No real point to this note
It is basically another type of observation that is a process of my original-work
The only point is simply that it is based on me making an observation on this day today, in this case today is 07/06/2026
The light-pollution is very bad here in the City of Spokane
The sprawling urban area casts a glow up into the sky above the city. Night-photography is difficult to produce anything interesting. There are other ideas I have to try to reduce the effect - if that is even possible - but have not tried.
Anything painted white will certainly be visible in the dark in the presence of light. What I see within a mile of my location does not exhibit the presence of reflective paint. Yet I can clearly see it is white in color. In total darkness then it certainly would be completely invisible. At 2:30 AM I can clearly recognize it is painted white.
By 03:17 AM there is the familiar, orange-tinge on northern horizon signaling the impending rise of the Sun on this somewhat chilly morning outside
Polaris is my favorite target in the night sky. I think of it when I look at the night sky and I think of how the motions of other stars fit in with it.
Few days ago, the track of a bright star low to the horizon in the north sky caught my attention. It is visible despite being in with the band of the thick haze of light-pollution. Did not know what it was so it was just a few minutes ago I decided to look it up.
Just minutes ago, first time I have read about the star Capella. Heard of it before. Never interested before now to take any serious note of details about it.

HMS Phoebe (F42) was a Leander-class frigate of the Royal Navy (RN). She was, like the rest of her class, named after a figure of mythology. She was built by Vickers on the Tyne. She was launched on the 19th December 1964 and commissioned on the 15th May 1966.
Phoebe was used for the filming of the popular Warship BBC drama during the 1970s, set on board the fictional HMS Hero.
