Back To The Future 3

Incredible!
"I set myself up as a blacksmith as a front...
"... while I attempted to repair the damage to the time circuits.
"Unfortunately, this proved impossible...
"... because suitable replacement parts will not be invented until 1947.
"However, I've gotten quite adept at shoeing horses and fixing wagons. "

Amazing. Absolutely amazing.
Too bad the post office isn't as efficient as the weather service.

STS-31

Launch: April 24, 1990
Landing: April 29, 1990

STS-31 was the thirty-fifth mission of the American Space Shuttle program, which launched the Hubble Space Telescope astronomical observatory into Earth orbit. The mission used the Space Shuttle Discovery, which lifted off from launchpad 39B on April 24, 1990 from Kennedy Space Center, Florida.

Discovery's crew deployed the telescope on April 25, and spent the rest of the mission tending to various scientific experiments in the shuttle's payload bay and operating a set of IMAX cameras to record the mission.

HOUSTON CHRONICLE

Soaring high above the Earth early today, the astronauts aboard the shuttle Discovery ushered in a new age of astronomy as they deployed NASA's powerful Hubble Space Telescope.

The 25,000-pound telescope was scheduled to drift free of Discovery's long robot arm at about 1 p.m. Houston time, the first step in its 15-year mission.

The release was preceded by a series of critical milestones that first freed the $1.55 billion space telescope from Discovery's cargo bay then placed it on its own battery power.

It's Clara.
Quick, cover the DeLorean!
Hello. Why, hello.
This is quite a surprise.
I hope I'm not disturbing anything.
We were just doing a little model railroading.
When my bags were thrown from the wagon...
...my telescope was damaged.
Since you mentioned an interest in science...
...I thought you might be able to repair it for me.

The American Presidency Project

Ronald Reagan

XL President of the United States: 1981 - 1989

Radio Address to the Nation on Armed Forces Day and Defense Spending

May 18, 1985

My fellow Americans:

Not too long ago one of our Ambassadors visited an American armored cavalry regiment stationed on the NATO line in Germany. As he returned to his helicopter, he was followed by a young 19-year-old trooper. The trooper asked him if he could get a message to the President. Well, the Ambassador said that sometimes getting messages to the President was part of his job. And the young trooper then said, "Will you tell him we're proud to be here, and we ain't scared of nothin."

Well, not long ago the Ambassador was in Washington and told me the sequel to that incident. I'd repeated a story in a talk that was carried on our Voice of America radio program, and there in that base in Germany the young trooper heard the broadcast and knew that I'd received his message. His commanding officer said that he ran down the company street yelling: "The system works! The system works!"

Well, the system does work, but not just because Ambassadors can get messages from a 19-year-old trooper to the President. Our system—this way of life we call democracy and freedom—really works because of the dedicated Americans like that GI in Germany, who've always been willing to defend our way of life from foreign aggressors—from those who do not love freedom and seek to destroy it.

- Doc can dance?
Son.
I just told you that even a baby could handle this weapon.
Surely you're not afraid to try. I'm not afraid of nothing.
Come on, then. Just step up here like a man.
Now, young man, what you do is just ease that hammer back and...
...squeeze off a round.
Right on out there and be real smooth.
That's the way you do it.
- Can I try that again? - Yeah, go ahead.
Tell me one thing. Where did you learn to shoot like that?
7- Eleven.

I arranged for Kerry Burgess and her to meet. Deputy US Marshal Kerry Burgess had been shot in the shoulder by gunfire from a fugitive in 1993 and she was caring for him in the months as he recovered from the injury.

The fugitive was killed by the return gunfire from Deputy US Marshal Kerry Burgess.
