Colonel Everett Young, USAF is a fictional character in the Canadian-American Metro-Goldwyn-Meyer-Syfy television series Stargate Universe, a military science fiction serial drama about the adventures of a present-day, multinational exploration team unable to return to Earth after an evacuation to the Ancient spaceship Destiny, which is travelling in a distant corner of the universe.
Young is 40 years of age and is married to Emily Young. He is a seasoned member of the Stargate Program and was in command of the Icarus Base before the Icarus personnel went through the Stargate.
Character arc
Young is 40 years old and has been married to Emily Young since 2005. His crew was forced through the Stargate, ultimately becoming stranded on the Destiny. Young is seriously injured during their first arrival and it falls to Lieutenant Matthew Scott to lead the Icarus personnel until he is able to recover. He then becomes team leader aboard the Destiny.

YOUNG (to Scott): Make sure everyone carries as much of the expedition supplies as they can.
SCOTT: Why?
YOUNG: 'Cause you're not going to Earth. Rush dialled the ninth chevron. Go.
(He turns towards the debris. Scott hesitates. Young turns back to him.)
YOUNG: Go!
(Scott turns and hurries off down the corridor.)
(The bombardment continues above ground, causing the base to shake and cement dust to cascade down on the people waiting in the Gateroom. Scott runs onto the walkway and calls out to everyone.)
SCOTT: Once I'm through, follow one at a time on a three count.
(He walks to the event horizon, pauses for a moment in front of it, then heads through. Two civilian women step onto the walkway and follow him. Nobody seems to be doing a three count, and as the evacuation continues and people get more nervous, they follow each other closely into the Gate. At the other end of the walkway, marines hand boxes and cases to each person heading for the Gate and they carry them through.)

YOUNG: Greer, go. I'm right behind you.
(He activates his radio.)
YOUNG: Hammond, this is Young. Come in. Hammond, this is Young. Come in!
(He gazes upwards hopefully but gets no reply.)
(In the Gateroom the people rescued from the corridor are the last to head for the Gate.)
MARINE: Let's go, let's go, let's go, come on, people. Let's do it, let's do it!
(Chloe and the Senator head up onto the walkway. Above the Gate, the capacitors are fritzing ominously and sparking lightning onto the Gate. As the last marines go through, Young hurries into the room and clears a couple of boxes from on top of a large crate. He picks up a backpack and quickly empties its contents out onto the floor, then reaches into the crate and takes a case out of it. On the walkway, Greer is helping an injured colleague to the Gate. He turns and look at Young.)
GREER: Sir!
YOUNG: Go!
(Stuffing the case into the bag and zipping it closed, he hauls it up and over his shoulder, then races up onto the walkway. As he runs for the Gate, the base begins to explode behind him. The shockwave reaches him while he's still running and it lifts him off his feet and pushes him at high speed into the event horizon.)

I can’t find a lot about the Burroughs terminal and ATM’s There is plenty of the B-series computers, but not a lot on what I remember working on.
The ATM was the RT-750 model. It featured the same Logic Control Unit for data processing and communication as the bank tellers used in the bank offices. As part of the RT-750, the LCU was referred to as the “BMT.” Bobbilynn Michelle Townsend, an employee of the bank was impressed that I knew that acronym stood for “Burroughs Modular Terminal.” She asked me about it one day at the bank because she noticed it was the same as her initials.

Bobbilynn Townsend is a girl I went out with a few times and that I wrote about before. I was crazy in love with her and she worked for that bank First Federal of South Carolina. She was over at my apartment on Wexford in Taylors one Friday night in January. We were watching a movie. It was “RoboCop.” It was very cold, down into the 20’s that night. The heater in my apartment had quit working. Her first job, before becoming a full-time teller, was to replenish cash in the ATM machines. If a machine was inoperative, she would call me out to repair it.
BMT BMT BMT BMT BMT She told me that co-workers at her other job called her BLT, because that seemed to be her initials. But, she told me, her initials were actually BMT, because her name was Bobbilynn Michelle Townsend. What was that car she drove? The first one was silver, the second one almost exactly the same but was teal-colored. The thought flashed in my mind that it was a Saturn, but then I decided that it wasn’t a Saturn, perhaps a Geo. Need to look that up.
BMT BMT BMT. “Burroughs Modular Terminal” I told her one time when she asked about a component of the ATM that had her initials printed on it. BMT BMT BMT BLMT BLMT BLMT

Completed search of cuneiform and other pre-dynastic hieroglyphics. No matches whatsoever. I've exhausted all reference material in comparing the symbols on the cartouche against all known writing samples from the period pre- and post-. Still no similarities...I'm never gonna get paid.
[Daniel shuts off the recording. He goes over to the coffee pot to refill his cup, only to find the carafe is practically empty.]
INT—CORRIDOR JUST OUTSIDE LAB
[Daniel shuffles out of the lab tiredly with the carafe. A guard sits by a desk with his feet propped up, reading a newspaper.]
GUARD
(admonishing)
Uh-uh-uh.
[Daniel flashes his ID badge, and the guard settles back with his paper. Daniel goes to the water fountain and refills the carafe, glancing around and noticing the front page of the guard's paper has an article title "Orion Upclose" with a quarter page photograph of the constellation. He stops filling the carafe and moves over to the paper. He grabs that page out of the guard's hands and rushes back into the lab.
