Frosty the Snowman (1969 TV Movie)
Quotes
[first lines]
Narrator: I suppose it all started with the snow. You see, it was a very special kind of snow. A snow that made the happy happier, and the giddy even giddier. A snow that'd make a homecoming homier, and natural enemies, friends, natural. For it was the first snow of the season. And as any child can tell you, there's a certain magic that comes with the very first snow, especially when it falls on the day before Christmas. For when the first snow is also a Christmas snow...
[laughs]
Narrator: Well, something wonderful is bound to happen.

Hocus, we've got to find someone
to help Karen get home before she freezes.
And me to the north pole
before I melt, but who?
No, not the Marines.
No, not the president of the United States.
Oh, they were both swell ideas,
but we've got to find someone nearby.

Maybe that's where the strippers are supposed to meet.

I deliberately turned to capture that image that day. Image DSC06545 is from my Sony Cybershot digital camera. I bought it originally to document the garbage problem seriously plaguing my last apartment back in the Seattle suburbs.
On the day I captured that image I captured that image by manually pressing the shutter button. That Sony Cybershot camera has a continuous-image mode but I don't use it after discovering it did not write the date-stamp on the image. So just about all images I capture with that camera are manual shutter button clicks.
That day I captured an earlier image and then the deliberate thought crossed my mind to turn and point the camera in the direction that was the only possible direction to capture such an improbable shot. I deliberately pressed the button to capture that image and then I looked at it when I got back home having not seen it on the camera display. Well, I saw it but I didn't study it before it disappeared from the display and all I knew was that traffic obscured the image. There is also no other structure around there that could cause such an image. Do you have any possible idea of the tremendous precision required to capture that image?
Somehow there is a reason for this. The magic just works sometimes. I am not here to impress you all. Otherwise I would be living in a mansion right now, driving an expensive car without a care in the world spewing out mile after mile after mile planet-atmosphere-killing-poisons out the tailpipe.
Still something else I can't figure out that bugs me about my so-called time-traveler effect and about how what I write here affects it. Maybe this is just how it feels to win at something I am supposed to be losing at.

Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)
Quotes
Major Eaton: What exactly is a headpiece to the Staff of Ra?
Indiana: Well, the staff is just a stick. I don't know, about this big. Nobody really knows for sure how high. And it's...
[turns blackboard to blank side]
Indiana: it's, uh... it's capped with an elaborate headpiece in the shape of the sun with a crystal in the center. And what you did was, you take the staff to a special room in Tanis, a map room with a miniature of the city all laid out on the floor. And if you put the staff in a certain place at a certain time of day, the sun shone through here and made beam that came down on the floor here... and gave you the exact location of the Well of the Souls.
Colonel Musgrove: Where the Ark of the Covenant was kept, right?.

Hello?
I can't believe it.
Roy...

They didn't even want to talk to you.

Quotes
Attorney General Brown: Decker believed that if you could see around a curve that went on forever, you would end up back where you started. Looking at yourself.
Agent Dodge: Except you're not looking back at yourself now, in the present.
Attorney General Brown: No, you are not. You're looking at the future.
