizing it in my artificial and symbolic memory, but it seems an unusal context for refering to the dedication of a soldier's cemetery.

JOURNAL ARCHIVE: 9/16/2006 7:25 PM

I can only guess I was a captive in Africa at the time of this speech, which would have been my 27th birthday. I need to think more about any memories I have about Kerry Burgess’s 27th birthday. Anyway, I wonder if my captivity is reflected in elements of this speech as I have wondered about others. If I really am his grandson, it would make sense that my situation would show up in here. Or the speech is literally about the guy he was speaking of, I just don’t know.

Remarks at a Dinner Honoring Senator Paul Laxalt of Nevada

March 3, 1986

Well, Paul, Senator, I hope you'll forgive me for having a little fun here tonight. The truth is, ladies and gentlemen, this isn't the easiest set of remarks that I've ever been asked to give. And that comes from someone who's had to give a fair number of speeches. Come to think of it, Paul, you've probably had to sit through more of them than either one of us wants to admit. And I know that finding the right word or expression can oftentimes mean the difference between hurting or helping, between doing this job well or not so well. But sometimes the words just aren't there. The task is really impossible. I guess that was what Lincoln felt at Gettysburg. He knew there are occasions when words must be brief because the feelings are so deep, and this evening is one such occasion.

Now I know why I felt compelled to go see “The Incredibles.” It was obvious to me that it was relevant to me somehow, but only with these recent revelations do I see just how relevant it is. I identified with some of that characteristics and details of the lead character, consciously and subconsciously, except that I was completely obvious on a conscious level about my life as a father. The villain is obviously Bill Gates, or rather, Bill Gates is obviously that kind of character.

Release date November 5, 2004

I’m pretty sure that release date is incorrect though. I was still living in Spokane when I went to see it. In November 2004, I was living in Kent.

If she really is my daughter, and I hope she is as well as the others I have mentioned, I can certainly relate to this. I was probably the same way in my previous life. The primary reason we wanted to keep my accomplishments secret, such as going to Mars, was so that my kids would not have to grow up in that shadow. They had a better chance of developing their talents in their own right than having to do so with the weight of the spotlight from being known as the child of the first person on Mars, if that even happened.

I never had idols or role models; I wasn't that kind of girl. I never was striving to achieve female goals. I was just trying to be the best that I could be. I don't like to put parameters on my goals; I just like to take everything as far as I can. I learned from people that I knew along the way, but I didn't have somebody that I wanted to be like. I wanted to be the first Danica, not the next somebody else.

I have been feeling comforted today by the memory of Lesa Jewell and my hypothesis of what and who she represents. As I wrote earlier, I think she is the “Back To The Future” equivalent of Marty McFly’s mother. If any of this is true, she represents my grandmother, Jane Wyman. I think it is humorous to compare my memory of Lesa Jewell kissing me the first and only time outside the skating rink one time when we were in high school. It reminds me of that scene where Marty’s mother kisses him when he is back in 1955. In my memory, I can see a resemblance between Lesa Jewell and Jane Wyman. I have also thought several times of how curious it is that Emmet Brown asks Marty, in 1955, if Jane Wyman is First Lady although Reagan had actually married Nancy in 1952, according to sources.

Civil War scholar James McPherson's review of Wills' book addresses the parallels to Pericles' funeral oration during the Peloponnesian War as described by Thucydides, and enumerates several striking comparisons with Lincoln's speech.[11] Pericles' speech, like Lincoln's, begins with an acknowledgment of revered predecessors: "I shall begin with our ancestors: it is both just and proper that they should have the honour of the first mention on an occasion like the present"; then praises the uniqueness of the State's commitment to democracy: "If we look to the laws, they afford equal justice to all in their private differences"; honors the sacrifice of the slain, "Thus choosing to die resisting, rather than to live submitting, they fled only from dishonour, but met danger face to face"; and exhorts the living to continue the struggle: "You, their survivors, must determine to have as unfaltering a resolution in the field, though you may pray that it may have a happier issue."

I think I wrote earlier that the Kenya embassy bombing was in 1996. According to this article, the one I am thinking of was on 8/7/98. The date may be a clue in itself.

I have no doubts that Bill Gates has been behind all of this all along, with his accomplices.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1998_United_States_embassy_bombings

In the 1998 U.S. Embassy bombings (August 7, 1998), 257 people were killed and over 4,000 wounded in simultaneous car bomb explosions at the United States embassies in the East African capital cities of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and Nairobi, Kenya.

I find myself thinking about that scene in the movie “Hunt For Red October” where the Admiral on the carrier is discussing Ryan past with the Captain. He was elaborating about how Ryan had been in a bad helicopter accident in the Med while in the Academy. Didn’t he say that Ryan spent his 4th year in the Academy learning how to walk again? First, is the reference to something happening between his 3rd and 4th years, which I am thinking is relevant to me in that 6/7/81 was during the same academic period. Then I am wondering if I spent my 4th year learning how to write again because my right hand, which I normally wrote with, was wrecked and I had to learn how to write with my left hand. That would explain that photo I found on the USNA website that looks like me writing with my right hand.

