(CNN) -- On July 23, 1969, as Apollo 11 hurtled back towards Earth, there was a problem -- a problem only a kid could solve.
It sounds like something out of a movie, but that's what it came down to as Apollo 11 sped back towards Earth after landing on the moon in 1969.
It was around 10:00 at night on July 23, and 10-year-old Greg Force was at home with his mom and three brothers. His father, Charles Force, was at work. Charles Force was the director of the NASA tracking station in Guam, where the family was living.
The Guam tracking station was to play a critical role in the return of Apollo 11 to Earth. A powerful antenna there connected NASA communications with Apollo 11, and the antenna was the only way for NASA to make its last communications with the astronauts before splashdown. But at the last minute on that night, a bearing in the antenna failed, rendering it nearly useless.
To properly replace the bearing would have required dismantling the entire antenna, and there was simply no time. So Charles Force thought of a creative solution: If he could get more grease around the failed bearing, it would probably be fine. The only problem was, nobody at the station had an arm small enough to actually reach in through the two-and-a-half inch opening and pack grease around the bearing.
And that's when Greg was called in to save the day. Charles Force sent someone out to his home to pick up Greg. Once at the tracking station, Greg reached into the tiny hole and packed grease around the failed bearing. It worked, and the station was able to successfully complete its communications role in the mission. Apollo 11 splashed down safely the next day.

I think it was last night or very early this morning I was trying to fall asleep again and I was thinking about that time in my apartment in Redmond just after I quit Microsoft when I woke up terrified because the clock had stopped. I was trying to remember that time several hours ago if that was also the dream where I woke up and thought that a fire in the other room was the cause for the red glow on the open door to my bedroom but after thinking about it a while I think those were separate and possibly unrelated dreams. So anyway I was thinking during that line of thought several hours ago with a new sense of certainty that it was not that time had stopped but rather that the clock had run out of time as though it was counting down. I woke up from that dream because it was some kind of clock that was ticking down through hours and days and minutes and seconds and then it reached zero and then was when I woke up and jumped out of bed and I was standing in the bathroom before I even started to regain my senses which is something I cannot ever recall happening before.

I just remembered again that dream I had in Feb. 2004 about nuclear bombs destroying Seattle.
In that dream, I saw 2 mushroom clouds rising above Seattle and I guess I was in the Bellevue or Redmond area when I saw it.
I did not seem to be in any danger personally from the destruction but I could not understand why no one else was concerned.

I cannot remember now if during the dream the people around me were still in motion or if it seemed that time had suddenly stopped in such a manner as I have described with that notion of hyper-reality.

I do remember that I had that nightmare around that time in Feb. 2004 about how the alarm clock in my bedroom had seemed to stop and that I was terrified because I could not understand why time had stopped.
In these latest series of thoughts, there is a similar notion and that was how I was able to write down the numbers from the bombs while not being incenerated myself by the blasts.
The dream with the alarm clock was disconnected from all that though and it just seemed to be a nightmare about how time had stopped.
The dream about the bombs back then was disturbing mostly because I could not understand why no one else was concerned.

There was a bunch of stuff in my dreams last night, but I only remember one part. I was also very tired when I woke up, but couldn't go back to sleep. The part of the dream I do remember is where I was walking down some stairs. It seemed to be outside, as in stairs leading down the outside of a building, a factory maybe. I am thinking it was at the end of something, a conclusion of something. I turned around after going down a couple of the stairs and was organizing some stuff, books maybe. I couldn't get them all together or something and I think I was going to have to make a second trip to bring them all down. Within the boxes and books, I pulled out a hat and put it on. It was a U.S. Navy Officer's cover.
Today I am also thinking back to that dream I had in my last days at Microsoft. I told a friend about it. I dreamed that someone had set off two bombs and I was watching the towering clouds from the explosions rising high into the atmosphere. I was baffled at how people were going around their normal business like nothing had happened. There was one person I recognized, a guy that was on the same team as I. I didn't understand why no one was concerned.

I’m guessing they sent me on that Orion spacecraft because I was some kind of child prodigy and they thought I was smart enough to solve any problems that arose on a spacecraft that I assume was very untested.

Now here’s something interesting I noticed today when I was looking up details on Voyager 1. Pioneer 10 is a predecessor of Voyager 1 having launched on March 2, 1972. It was that March 2nd date that caught my eye. Then I thought about my other theory about being along for the ride with Apollo 11. If I was on that pioneering mission to the Moon in 1969, I was 10 years old at the time Apollo 11 landed. I wrote about something earlier about how Apollo 11 was the mission that first landed on the Moon and I would have been 10 years, 4 months, 17 days old on July 20, 1969.
So then I got to thinking, maybe when Pioneer 10 launched, it was March 3rd for me, as I was out of the country. Then I got to thinking more about the timeline and I started thinking that maybe I was at Oxford at the time. I figure that I started Princeton on 9/2/65, graduated after 5 years in 1970 with a Master’s Degree in Computer Science. I went to Oxford for two years after that and graduated from there in 1972, possibly with a law degree.

Brilliant tv-series story
I am watching the first few minutes of this brilliant episode that is starting off with Shiv's backstory - in flashbacks - AND THIS IS PRECISELY what I had started thinking of consciously a few days ago, when May 10, 2006 began forming again in my conscious mind
With *me*, wasn't horse-racing or any type of that sort of gambling
I woke up, knew where to go to an office and meet a woman and she gave me a sort of checklist to follow. My initial funds were a modest amount she paid me for developing a computer-software program. Got me out of that homeless-shelter on the waterfront in downtown Seattle

6676. That is the ATM pin code I remember, but I don't think I have ever actually used it. I remember it from 1997 and before. I think it was also the deactivation code for the alarm system in my Country Club Estates house. I remember also the code word for the alarm company was Rios.

Could this be the reason for that 6676 pin code I "remember"? It was my ATM pin code, in the context of my artificial and symbolic memory. The code word I used when the security company that monitored my home alarm system called when the alarm went off was "Rios."
