Watching again on DVD the 1998 film "U.S. Marshals" I finally decided to look closer as the Kentucky Highway Patrol cars that the fugitive rams off the road with the eighteen wheeler freight truck. That scene always piqued my interest because the color scheme of those highway patrol cars reminds me of the South Carolina highway patrol cars.
I examined the car in the video and the car in the video does match the photos I found on the Kentucky highway patrol website.
The similarity seems to be in the blue stripe that runs horizontally down the axis of the car. The Kentucky automobile has a single blue stripe while the South Carolina automobiles have a double blue stripe.
Another difference is that the blue stripe on the Kentucky vehicles is a horizontal blue stripe on the engine section of the car but then changes to a diagonal direction on the door section. The South Carolina vehicle, according to photos on the South Carolina highway patrol website that I looked up, is a double blue stripe that runs horizontally along the engine section and the driver door section.
The overall color of the Kentucky and South Carolina vehicles seems to be the same color or a very similar color.
The Kentucky vehicle in the video is a Ford model and I guess it is the same as the Ford Crown Victoria that the South Carolina highway patrol website describes. I looked to find a specific reference on the Kentucky website but there was no obvious reference to that detail and I gave up after a few minutes because I wanted to get back to watching the video, which I have paused now at the scene where they question the girlfriend in her house.
I found a detail, specifically the engine number on the engine that explodes on the prisoner transport aircraft that disappoints me about this film. I guess I have to cope with the fact that is similar to how Tom Reagan would feel most of his life: he had no friends in this world. I can understand that.

Bill, thank you very much. And Bob Herbold, thank you for inviting me to come here today. (The next comment refers to the former Army officer who is now in MS training) I had mixed emotions about you leaving the military and coming to work here. (Laughter.) And I'll tell you, I gave you mild applause. (Laughter.)
I might also point out that we have some seats that say, "Reserved for the Cohen staff," that anyone who does not want to stand up can use. Though I like the notion of having standing room only -- (laughter) But if you'd like to have a seat, we have plenty of room up front.
Coming to the Microsoft campus was something of a unique experience, as we landed in a big helicopter and I was commenting that they probably think this is "Red Dawn" -- (laughter) -- or an invasion by aliens, coming in this large helicopter.
And I wanted to be here today because I believe that Microsoft does understand the crucial connection between our national security and our national prosperity. And Bill Gates a moment ago talked about the connection that we do in fact have.
You do work on information and issues that are of critical importance to us. Critical infrastructure is something that we have to devote more and more time and thought and resources to. We have a new initiative to train those who are departing service members for information technology careers. It's very important to us, as it is to you; and even your support for the restoration of the historical battleship Missouri. So I think you appreciate the connection perhaps more than others do.

Party starts for Clinton's presidential library

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Top Clinton administration officials, both Presidents Bush, rock stars and ordinary admirers of Bill Clinton turned out today to pay homage to "a man of compassion" at the opening of the Clinton Presidential Center.
An estimated 30,000 guests were on hand for the dedication of the $165 million glass-and-steel home of artifacts and documents gathered during Clinton's eight years in the White House.