I remember Theda was talking to me one time about how left-handed kids that were forced to write with their right hand tended to develop dyslexia. That so-called memory reminded me in turn of the character Ben Affleck portrayed in “Pearl Harbor” who seemed to have dyslexia.

Wasn’t July 2nd the day Tracie Rhodes and I got married? I can’t remember for certain what year that was but I think it was 1993. I wonder what that day actually means. The first possible connection is that it is the date that is listed as Lindsay Lohan’s birthday, whom I think is one of my daughters.

This movie, where the character Bruce Willis speaks something about how it’s a “new kind of war,” was released Friday, November 6, 1998. I remember reading something about George W. Bush saying the same thing after 9/11, which made no sense. Anyway, the previous Monday the 2nd was the 33rd birthday of Kerry Burgess. I started work at Microsoft the next month on the 7th. I wonder, though, if 11/2/98 was actually the day Kerry Burgess was born. I’ve written that I think I left for Mars on 11/2/75 so I wonder if 11/2/98 was the target date to finish the dominance of the Kerry Burgess identity in my mind. I can’t remember anything about that day but that would make sense because I remember that I was living alone and I was completely out of touch with most people at that time. I may have still been going to Sediver in York to work on any tasks they called me in for, but I can’t remember any details.

Release date November 6, 1998

The movie is about FBI agent Anthony Hubbard (Washington) trying to prevent several bus bombs from going off in New York City. After a terrorist sleeper cell succeeds in destroying one bus, the FBI identifies the cells responsible and conducts a raid. During the ensuing shootout, the members of the cell are killed. However, the elimination of the first cell activates the work of a second sleeper cell, which succeeds in bombing a Broadway theater. The second cell is eliminated, and the third cell then successfully bombs the offices of the FBI Counterterrorism Unit at One Federal Plaza. The President responds by declaring martial law and sending in the Army, led by tough Major General William Deveraux (Willis), leading to a three-way conflict between the federal agents, the army, and the terrorists.

So I am still thinking today that Kristin Kreuk may be my daughter, which as my theory goes, supports that idea because I think that if I continue pursuing such a notion, then it is probably true. Or so the theory goes.

Today, I became fully aware of another notion that Evangeline Lilly from “Lost” is also my daughter. That would explain a lot. That may explain that part where she explained that her father was a soldier that had been stationed at Fort Lewis here in Washington state. I don’t think I was a soldier stationed at Fort Lewis, but I have been thinking I was a member of Delta Force at Fort Bragg, need to think more about that though.

This reminds me of the last time I called the police for assistance. It was because I noticed something familiar about that Tacoma Mall terrorist. I can’t remember the date I was talking to the Seattle police but I think it was shortly after I arrived in the gulag at Pioneer Square. I remember standing there in front of the patrol car camera pointed at me as I told the police patrolman that I had suspicions that the vagrants in the area thought I was an informant. I think I wrote some of that in my journal, but that may have been the period when I was avoiding computer access. The part that stands out in my mind is that he immediately dismissed my suspicions and said that he didn’t think anyone thought I was an informant. Then, as usual, they dumped me off at the hospital. I don’t even remember them asking me any substantive questions. That was the time the paramedic told me I had high-blood pressure as I was waiting in the ER while strapped on the gurney.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delta_force

One of several operations in which Delta Force operators are thought to have played important roles was the invasion of Iraq in 2003. They allegedly entered Baghdad in advance, undercover with long hair and moustaches, along with SEALs from DEVGRU, guiding air strikes, building networks of informants while eavesdropping on and sabotaging Iraqi communication lines.

Also, all this information about covert operations and methods is worth big money to video game manufacturers, along with other interested parties.

9/18/2006 2:29 PM
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delta_force

Delta Force operators are granted an enormous amount of flexibility and autonomy, as with their Navy counterpart, DEVGRU. They reportedly do not maintain any general uniformed presence and civilian clothing is the norm on or off duty while at Ft. Bragg. This is done to conceal the identities of these "secret soldiers". Uniforms are rarely worn, if at all, with any markings, names, or branch names on them. Hair styles and facial hair are allowed to grow to civilian standards in order for the force to be able to blend in and not be immediately recognized as military personnel.

Some details are good to reveal to encourage recruitment, but other details are dangerous to reveal. Only the operational commanders of this group have the authority to decide where the line should be drawn as to revealing details about the group.

This may explain why I have a memory of attending the specialist school for the fire-control computers at Dam Neck. Also, that all is pretty clever metaphors.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DEVGRU

The DEVGRU compound, located on Fleet Training Center Dam Neck, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, is similar to Delta Force's at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, with a focus on operations at sea. It has firing ranges and shooting houses, a section of aircraft fuselage, and other likely hostage rescue locations. DEVGRU uses some unusual weapons because of their maritime environment, and the shooting ability of a DEVGRU operator is naturally among the best in the world.

There is this recurring sound outside my window every night. Until I found out where it was coming from and figured out what it was, I imagined it was the sound from a falling aircraft. It sounded like an airplane that was raised about twenty feet and then dropped to the ground.

Ever since I first saw this photo this morning, I have been wondering about that pilot’s name painted on the side of the aircraft. I can’t make out the first name, but it looks like the second two names are “Mac” and McConnell.
